He's brilliant. He led the line well throughout the game today and brings others into play. His goal was so natural as well, like he doesn't even have to look up.

Played well today again. I think he'll run out of form soon.. very little of Tottenham's other players have been chipping in with goals in recent weeks.

Rubbish. Spurs can't and probably never will be able to match us finacially. Money always has and always will talk.

It's always the same refrain from many United fans: money, money, money.

The hard fact is that Kane will not becoming to United this summer, regardless of what money you offer. You should focus on your scouting system, management, player recruitment and youth development systems instead of delusions of bludgeoning other clubs with money. Kane is beyond United and Spurs don't care about your money.

I never said he'd be coming this summer, but you're a fool if you believe money doesn't talk in football today. Continue speaking as if you actually know Kane though, it's pretty funny.

Are you deluded or something? You should know that its a fair chance a bigger club buy him, even this summer. Tottenham is a fine club, but they are not elite. The thought of playing for Man United, Barcelona, Bayern München or Real Madrid gives footballers all kinds of ideas. For example to leave the great club Tottenham.

Money talks in football, but Glaston has a point, United will probably have to beat the world record for Kane and it's not a given that we are willing to do it.

If Bale was £85m, then Kane has to be £100m+

Madrid and ourselves desperately need such a striker

Not all footballers are driven by money, and Spurs can offer a good wage anyway. Not comparable to us, but he has no reason to leave spurs in the near future. Our only hope of getting him in the next 3-4 years is if with Mourinho we get back to one of Europe's elite teams while Spurs drops away to their norm. If that happens, then sure. But as it is, all we have to attract Kane is money, with basically equal future prospects while they will be in the CL next year and have challenged for the title this year, along with him being a boyhood Spurs fan. You can't buy that with money.

Tottenham coming 3rd (as most likely) will be an absolute Hollywood season for them, and with champions league, it'd be the wrong time to move.

But if this all wears off, there's no reason his head wouldn't be turned.

Oh wait...he's "one of their own"

We spent a mini fortune on Martial, a 19 year old just this summer. I don't think we'll have s problem with going all out for an established striker.

Oh yeah if history has taught us anything it's Levy doesn't care about money, Spurs are not a selling club!

Spurs are paying him 70k a week right?

I don't believe we will sign him in the Summer, but I'm damn sure in three years time he won't be playing for Spurs.

We will have to double what we paid for Martial.

Fair points, but I disagree. One rare top four season for Spurs doesn't suddenly make them an elite club that holds onto their players. Arsenal have been robbed of their best players for years, they're a prime example.

All true.

Sooner or later though, they will have to pay him his market rate. They have never paid a player a third of what he should get this coming season.

He should in the top bracket of PL player wages, with Aguero/Sanchez/Rooney etc.

Good point... depends on his character then

He's struck me as a very down to earth kid

I think the biggest reason that would prompt a move would be if a club.... us, Madrid etc managed to poach Potchetino

It's theoretically possible we could buy him but the reality is he won't be moving clubs easily and if he did.. it wouldn't be to us, sadly.

You don't think we can do that?

I don't know if we are willing to do it and I don't know what will be the consequences on our finances. I know that Real Madrid paid a lot for Bale but at the same time they sold and made profits on several players, I don't see who we could sell for good money and balance the books.
The way I see it, if we spend +100m we will be limited in our improvement of the team.

With Mourinho coming, why the hell not? I really don't understand some of our fans. We're still in a great position to sign top players, including Kane. Maybe I'm being over optimistic, but I just don't agree we're suddenly restricted because of a couple of underwhelming seasons.

Sign him up, and can we call him Harryc Kanetona?

Spurs are likely to have Champions League football next season, whilst United may or may not have it. If they're in the Champions League and you're not I don't see a scenario where Kane wants to go to United.

Well, dealing with Levy for one, he'd want something similar or perhaps more than what he'd last got for Bale... so thats 80-85mill... minimum... then you'd wonder if he'd even want to sit down at the table to discuss it, at all... without as @MyOnlySolskjaer says, Kane needing to push for a move away to force Levy's hand. Granted on top he seems pretty happy there and they're seen as "on the rise"..
I mean it's theoretically possible, we could stump up an astronomical fee and offer Kane 4x his current wage to turn his head, we could make it happen... but it's not exactly likely to happen at this point is it?

I think around the bale money would be his pricetag. He would need to push for a move and therfore wont happen for another couple of seasons.

Anyone else reckon he might go to madrid to replace benzema in a few years? Spurs have that gay george bush style special relationship going on.

guaranteed thing is that he will leave you for a bigger club with more money, sooner or later, if you don't believe this you are simply a fool

It's not so much whether Spurs ''care'' about United or a similar financial giants' money. It's whether Kane will. And he certainly will, sooner or later, expect to be paid in the Rooney type wages band.

Maybe Spurs will change their entire business model in a year, and give him the going rate - he looks like a £250k pw+ player to me. Superstar, scores all the goals.

Most likely, they won't and he will leave. Not this coming season, but probably next.

Don't be deluded. It is entirely about the money. As Muller put it, ultimately it is a player's job and career. Of course, making as much dough as possible is a key factor.

You cannot expect a player who could EASILY earn £250-300k tomorrow at United/Real/City, etc. to stay happy, medium term, on £70k or £150k or even £200k.

I think it will be comfortably over £100m when it happens. Probably next summer.

Could easily see Real chasing him. Would break my heart if they got him.

If Madrid wants him, he will go to Madrid. If I use your argument, who isn't wrong, he will take the +200k that Madrid will offer and Tottenham will prefer a foreign club.

He is a sensation.

Not blessed with particularly impressive pace and not much to look at by first glance, he's deceptively quick footed, agile and well balanced. His movement is terrific and his work rate is equally impressive. He gets his shots off quickly and can score a gaol from any angle.

Kane is unlikely to venture to Spain at any stage. He would be worth any transfer fee. He has at least a decade of prime football ahead of him if he stays hungry.

Yes but Kane is a homegrown player. This isn't some foreign player who has no affiliation with Spurs. There is a world of a difference between if we wanted to sign Lloris, Erikson or take Pochettino, compared to taking Kane. It's like why we lost Ronaldo to Madrid compared to holding onto Giggs, Scholes, and everyone else without any problems. There is a thing called loyalty in football, especially if a club is challenging for the same thing we are at the moment. This summer is completely unrealistic anyway because of them finishing above us and them being in CL while we probably won't be.

If I was a top player, I certainly wouldn't be joining United based on their past successes. At least not under the current regime anyway.

Mourinho would at least add some pulling power. Until the club has a clear strategy in place for the immediate future, it remains a circus.

Kane should stay at Spurs for at least one more season. Leaving Spurs at 24 for an emerging United side under Mourinho makes a lot more sense.

Agreed. I would take him for £120m. I really think in the coming years, it would look a steal. I am pretty confident that Woody sees it that way too.

Money. Money. Money.

Nothing else compares.

United come in and tell Kane we will pay him £280k p/w and his sponsorships will explode over night, that is hard to say no to.

I think it is quite possible we will give it a go. We have to.

Zero chance Kane is leaving Spurs for United this Summer. Pipe dream lads. Forget it.

150 million

For Kane and Ali. Would you do push the button if the club were willing?
