Harry Kane MBE | Performances

Can't see him staying for too long, eventually he'll grow tired of never winning anything. Think he might replace Aguero at the end of next season.

I actually can't stand him  So glad that goal was offside.

Wonder if Poch will take him with him to Real in the summer?

Yeah I can just imagine this conversation:

'So Levy, we've just taken your manager, can we have your best player too?'

Not in a million years would we lose Poch and Kane in the same summer.

Kane isn't going anywhere. He is a Spurs man and will want a season in the new stadium. If Spurs fail to win a trophy come the end of next season then that may change things, but not this season.

He'll force his way out in the summer if there is no trophies and United will be in with a big bid. He is coming:devil:

I dont think him staying at Spurs is unconditional, id be more concerned as a Spurs fan if they fell out of CL spots. Players of Kane's skill want to be playing in the best league against the best players, no CL, no party, no Kane. If he was available there wouldnt be a big club in Europe not interested to throw cash at Spurs for his signature.

Just Kane/Alli & Poch who I think are drastically overhyped. I love watching Son/Eriksen play

Alli and Poch I can somewhat understand, but Kane? If you're not seeing the quality there .. just watch him today.

He's an animal of a striker. Wouldn't at all surprise me if he still got top scorer despite his injury.

Might be a little stereotypical, but to me Kane comes across like an English lad that wouldn't want to go abroad. Obviously that doesn't preclude him from leaving Spurs, but does limit his options somewhat.

He's quality, but I just don't like his style. He's very... English, like I said before. Stylistically boring.

Plus he was the posterboy for the most overhyped international campaign of my lifetime.

Fundamentally disagree. At his best he's a joy to watch, again today he's just totally unplayable. He's technically absolutely superb despite an awkward style and some of his finishes are delightful.

He has some of the traits of your typical English CF, but he's also got an excellent passing range, and deceptively good footwork. He's no more boring than a striker like Lewandowski.

Lewandowski is boring as hell, and so is Kane. Both world class mind you. I prefer strikers with trickery and flair to them. Suarez (the cnut) in his prime would be an example, Ronaldo Luiz and Zlatan as well.

Purely a stylistic preference then, I guess. I find Kane to be one of the most exciting of our players to watch.

Whenever he's in/around the box you're excited and sometimes he's just capable of bullying his way towards goal. I enjoy watching him play more than I do many of our players who possess more flair.

But there's hardly anyone with flair in your team. Erikson as a youngster in Ajax probably but he's trimmed it out of his style (for good reason too). Lamela/Lucas maybe, but they are just not very good.

Kane just missed a great chance. Hit it first time, had time to take a touch.

Lewandowski would have buried it ;)

Yup, agreed.

True. I feel like there's been a decline in flair players across Europe, doesn't seem to be as many of them around.

That's quite understandable, you've been trained over the years to anticipate a reward from Kane having the ball. That's how fans build attachments to players that don't even know they exist, they associate pleasure and excitement with that player.

Kane uses his body well, very efficient passing, shoots on target an absurd amount of times. His fundamentals as a striker are supreme. But you aren't expecting him to do a mazy dribble past 3 players and lob the keeper.

Valery and Ward-Prouse at it again.

Let's see if Kane can do a Lukaku

I knid of agree, I also dont think he is just about 'how much do I get paid?'. If he wanted that RM im sure could comfortably afford to bump up his 200k/week wages and he would be an instant upgrade on Benzema.

But there will come a time if Spurs continue along this no decent investment in the squad path where they will drop from the CL and Kane will have to decide. I mean what is their net spend on players since Pochettino took over, 50mil? Ridiculous for a club that wants top four and CL football. I think Eriksen sees which way the wind is blowing and is not signing a new contract, he has a bit more ambition than the Spurs hierarchy.

Unless he gets drunk on the taste of the new stadium, there's no way he's staying for Europa league football. Tottenham's biggest run in of recent years.

Even if they don't wuaqual, he's not going anywhere.

I think if they wuaqual and all other things stay the same (Poch stays, the squad doesn't lose its principal talent) he'll stay. But if Spurs don't wuaqual anything is possible. Levy cannot keep them all hostage against their will.

What is wuaqual?

He was far too casual yesterday, he was playing like the result was a formality.

With an attitude like that he wouldnt make it at a big club anyway so he is better off at Spuds.
