Seems the links to Arsenal are far stronger than any links to us.

To be honest there haven't been any links to any club in German media, the only sources come from England.
Kicker reported that Dortmund might consider selling him for €40m, if he rejects their extension offer.

Ah, classic English media nonsense, most likely.

So pronounced Mikey-tarian.....had to youtube that.......He looks like a Utd player alright...has pace, works hard off the ball and great vision and an eye for a goal.....Fjortoft is pretty good with breaking stories.....You'd have to think that Pjanic was Jose's first preference and that is perhaps why we have entered late into the race for Mkhitarian now that Pjanic has opted for Juve

He is?

Why do Arsenal fans so often claim players are fans of their club. I can't find anything about it on Google.
2009:

Mkhitaryan for his own part is dreaming of the English Premier League. "My favourite team is Arsenal," said the attack-minded midfielder, who has played ten games for Armenia, scoring once. "I like their attacking play and fast style. Moreover, Arsène Wenger puts faith in young players while demanding results at the same time. I like that and want to play there one day."

Pjanic and Mkhitaryan are totally different players no?

7 years old quote. I mean things changed, their results are not really great since then and even before that.

I prefer having forwards occupying the wing positions, as we currently have with Martial currently, and go 4-3-3.

It could be just that Arsenal showed interest in him and he played the come and get me card.

I see. Just checked transfermarkt and he has one year contract left, so they might as well sell him now since they captured Dembele and use the money to rebuild their team after loosing Hummels, Gündogan, soon Auba?

Hope he's not a diehard Arsenal fan.
Yeah really is hard to say if Dortmund would sell. But imo they'd sell Mkhitaryan over Aubemyang considering the contract situation. He's in the past said Arsenal is his favourite team in England, but that was 7 years ago and a lot changes in that time. Either way I'm hoping the lure of playing under Mourinho brings him to United.

Yeah, they will look even more stylish challenging for the league before Christmas, self-implode in the new year followed by a great run-in when 1st place is totally out of reach.
They finished above us in all of the last three seasons. Obviously we need to be looking at them.

When was the last time they won the league?

I'm not saying I wouldn't like Mkhitaryan here, I would, he's a good player. Just acknowledging the likelihood of this signing for Arsenal not affecting their season template.

Isn't he more of a number 10 than a out and out winger?

Seems more of a Cazorla type, not a natural wideman in my opinion but happy to be proven otherwise.

Likes to roam a lot from what I have seen.

If we are going to have Martial at his best and allowed to roam, I'd like someone like an Alexis Sanchez out wide who can really help stretch the play.

Getting a wide playmaker would be a bad move tactically in my opinion. Would make us too narrow as a side.

Every time I see him play (only in the big games vs Bayern or English opponents in Europe), he loves to miss a load of chances.

This. Notoriously disappears from big games. Often injured and shys away from big moments. Terrible 14/15 campaign. I think he's the 2016 Pedro, took him a long time to adjust to the German league. How soon will he adjust to the epl? At 27 going on 28, we really shouldn't consider it.

Yeh, and yours since are just fantastic?.

Well If I were to compare I'd say he was more of a De Bruyne type, where Mkhitaryan is slightly quicker than KDB. They're both perhaps better as CAM's but they can play anywhere behind the striker. Cazorla is more like thiago of Bayern imo.

Most good sources say our head of transfer negotiations, Dick Law, is currently in Dortmund.

He would be a fantastic signing. His attitude is actually one of his strongest attributes. For example, when he played for Shakhtar Donetsk, he literally lived in the training camp so that nothing would distract him from football. It's because of this, constant self-improvement, a decent holding midfielder became one of the most feared attackers in the world

Isn't 40m a bit steep considering he might not extend his contract? Especially since they lost a lot of players for free lately..

I wouldn't have had him down as someone Mourinho was interested in signing although the right sided attacking position looks likely to be the most difficult void to fill.

Arsenal are not messing around this summer. Great signing, but they still need a CB and a striker.

We spent 18m on Young in the same circumstance. Easily worth 30 in today's market. Hopefully our crater sized hole on the right wing will be enough to tempt if even if the money wasn't.

Well we won tons of things since 2009, and we have Mou, who really demands titles, not just Top 4.

Trying to have an intelligent chat, not even going to bother responding to the "Arsenal only want Top 4" shite.

well be it Sane/Mhkitaryan/Griezzman/Mahrez/Embolo

all will be decent signings, and we need a winger I am sure we will get one of these or what other players are we interested for that position?

Why not? He ticks every box when it comes to a Mourinho Winger
