He's running out time to start talking about the importance of 'putting the Bible back into schools' but he can still pull it off.
He's Jewish isn't he?

It's the two in tandem that I believe would set old Hardie spinning.
Turning up pissed maybe just a mistake, they could have thought they were entering a public convenience, but making a drawing of a body part on the ballot defies explanation.... unless you include the sobriety issue as well!
Farage as the leader of the opposition is the stuff of nightmares.
As an outsider looking for entretaintment, im looking forward to it
You shouldn't. The normalisation of far-right politics will have disastrous consequences.
Mine didn't have the last two, and included a candidate for the Workers Party.Parties on my postal ballot ...
Labour
Conservatives
Green
Lib Dem
Reform
Heritage Party
Communist Party of Britain
Tricky one.
The betting scandal pales into insignificance compared to this...
Government destroys £1.4bn of PPE from one Covid deal
About £1.4bn worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) has been destroyed or written off in what is understood to be the most wasteful government deal of the pandemic.

April 2020.
Theres a global pandemic where nobody has any clue how bad or how long its going to be. Nations are scrambling to get as much PPE as they can from anywhere in the world and some are employing underhand tactics to skip the line. In that environment you buy whatever you can in whatever quantity you can get it.
The consequences of not getting enough were far greater and any government would have done the same and would have been right in doing so.
It's fascinating in a bad way how some relatively small bets are a bigger story than issues like this.
Oh please give over ffs. There were numerous reports of companies who were specialists in PPE lined up to deal with such a situation who were ignored by the government solely because it was a golden opportunity to funnel off taxpayer money to their mates. In many cases these were shell companies set up over night to overpay for completely unusable equipment. Boggles my mind that anyone could defend this.

Except this case was none of these was it. It was a legitimate supplier.
Lovely story and everything but the COVID enquiry has already exposed that Gove and others were fast tracking their mates through a VIP lane. Their mates who had no experience sourcing medical grade PPE. Companies that did have experience, connections, logistics and suitable QA in the production line were ignored.April 2020.

I skim read the article. It seems this was one of the few genuine suppliers that just won the lottery with Covid, they went from supplying 8 containers a month to NHS to 800 a month. It was an already established supplier and their equipment was mostly sound, it was just not used. There are many other examples where this was not the case and money was funnelled to mates.Lovely story and everything but the COVID enquiry has already exposed that Gove and others were fast tracking their mates through a VIP lane. Your tribalism over this is quite frankly risible. Not only did a shortage of PPE caused by this cost lives it also pissed away money like never before and it’s the public that is paying for it.

Yeah, but for the 10th time thats not the case here is it. Theyre a legitimate PPE supplier who delivered exactly what they were supposed to. Save your anger for the Michelle Mones who deserve it.
To your last sentence. Outrage over a shortage of PPE but now outrage for an excess of it? Maybe just maybe it's you with the tribalism?
A million times better than people who just can't be bothered to vote.

It annoys me that people like this, from an established party, run and don't take it remotely seriously. The LDs have a strong manifesto this time around, but have no chance of getting seats with candidates like this.
If only excessive ordering with an existing legitimate supplier were somehow linked with a policy of creating need for other suppliers so that contracts could be given to mates. No the two couldn't possibly be linked.
There isn't a condition or excuse that would see you not moan about 1.4 billion in wastage if a different party did it.
Some bloke went to court here because he drew a cock and balls as his signature and banks/government authorities wouldn't accept it. He won.
Not sure he should be allowed to vote
I lived in another country in 2020 that was doing exactly the same thing. Buying every scrap of PPE they could lay their hands on. It's how the world was, it's like some of you have forgotten.
I can assure you I would be saying the same thing whichever government did it which is definitely not the case for some in here. The Tories made a fecking mess of Covid in many ways, this wasn't one of them.
I think you're being optimistic in Labour's favour this time around. All I've seen in local windows are posters for the Worker's Party. Previous elections you'd only see support for Labour and the occasion Lib Dem house. You live in Tameside then you know, nobody has a chance, only Labour.
(* Although 'Gorgeous Georges' WP might give Angela Rayner a scare)
I was pottering around Hazel Grove and then Ashton (lily's) on Sunday. In HG, I saw a load of Labour and Lib Dem posters and signs. Saw nothing in Ashton for any party.I think you're being optimistic in Labour's favour this time around. All I've seen in local windows are posters for the Worker's Party. Rayner/Labour's stance on Palestine will lose her thousands of votes.
I've not seen much for anyone. Safe Labour seat so maybe no one bothering.I was pottering around Hazel Grove and then Ashton (lily's) on Sunday. In HG, I saw a load of Labour and Lib Dem posters and signs. Saw nothing in Ashton for any party.
