Gun control

My statement was to do with the people that move it rather than with the drugs itself though so I can see why it doesn't make sense to many.

Although a lot of it from the Balkans does move through Switzerland. And I know that from first hand knowledge from the tens and hundreds of people I know residing there, dealers included.

What's the point of smuggling drugs through Switzerland?
There is none. They don't. @LitterBug has a bit of a habit of stating with certainty stuff that's not really true.

So we've moved from:

What % of the drugs moving through Europe do you think comes from the Balkans as compared to, say, North Africa?

Much much more than you're thinking. I'd say most shipments destined for mainland Europe from North Africa, South America and Asia pass through the Balkans as they have safe passage ensured by rife corruption. In recent years after the fall of Gaddafi and free passage through Libya, a lot more has been going directly to Italy.

Also I did clarify my statement.

The graph speaks for itself.

You need to make sure suicides, criminals been killed in self defense and people shot and killed by police is not on US graphic.

Well yes...
But if every citizen had to carry a fully loaded ar15 all the time then these mass shootings would not occur as the killer would be taken out by some patriotic hero and the USA would be the safest place in the world... Usa usa usa...
Isn't that the argument some crazy right wingers (including presidential candidates) believe

I saw the 2012 statistics a few days back. There were around 11000 homicides. Out of which 400 were police shootings and another 270 odd were righteous kills by private citizens. That still leaves about 93% of that huge number as accidental or intentional shootings.

@Pogue Mahone just going back to our previous discussion, in the annual UN report of drug seziures it was calculated that around 1.4 tonnes of class a drugs from Latin America was seized in Albania in the last 12 months. Imagine how much more actually was allowed to go through.

I have a fool proof 100% guaranteed solution to the Aids crisis that I'm struggling to get funding for.

It involves infecting the entire population with Aids, then hey presto, no one need ever be worried about catching Aids again.

What's the figure for Switzerland? :smirk:

Switzerland has no sea access so only postal packages would come dirctly :p

The article was in Albanian newspaper and focused in Albania's stats. Will try and find the source.

Probably why he's an ex-marine. I had an ND once though...it's very sobering.

Yeah, they tend to just go hot. It works for their purposes but in the civilian world you generally have the time to work a thumb safety before shooting. It's part of the natural form anyway.

I'm off out to see how many crows I can kill.

Must remember to not to shoot anyone!

Her parents are clearly very closely related.

The inbreeding is at such an advanced stage they have even evolved to have no top lip, presumably thats to compensate for a severe underbite.

If I were opposing Cruz I'd just make a montage of school shootings and then finish with him making his bacon.

Stupid cnut.

Gun control in the UK (and worldwide) is going to get scary when 3D printing becomes more commonplace.

As for America? Idiots.

Showing a 12 year old how to fire a gun is a pretty major fail in my eyes as well

Seems wrong but it's a good time to learn on .22lr.

Between 12 and 14 kids are still impressionable and will pay attention to what a perceived authority figure tells them. Once they hit 15 they get rebellious and think they know everything.

In a place with as many guns around as the US , proper handling and general firearms safety is a good topic to teach your kids. It need not (should not) be done with live rounds, either.

Should we teach them how to smoke and drink properly too?

A bit off topic but the kids gun made me think of it. Has anyone watched Cars and Cars 2? It went from perfectly suitable for young kids in Cars to shooting machine guns with a James Bond theme in Cars 2. Nuts.
