Xhaka and Elneny looked like good signings on paper. Even during his purple patch Coquelin looked really limited.
The writing has been on the wall for years with Coquelin, no idea why Wenger persists with his mediocrity. Says it all about Arse though, he's their grittiest midfielder, and an absolute fart in a hurricane on so many occasions.
Xhaka looks like a walking red card a lot of the time, not sure that classes as gritty though.

Truly has been an awful buy for Arsenal. Coquelin is just mediocre and Elneny looks alright, but not first team quality. Arsenal just can't acquire that quality defensive midfielder they so desperately need.
