Hulk on the move again?

FC Porto striker Hulk would welcome the chance to team up with his former boss Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea, according to the player's agent.

The 25-year-old powerhouse recently admitted that he could be tempted by a move to West London, despite an astronomical buy-out clause of £87.5million, a world record fee, which has put many top clubs off, despite reported interest from Tottenham and Inter Milan.

The Brazilian thrived under Villas-Boas during the manager's spell at the Estadio do Dragao, scoring an impressive 36 goals in 53 games last season in helping the club claim the League and Cup double as well as winning the Europa League.

And agent Theodoro Fonseca admitted to A Bola: "In all transfer windows there are polls and contacts with several clubs.

"Andre Villas-Boas knows him very well and they have a very good relationship. Hulk loves Andre and he would love to work with him at Chelsea or with any other team because he likes the way he coaches.

"In football everything is possible, but his buy-out clause is very expensive, so his future will depend on the agreement between the two clubs.

"However, Hulk is doing very well at Porto and he has a very good relationship with the club."

Does this mean he is no longer our biggest priority?

He will become world's most expensive player.

No he won't. Nobody will buy him for that price or any where close for that price.

If Porto took a soon to be 34 year old Drogba and a Torres for Hulk, then they are mugs.

Love seeing these threads and then realising they were made over a year ago! Says it all really.

He'll never play in the Premier League after the savage abuse he got at Eastlands last week

Hulk has said he wanted to join Spurs and then the next day said Arsenal would be his ideal move. He just wants out of Porto.

"Porto have valued Hulk at 100million euros but I believe this will not be a problem.

"For any club, Hulk provides goals, pleasure and titles and those are priceless."

Has the market become this ridiculous that a player like Hulk is valued by the club at 100m euros? That's a bit more than Ronaldo. A player like Bale is valued at £35-40m - Ferguson is spot on saying that there is no value in the market. Let's hope he'll find some true gems that will value playing at United. Unfortunately, it seems that the agents are controlling these young players too strongly also, making them arrogant and more capitalist than footballers.

Porto have this thing of not negotiating unless they want to sell a player.
If someone wants their player, pay the release clause.. no need to negotiate.
Thats where the 100m keep coming from.
If someone makes a serious enough bid, or if he wants a move, they might think of a more realistic price.
If they dont really need the money or want to get rid, they'll keep quoting the release fee..
fair enough

Indeed. I always feel the Portuguese clubs do very well in getting some nice money for their players.

Just look at Anderson and Nani who both almost cost 30 mio € at a very young age or Coentrao who yet has to justify that 30 mio. € price tag. Falcao, David Luiz and the list goes on and on of players that came for the Portuguese league and cost quite a lot.

Which is remarkable considering they aren't really valued much higher as the Dutch league, yet players from the Eredevise and even the Bundesliga seam to be much cheaper.

It's all the Avengers movie, Porto directors think just because the Hulk rocked the movie that this wank Hulk will do the same in terms of transfers

You wouldn't like him when he's Anzhi's.

We need this smiley in our collection for exactly this kind of post.

Porto doesn't value Hulk at 100 million euros, that's the value of his release clause, i.e., the money that would have to be paid to force a deal if we weren't interested in selling him at all. Cristiano Ronaldo has a one billion euros release clause, if I'm not mistaken.

I reckon he'll be sold for something like 40 million or so, perhaps less.
