Gary Neville - Pundit

He is a limited self indulgent pundit who likes the sound of his own voice

Sky sports could do so much better
The original idea of Neville/Carragher was good when it was a tactical thing on monday night football (from memory), neither had been that long out of the game and were much more clued up than their contemporaries at the time. That was 13 years ago!

The worst thing about Neville though is what you have said, he loves his own voice and to take on the title of being a voice for people i.e. the super league thing where he tried to makeout he was some champion of the people. There's only one destination for people with money and who like the sound of their own voice, he'll end up in politics without a question of a doubt.

Absolute joke. Couldn’t wait for the game to finish yesterday to just not hear him anymore

Definitely, bet your house on that.

If we’re bad like he’s saying, it’s assisted by the fact that Amorim is rotating the squad most games and treating a bunch of games like it’s pre-season (undoubtedly to see who can handle his system). I’d much rather him stick to his principles than default to counterattack team dating back to the Solskjaer days. We may get better results but we’re still treading water.

Utter fecking cnut. United win late on in a Manchester Derby and this motherfecker is complaining about quality of derby and how poor it has been. feck him.

So fecking annoying. Tries so hard to be neutral, ends up calling everything against United.

Says we didn't deserve it??

What game was he watching? We dominated from start to finish, yes the quality wasn't there but to say we didn't deserve it is foolish.

Colossal prick.

“Ooooh oooooh Hojlund”

“Maybe Walker will be a bit embarrassed”

“Bruno is apologising”

WTF is he on about? City created nothing bar the goal from the corner.

We had more chances. It's a deserved win.

Incredibly negative. I really don't understand him, sure the match wasn't top quality and we struggled in build up, particularly in the first half but we were good value for the win.

Even at 1-0, despite the score, I saw positive signs

Wait until he's twitting a picture of him drinking wine celebrating. And some will, again, start licking his bum...

What a bunch of sheep.

He’s essentially a fan on commentary. It’s like sticking someone from the matchday thread on sky sports.

Even if there’s some truth to what he’s saying, nobody wants to listen to a fan rant about the game for 90 minutes

He tries WAY to hard to not be united bias. People like Carra are and embrace it, stop being a bellend Gaz

He is an absolute cnut of a commentator. He’s been incredibly negative and seems intent on shitting on the whole team and performance, giving all the credit to Amad.

As if we didn’t keep ourselves in the game by defending well and keeping the ball. Trying to make it like everyone was dogshit when Licha, Ugarte, De Ligt and Maguire all had good games. Even Mazraoui was pretty good despite having a really difficult assignment.

When you want someone to say something intelligent, he’s always there to say “ohhhhhhh” or “ooooooooh” or one time “Romero, you you you you you.”

What was that bullshit about it not being deserved? We were every bit as good as City!

You can tell he’s embarrassed by his usual orgasm celebration for our winner. Needs to double down and say we didn’t deserve it to make it look like he’s not biased.

Perfect summary. He’s a complete dose.

He is fine and people overreact in a ridiculous manner to him not being Paddy Crerand for Utd games.

The overall standard of that game was shocking, Utd showed great character to keep pushing though, and deserved to win the match in the end.

Caf users regularly complained about Crerand, what you on about? Neville is overly negative and biased against us.

People massively exaggerate that in my opinion, then it becomes an echo chamber.

Neville is not biased against Utd, that is a ridiculous position. The Caf seems to expect him to mirror whatever the prevailing view is on here and if he doesn't he is anti-Utd.

He’s talking sense now in the Sky studio. Basically saying players are taking the piss and Amorim is justified in his actions.

I think he definitely does lean overly towards lazy criticism at times. Either as an effort to appear unbiased or to highlight how his team of superleaders never would have got anything wrong.

He does obviously love Utd though.

I imagine he’s sick that we’ve won today, was just banging on about how we couldn’t beat a city team that’s been at its worst for 5000 years all game.

I don't get Micah trying to play devil's advocate here. There is no excuse for Rashford refusing to run back.

Deflecting from having to talk about City and putting the attention back on United and Rashford.

Even after we win, they are trying to create drama.
