Higuain is the perfect striker we need, Torres apart.. he is the one. I'd pick him over Benzema if we had the choice.

He's not really about pace, in the highspeed counterattack sense, but he's quick over 5 yards. When he moves from his favourite 25 yards out spot to turn onto a through ball - he's in the area and scoring before most defenders get moving.
I'd prefer someone with real pace. Not only would it suit our team because it will open up spaces in midfield and help us in counters but also strikers with pace do really well in the premier league. Most of the better strikers have good pace. Drogba, Anelka, Torres, Rooney, Van Persie, Bent, Defoe etc
Diouf.
As reported by AS, Real Madrid have confirmed that Gonzalo Higuain is a 'non-transferable' piece of the team and that the young Argentine will remain at the Spanish capital next season.
'El Pipa' is waiting to sign a new deal with the club and it is anticipated that negotiations over a contract renewal will take place at the end of the Liga sesason. The club and player are, at the moment, far from striking an accord, but the issue is set to be resolved between Jorge Valdano and Higuain's father this summer.
This year, Higuan's numbers have shown even further improvement than his steadily improving run over the past few seasons. Winning a starting role over team-mate Karim Benzema, Higuain has been in the hunt for the Pichichi since the beginning of the year.
The Spanish press also speculates that, in addition to Pipa's exceptional numbers, fan pressure and outrage has also contributed to Madrid's decision to renew the young striker's deal. Through his work ethic and progressive maturing since his arrival at the Bernabeu, Higuain has quickly become a fan favourite at the Bernabeu and has garnered support from Madridistas worldwide.

Does Luis Fabiano have good pace? he is a fantastic finsher though!
Argentina coach Diego Maradona has revealed Gonzalo Higuain is yet to hear from Real Madrid about a new contract.
French-born Argentina international Higuain, who joined the Spanish club in 2007, has enjoyed a successful season at the Bernabeu, helping them to the runners-up spot in the Primera Liga and proving himself as a prolific goalscorer.
But Maradona has revealed the 22-year-old forward confided in him that Los Blancos have not approached him about a renewal of his current deal.
"When I saw Higuain I asked him if he had renewed his contract for 10 years and he replied that nobody had got in touch with him yet," said Maradona.
"I said to him to be calm and to let his father (Higuain's agent) get as much money as possible from the club. If not, they will sell him for €70 million (£60.9m)."

£60Mill? Silly season.
The scary thing is, city being as desperate as they are to land some names, would pay that.
Oh of course. Would do a job too.
He'd a do a job anywhere in fairness, he's immense, not 60million immense, but immense.
In a world when £80m buys you Ronaldo, £60m buys you Kaka and £60m buys you Zlatan, then £60m for Higuain is about right.
Not when Villa went for 35m
Madrid are a bit like us when it comes to selling, never getting proper value
I can see him going for around 25m of which we should definitely pay!

Yeah but they are all vastly overpriced anyway. This could turn into a digression, but if the market continues in this state of inflation we won't be seeing signings of players of Higuains ilk for a long time.
This is nothing more than speculation from Maradona, nothing from the club at all.
Having said that if he goes to city I'll not be happy.
It seemed that with Higuain Perez wants big money. He's said before that if Higuain can't accept their terms (which were absolutely pathetic by the way, a joke of a contract offer they made a few months back), he'd sell because there had been big offers for Higuain on the table. Most think those are from city.
He's only 22, the same accusation was leveled at Ronaldo as well. It's stupid. He's an exceptional talent.I don't blame Madrid for wanting rid, frankly. He's the very definition of a flat-track bully. He'll score goals galore against shit teams, but in all the games where it really mattered last season (the two games against Barcelona, the Champion's League knockout stages) he was utterly, utterly useless, as if he'd forgotten how to play football. He must have missed three open goals against Lyon.
You can't have a player who lacks that much bottle at a big club.

Nah, Ronaldo was accused of not turning up, but Higauin actually becomes a worse player. He misses open goals, fecks up his touches, falls over. He shits himself on the big stage, which is why he'll never truly make it at a big club. He'll end up at City, where he'll go the way of Robinho.
