Gary Neville

Why would anyone want neville's opinion on whether a manager should be sacked?

It doesn't matter what the situation is. The answer is given in advance.

Hasn't it been reported that the meetings today are not just about team performances but they are discussing the regeneration/new stadium plans hence why Neville is there as he has been involved with the planning.

This. People too quick to jump to conclusions.

Exactly. He will never do it so why get wound up when he doesn't do it?

To give his honest opinion, as opposed to hiding behind some silly self created oath that shows him to be a hypocrite.

His primary job is to be a media personality and drive views. The parameters of him doing so don't indicate that he's forced to comment on something he feels is inappropriate.

It's not his job to say a manager should be sacked.

That's not what I want from a pundit. Otherwise, you could have any clown from any walk of life on there to drive views. I want an ex-player to give their honest opinion on a subject and not put out the same tired clichés, whilst doing the complete opposite when it concerns him personally.

He genuinely is self-entitled enough to believe that he is some sort of spokesman for the fans. Completely deluded.

He's an architect too?

The guy has a hotel right next to the stadium, has played for the club and has various development properties within Manchest, why would it be weird that he is part of the overall talks about regeneration within the area? I'd imagine there will be various invested parties involved in the discussions. Honestly, the overral negative slant being put on every single thing about the club from certain fans is very annoying.

I feel bad for England-based Caf members who suffer from seeing this tool on the TV weekly. Spitting in our fanbase's face consistently, talking complete bullshit ("no United fan wants ten Hag sacked"), and always putting his ego and agenda ahead of the club. Disgraceful man, it's quite impressive he has embarrassed himself as a manager more than any other former player and some still take him seriously

big shame he's involved in anything related to United, why the feck would they consult him on the new stadium plans  it's just never-ending nepotism and idiocracy, rather than consult people with actual knowledge of the stuff we surround ourselves with "former-legend-always-knows-best"

When you say he has a hotel, how much of the hotel do you think he owns?

Because the fact you're filthy rich and bought a hotel and properties around the club doesn't make you an expert in architecture and urban planning? Should he also advise our medical staff because he was in hospital once and has played for the club? This is Soviet-level incompetence and nepotism, one of the main reasons of United's troubles and lack of success - 'we know the guy and he's a former legend, so he has to know better than the experts in the field'.

Im joking.

True, but it might simply mean that he owns property that's needed to do what they are planning.

He’s insufferable tonight. I’m not sure why he even agrees to commentate on our games.

He clearly doesn’t like it and he’s significantly poorer at his job for doing it.

He just can’t bring himself to say anything positive about us. I don’t mind him in the studio and some of his views on the game but his co-comms is utter turd.

Anything 50-50 he sides with the opposition. Pathetic.

Claims that Onana just ran into the Chelsea players.

Watches a replay showing Colwill deliberately stepping across Onana.

Maintains his stance.

If there was an option to switch off the commentary I'd use it in a heartbeat.

He really wanted a penalty for Chelsea but doesn’t even mention the tackle on Rashford

He cannot say anything positive about United at all, so bizarre.
Yet a fortunate touch from Palmer and Colwill committing foul after foul is all good apparently.

He is a complete prat, actually used the word dismantled when describing Chelsea passing through us.

Yeah I noticed that as well. He's weird. So desperate to call us shit

That was hilarious. He was too embarrassed to admit he was wrong. The replay clearly shows Colwill going out his way to shoulder barge Onana. Yet Neville watches the replay and insists Onana ran into him. “Where are the Chelsea players meant to go?” Mental!

Impossible for him to be positive to us, the Onana one was worst of all.

I’d carragher commentate our games at this point.

He does seem to love to make a big deal out of feck all when it comes to us.
