Burnt out? Has to be something in the fact that they both players played the euros and hardly had a break. Yet people want to add more football
Yeah this is the problem. I cannot see Ole dropping him for those two, usually I'd agree but Maguire looks shot for confidence entirely.Yep, his confidence looks shot and he needs a break- flipside, is that is going to mean a Bailly/Lindelof central defence with Varane out a few weeks. I guess we'd struggle to look any shitter at the back than we did yesterday though.
Agree, this is ridiculous. Physically can't fit more football in that they have already.Burnt out? Has to be something in the fact that they both players played the euros and hardly had a break. Yet people want to add more football
He is the Dwight Schrute to Ole's Michael Scott.
It makes complete sense that Ole would make someone like him captain.
The saga continues...
Yeah his confidence must be shot to pieces. I query why we’d rather play him unfit and lacking match sharpness than play Bailly?why give a contract to him if he’s not trusted to be an active member of the squadAgree, this is ridiculous. Physically can't fit more football in that they have already.
It's a mix of being burnt-out somewhat and his confidence being shot. I think that performance in front of his old fans at Leicester was a really bad one for Harry, they were jeering him and taking the mick, would have stung him because he wasn't fit and was totally off it and making laughably bad errors.
Definitely needs a few games out in my opinion but I can't see Ole dropping him for Bailly and Lindelof in these high pressured upcoming games.
No, but Leicester had a better defensive system & usually played on the counter which suited him. He still had those mistakes in him, but he wasn't forced into those situations quite as often as he is now.Has he looked as clueless for Leicester as he has been for us this season so far though? How often was he making those types of mistakes?
Very clearly. His central nervous system will be fried. It's bad management that he played a record-breaking run of 72 consecutive games before the Euros, played a full summer tournament, and was then thrown back into action from the start of this season. He's not really had a chance to mentally reset and rebuild again.Burnt out? Has to be something in the fact that they both players played the euros and hardly had a break. Fair point. We’re probably being a bit harsh but he was atrocious. His bosses though should see that he’s not fit, not match sharp and knackered from lack of proper break. Clearly there’s a trust issue with Bailly so we have to play with someone who’s shot of all confidence and unfitVery clearly. His central nervous system will be fried. Yeah valid point. I think he has to trust them and hope they turn up.Yeah his confidence must be shot to pieces. I query why we’d rather play him unfit and lacking match sharpness than play Bailly?why give a contract to him if he’s not trusted to be an active member of the squad
Probably before he’s ready tooYeah valid point. I think he has to trust them and hope they turn up.
In his position with his job very much on the line he will probably bank on Harry, that just what I think he will do, being he’s his captain and all.
When is Varane expected back, do we know?
What are you insinuating here? Are players still drug tested or at least breathalyse them. That performance from Maguire did not look right at all.
Just when he is won me over, he went on with a performance like that.
As much as we were overawed in midfield he did not have to be running around drunk driving.
Yeah and he’s definitely not the player we should be rushing back, he has a history of niggles and we don’t want our best defender constantly in and out carrying injuries.Probably before he’s ready too
Haha. like he was playing with a hang over. It was just a bad performance I'm struggling to understand. What are you insinuating here?

I think there’s nothing complicated about it, he’s been shit since coming back. He’s not fully fit and lacks match sharpness and now he’s had his confidence fooked up too. This is on the coaches and managerHaha. like he was playing with a hang over. It was just a bad performance I'm struggling to understand.
Aye, there's two mistakes. One is playing him when he needed more rest before returning for the season. And the second is persisting with him despite the very obvious evidence before our eyes that he is miles off it.Fair point. We’re probably being a bit harsh but he was atrocious. His bosses though should see that he’s not fit, not match sharp and knackered from lack of proper break. Unfortunately many players are in that situation. Maguire played 4245 minutes for club and national team last season, Lindelof 3950 min ( 3 matches less). This season Lindelof has played more than Maguire (club + NT). That means the player who should replace him has been playing a lot as well.Very clearly. His central nervous system will be fried. Please stop with this not fit BSIm a fan of Maguire, been a solid signing albeit overpriced.
However it is clear the guy isnt fit, neither is Shaw.
They been awful last 3 games.
Agreed. There isn't one game I can say he played well this season. He's been making errors every game. He has definitely been even worse since he returned from injury, though. He needs some time out of the team. If Ole doesn't trust Bailly, it baffles me why he was given a new contract. If he can't play a few games as a backup, why is he even at the club? Please stop with this not fit BS
Maguire has been terrible all season for fecks sake

When a English national team player of Manchester United (Maguire, Shaw), a youth player (McT) or a combo of both (Rashford) dont play well it is usually explained as 'they werent fit'. When a Lindelof, Fred or a Martial has a bad game it is because they are shit players...
Also England has three at the back, Maguire playing well in a three at the back doesnt automatically that he should reach that same level for Manchester United in two at the back system.
I do agree with you that English players get less scrutiny from the media. When a English national team player of Manchester United (Maguire, Shaw), a youth player (McT) or a combo of both (Rashford) dont play well it is usually explained as 'they werent fit'. Maybe, in which case it would be good for United.New manager comes in especially if it's Conte, Maguire should be really worried.
