Difficult to describe how powerful Publix is in the Southeastern US, especially in Florida. The fact that the supermarket chain so quickly halted their political donation practice so soon after the news story broke that shed light on the $670K in donations that went into the coffers of a Trump apologist now running for governor is a testament to the strength of the protesters and all the apparent lost revenue that piled up over the past few days.
It will be interesting to see if any of the donation dollars go back to those who gave it.
