When he came back for England during the Euros I genuinely thought he was world class and probably the most impressive centre back in the tournament.

Maguire didn't play to the whistle. Was holding his hands up for a second allowing Zapata to get ahead of him. Had Harry reacted to Zapata, attempted a block and then wave his hands around for an offside, that would have been excusable. In fact he would have had a better chance to challenge for the ball had he first made an attempt to get back.
It's inexcusable to first call for the whistle especially in dangerous areas like the penalty area. Deal with the danger first, then shout at the ref all you want.
Worst thing is, you just know he's the first name on the teamsheet for the City game.

I don't remember a player playing a role is as many opposition goals as Maguire has this season. Continuing to play him is bordering on negligent, he's devoid of confidence.
