Not all bad:

The headline maybe needs a dash more vitriol but on point.

The downside of the Tories being annihilated tonight is that Farage will take over the party and have a real shot at becoming PM in 10 years.
Jesus, at least enjoy those feckers being demolished for a little while before thinking so apocalyptically and there’ll be little resembling a Tory party for farage to take lead of for a while. Tomorrow is gonna hurt.

The descendant of immigrants who hates immigrants.

I hope everyone see the obvious parallel to the US election with this comment as well. You're on the money here, @Pogue Mahone

And yes, I do the same every election in Norway. Gotta vote against the Far Right bastards.
Norway has PR. It's really not the same thing.

What an awful electoral system we have here. The US is even worse. I hesitate to even call it democracy.

Got a wagyu steak out the fridge, bringing to room temperature.

Got the chianti decanted, ready for later.

Gonna pop out for a couple pints in SW London.

Voted labour. Perhaps I'm the problem
Steak was phenomenal for anyone interested.

Wasn't proper wagyu, was from m&s but Jesus it was juicy.

"Oh dear! My trousers have fallen down! And now my pants have fallen down too! Rachel! Would you mind helping me pull them back up!"

"Oh no! I've fallen down to my knees! In front of the King, no less!"

"Bumbly bumbly my silken garments have plummeted bumbly bumbly frightfully terrible bumbly kingly king."

"Before we begin, dear viewers, we need to talk about immigration..."

Be right back, @Sweet Square and I have a questionable movie to write. It'll be called Keir Fecks Everything In Sight.

Eyes Wide Shut but about a tool maker son set in Southwark.

One thing I'll never get for tis election campaign is who told Rishi to try and act 'normal' so he's 'just like everyone else'.

If he'd just been the rich stuck up out of touch cnut that he is, he probably would have done better.

I love elections, but I've never voted for the winning (national) side until tonight. Can't wait. :D

I always wanted to be Scottish.

Not sure how much I can trust a site that just told me I 87% favour Woke Capitalism and 74% favour Anarcho-Communism. That overlap feels... generous.
John Swinney grown some hair and a beard….

Yeah very accurate

One hour left until we get the exit poll that shocks the nation and we are told there will be a hung parliament :smirk:
hehe

Funny how Labour is still perceived as an alternative to the Tories. In France where I live there was a rejection of both mainstream right wing and left wing parties in 2017 with Macron's election.

Seven years later the French have voted massively for the far right and the far left, but the mainstream parties are wiped off the map.

In England there has not been such a rejection of mainstream parties.

That's because our mainstream parties have no identity

I suspect the 2-party system has something to do with it. Or rather, the single representative, first past the post system. But that amounts to the same 98% of the time.

Randomer in the pub asked me who I voted for tonight. Said he voted Reform because “Farage is the geezer”
