Gareth Bale | Linked with United again

At most, like one of the poster suggested, if Real offered Bale for two year loan deal with no obligation to buy at the end of the loan deal then I would probably okay with Bale coming to United.

Other than that, I think it would be a disaster waiting to happen. Sorry Bale, but three years too late.

We have our own Bale and maybe better he will be in coming years just give him the trust and he deserves to be a regular starter, yes it's Martial for me.

Mourinho scared me little when he said he was interested in the summer. I don't know why Real didn't sell him then or actually they couldn't.

We signing him to keep Shaw company then? He's always relied on his pace and power and now it's on the wane we should stay away.

No thanks.

Only way I’d be slightly interested is if we could agree a J Rodriguez like deal like Bayern got.

This.... missed him twice (or didn't want him depending on which story is true).

Has been an excellent player and still pretty good but this is Real trying to dump their unwanted players on us. Cheap or loan or no.

Can't understand why Spurs are linked with a move. Yes, they got some clause allowing them to match offers made, but are they going to entice him with a fifth of what he currently earns? They'd have to well and truly demolish their wage structure. Buying him back would probably mean having to level up all the first team's wages 100%.

I was tempted over this past summer but his injury record has just been way too horrible, we would be idiots to pay a big fee. Physically, he might just be done because he can't stop getting injured. I would take him on a loan deal or a low transfer fee but I don't see Real doing that.

Real madrid Should offer 2 year loan deal like Bayern Munich got with James rodriguez and part of his wages too with 30 m transfer option at the end of it . Then we should think of it otherwise make no sense absolutely.

If we ll buy him for even 30M, we are serious idiots. He is unable to stay fit in a protected league like La Liga. He ll get roasted in PL.

Makes perfect sense from our perspective, not sure Real would be party to such a deal.

Besides which we're stocked on left wingers with Martial and Rashford fighting over the role, throwing Bale in to the mix would cause more problems than it's worth.

Real would never agree to such a deal. They seem to actually like Bayern/Carlo for one.

Their treatment of a homegrown player when he tried to sign for us should tell you they simply don't like us after faxgate.

Then feck them.

Well, to be fair to him, he would have to be fit to cause problems...

I wouldn't want him simply for the fact that he rejected us even when Madrid's fans were booing him and breaking the windows of his car. he shut us down whenever he had the chance to. He and Madrid can go feck themselves.

No, no, no....aside from anything else, only want players who want to be here and whilst I acknowledge leaving Real isn't the most easiest decision, if nothing else for me the summer was the perfect time to have left.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's a back up option to who we are really after. Before last summer there was endless speculation about Perisic and Morata who I think were our Plan B options if the Plan A options failed and perhaps Woody and Jose were happy to let the press thing our Plan B options were the Plan A options to distract other clubs as to who our main targets were. I think Bale will be our Plan B option if we can't get Dybala or Pulisic.

Why doesn't this story just go away? His injury problems have been horrible and he like Jones can't seem to stay fit for more than 2 weeks without getting another injury. Add on top of that his wage demands and the amount of transfer fee Real would fleece from us we would look like right proper mugs if we do this deal.

Hope Bale ends up with Sneijder/Garay where we were constantly linked to them but never ended up signing them.

I wholeheartedly agree sir and if we were to buy him he’d have to be the dogs bollocks from the get go to convince me buying him was the right thing to do.

I think a lot of people are looking at Bale as if he would be the Bale of a few years ago AND would be fit most of the time.

Unless this is sarcasm, I really have not seen many posters (maybe like 5) who say they want Bale.

The United board wouldn't pony up an extra 10m for Perisic last summer. No way the board spends 230m in fees and wages for Bale. United want to compete with Real in CL so don't throw them a life line by taking a 30m/year wage bill off their books. That wage bill will keep 3 useful players out of their squad as long as the contract runs. Advantage United.

If United want Bale (which is doubtful in my opinion given the injury problems) then there’s every chance it’ll be at a reduced fee.

No big club is going to pay mega bucks for him and in terms of wages he may well have to take a cut if he wants a move. He doesn’t strike me as a player who’d sit on his arse collecting a wage but I guess that’s for him.

Madrid will be in the same position they were with Rodriguez last year.

give us 200m euros and we'll pry De Bruyne away from City. Deal? :D

Umm,:rolleyes: we would be stupid to give you 200m for bale so you could pry De Bryne away from City? I don't think so but thanks for the offers, we'll pass.

I'd happily take him on a 2 year loan deal with his wages fully subsidised. Then I'd play him in the reserve squad with Shaw till they develop a solid partnership down that left flank. Then I'd maybe put him on the bench 3-4 times and send him out to warm up with 30 mins left every time, but never sub him in.

In other words, he can go feck himself.
