Granit "The Hacker" Xhaka | Likes his reds

He's a bit C.Ronaldo's look alike, but his arrogance even eclipses C.Ronaldo's while being much inferior player. Astonishing character.
He is much worse than him, before we played them in the first match of the qualifiers in Switzerland this clown was mocking our team because we won the Euros and then continued the mocking after they beat us 2 - 0, none of our players or the coach said their victory was unfair, and we certainly never said we were better than anyone.

I want Ronaldo to score an hattrick and then smile in the face of this idiot, nothing agaisnt Switzerland.

The Arsenal fans on here are much like the Arsenal team to be honest: When all is going well they're strutting their stuff around this place with their cocky swagger and when things go tits up, they go into hiding.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has hit back at those who have called him "a brainless idiot" as a result of his disciplinary difficulties in his first season in England.

Xhaka, who moved to Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer, was sent off against Swansea City in October, and was dismissed again during the Premier League win over Burnley in January.

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown went as far as to suggest the Switzerland international was jeopardising his long-term future at the club, and claimed manager Arsene Wenger "is going to have to work with Granit Xhaka and teach him how to tackle."

"What hurt me a lot was the source of the criticism and its form. It didn't come from my club, but from former players who don't know me any more than they know Arsenal," Xhaka, who has also picked up eight yellow cards for his club this term, told Swiss media.

"People who don't know anything about how I work attacked me by making me look like a brainless idiot and nasty.”

Xhaka was banned for four games following his second straight red card of the season. However, as soon as his suspension ended, he returned to the starting lineup for Arsenal's Champions League round-of-16 first leg at Bayern Munich.

"Arsene Wenger couldn't have given me a better sign of confidence. After two weeks working with the fitness coach, the coach came to me and took a weight off my shoulders: 'You're playing!'" Xhaka said.

"You see, such a sending-off can, according to the circumstances, change a career. The coach also could very well have said to me that I was a burden on the route to success. He also could have sacked me!"

Not sure why he's saying that. There's about 2-3 clubs on Bayern's level currently and none of them are PL clubs.

Xhaka: "From my view, FCBayern are on the same level with Arsenal That’s how I feel."
Not surprised, the kids view is from the locker room with the amount of cards he gets. Complete waste of money, even if he starts being good, his attitude and hot head will prevent him from maintaining it.

He's seems so poor and rather brainless.

From what we heard about him before he got here we thought he was a tough tackling CDM with a touch of Pirlo about him.
There's very little Pirlo in him. I'd be frustrated with his endless erratic tackles.

Loved how he just stood there watching for that second goal and didn't track back. This is why Arsenal will never win anything. Midfielders have terrible defensive workrates. Coquelin and back 4 can't mark everyone.

I'm sure @bucky was convinced Xhaka would be a superstar

Superstar is not the word I'd choose, but I'm going to stick with him becoming a very good player in the future. What he's shown over the last couple of years before he joined Arsenal was too good to ignore. I never understood in the first place, why he'd join Arsenal. City under Guardiola would have been a much better fit.

Still think it's true what I said here Andre Gomes:

I'll admit I am a fan and it's pissing me massively off that he's going to Arsenal, but I do think he's that good. At this moment in time I just think Xhaka has been way more consistent than a lot of other midfielders his age, which is impressive considering the role he plays. Similar to Carrick at first I think people won't appreciate him for what he does or will say that he's overhyped or overrated. I'll also admit there's every chance that he will come across as brainless for his fouls and it's very likely that he's going serve several suspensions.

He's been very poor for Arsenal, there's no denying that, but I think he's going to turn it around. He's done so in the past and he started his stint at Gladbach poorly as well.

I've got no problems with the fouls. Arsenal needs someone to get stuck in in midfield, unfortunately they needed someone who could play football as well.

That kind of leadership would be something like 4 in FM.

You being a leader is definitely all in your head, Granit. 'Cause you ain't.

To be fair any good comments I made about him happened before that quote was published. Just to be clear. Glad, he's playing the way he is.
