Planes would be weird as they are private property, and as such I would assume the owners can dictate.
If not injuries (hopefully there were none), there has to be some property damage from returning rounds. Is anyone carrying reports on injuries related to falling bullets in the last 24 hours? Surely there can't have been none?

Believe so when the victim receives medical treatment.Yep exactly, but these will be harder to report on. Mainly because the majority of people (probably gun owners) won't report them. Gun shot wounds by law have to be reported, right?
I really shouldn’t, butJust goes to show why all teachers should be armed, she could have shot the 6 year old first and the problem would have been avoided.
Yep, they should pass a stand your (play)ground law.Just goes to show why all teachers should be armed, she could have shot the 6 year old first and the problem would have been avoided.

What kind of environment is this child living in to:
1. Have access to a gun
2. Know how to operate a firearm.

Almost bit, almost. Now what liberals? I doubt a 6 year old has much on his record, so it’s not as if background checks would have stopped this one.

Could go in a couple of threads, I’m lazy so it’s in here…
It might have stopped his irresponsible parents (or other adult) from leaving it where a 6 year old could get itNow what liberals? I doubt a 6 year old has much on his record, so it’s not as if background checks would have stopped this one.

I visited the US in 2000. Was around Boston most of the time, then a couple of nights in New Jersey. A few hours in New York, still one of the most wonderful memories of my life was coming out on the WTC subway station, on a cloudy day, our group all impressed with buildings in front of us, then looking behind us mesmerized by the twin towers disappearing into the clouds/fog, we couldn't see the top. What a wonderful experience it was. Quite a few of is had never even left our homeland so there was some Crocodille Dundee feeling on that trip.
I don't think I would go today. There's a mix of anxiety (I've never seen a firearm exceot in the hands of cops of military), but also some kind of moral disdain for what that country has become these days.
I wish I could see it improve in my lifetime, and reconsider that thought, but I'm not betting on it.
I imagined as such, I understand media explosion plays a role in the perspective. That said, if I knew then what I know now, it would have partly ruined the trip (I know myself). Ignorance is bliss, I just was far less aware of the violent culture of the country than I am now.The country is safer than 2000 overall. All the negative stuff you hear on the news now existed back then as well, in fact even worse.
Also the chance of you seeing a firearm with a civilian in the places you did visit are extremely low. Again, lower than it would be in 2000. Just putting things into perspective

I would echo this. I have lived in AL, WI, and now NC. All states where guns are prevalent, but I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen a gun in public not on an LE officer. Even now in “rural” NC I have yet to see one. Hear them yes, but not see.I don't think it was worse, just with social media it gets spread more quickly
As for seeing civilians - rural America is where you're most likely to see them, and even then it's still unlikely
It's never going to changeRights gone too far.
Hear hearIt is never going to change. Never. This country is sick. Any person that owns a handgun is in part responsible for this. I know people don’t want to hear that, even some of our friends on here as I would wager there are dozens of gun owners. But I’m sorry, you ARE. Your purchase of that gun, and the ammo for it, drives continued demand and funds lobbyists. And don’t give me any of that “I need to protect myself” fecking bullshit. Homicide ranks far down the list of causes of death for adults (not kids though, your favorite little metal death machine is now winning!! Hooray for you!). You care so much about dying? Well, how many gun owners take that much care to prevent heart and liver disease? Better not drink alcohol or eat unhealthy, right gun owners? That would be hypocritical since we’ve established you care so much about your health. Cancer? I bet you all get continuously checked for every bio marker, right? After all, your safety is super important to you. Unintentional injury is the leading cause of death, so I bet all gun owners take extreme care in everything they do. Right?
Whatever, feck you all. Every dead child and adult is on you. If that makes you feel bad how about you imagine what that teacher is feeling. Or the Uvalde kids (oh wait, they fecking died), or the Parkland kids (nope, dead too), Sandy Hook (also dead). Your continued infatuation with an instrument whose SOLE purpose is death is sick, and until you acknowledge that you have no right to ever feel anything but apathy when these stories arise. You don’t get to feel bad, or angry, or sad. Those emotions are reserved for the victims and bystanders, not the perpetrators and their enablers.
