Wonder if we'll break the bank to sign him in the summer? Seems to me he is the most obvious replacement for Giggs in World football at the moment
Which probably means we wont go for him.
Bale is probably the best home grown talent since Rooney
We spent big to get Rooney, Bale is probably the best home grown talent since Rooney so fingers crossed being home grown will mean we will go for him...
The club and the transfer policy have both changed a lot since that time.
We didnt go for an obvious player to replace Tevez or Ronaldo, I doubt we'll go for obvious players to replace Giggs or Scholes.

Says as much about the home grown talent as it does about Bale tbh.
Even if Spurs dont make the CL, I dont think Spuds will sell. Levy usually gets another year out of a player at least if they want to leave as what happened with Carrick and Berbs and as long as they make the CL - Bale wont be for sale! Cant wait to see how much Man City offer for him over over the summer!
Spurs will not finish top 4 this season. Shitty will fill their spot
"Their spot" ????Spurs will not finish top 4 this season. Shitty will fill their spot
"Their spot" ????
You write as if a top 3 place is nailed on this season for each of Chelsea, Man. Utd and Arsenal, with only 4th place up for grabs by Spurs or City or whoever. But it ain't actually so.
There are only 6 points separating the current top 6 clubs, with a long way yet to go in the season .... a season that has already shown that teams like Chelsea and Arsenal are eminently beatable.
We didn't get an obvious replacement for Ronaldo as there isn't one, a right sided winger is the best we could do and we got a good one with Valencia
When Giggs goes we'll need a left sided winger, Bale fits the bill perfectly
A top 3 spot is pretty much assured for United and Cheslea. Have no qualms about that. It's Arsenal who are still shaky but should be strong enough fora top 4 finish."Their spot" ????

Bale's goal yesterday was very good: took the ball in his stride, once touch and then an instant hit with the outside of his left foot.
Never mind LB or LW ... even playing as a striker I reckon he'd be top notch.

Don't be going overboard. He is not a striker. It was a good finish, but a good finish doesn't make you a top striker. I remember John O'Shea scoring a brilliant goal against Arsenal, that didn't mean he could be a great striker.
I reckon it's Wilshere.
Obviously there's zero chance of us getting Wilshere, but to be honest the chances of us getting Bale aren't much better. Spurs will want crazy money for him.
It's just a shame we couldn't get him from Southampton... Didn't he turn us down in favour of Spurs then? Bad move, Gareth.
Cristianos physique and Messi's left foot and Gigg's dedication to training and potential longevity... Sign him I say, what have we got to lose. I say we include Gibson in a player plus cash deal
Tevez' face
Someone brought up a comparison between Bale and Wilshire. That's a tough one. Probably too early to tell for both.
