Gareth Bale | Linked with United again

GOD NO!!!

We should not be buying Bale no matter whatever the cost, hes a complete crock.

If Utd are serious about being the biggest club in the world, you dont buy 2nd hand crocked talent 5years after Madrid have got the best of him. We should have bought him BEFORE he went to Madrid.

Fact is, Real would be taking the piss if they think they can spend £80m on him, run him into the ground then offer him to us for £70m as has been mentioned.

And my attitude to Bale is "f*ck him!". He didnt want to come to Utd while at Spurs and chose Madrid so why come here now? Go f*ck yourself Bale. Were the biggest club in the world, not some bloody 2 bit club that picks up 2nd hand rejects on the wane. You had your chance, get yourself off to Everton or some such shjte club.

Im currently backing Mourinho but if he sanctions any buy of Bale that will be it for me. I dont care what anyone says about him being "talent", yeah he was at Spurs (saw him play a few times) and early years at Madrid but his ship has sailed. If Utd want to spend £70m then do it on 2 new young talented players, not on this knackered old Welsh teacake.

Nah that ship has sailed. Injury prone and on £600k a week. We'd be fools to even consider it.

Imagine Utds physio department is horrified at the prospect of Bale joining the club, with him and Jones in the treatment room theres gonna be a round the clock shift rota incoming!!

He was great in his final season at Spurs but has been a complete crock ever since he joined RM.Wouldn't want him even on a free with these injuries and wages. And why would we spent a fortune on a player who turned us down in the past?Like others have said that ship has sailed more than 4 years ago.

Will be Jose‘s last season. Sack Woodward too, the muppet is chasing bale for years like his ex girlfriend

Won't happen unless it comes with a loan option so he can prove fitness (like Falcao). We wouldn't spend the sort of money he'd cost in fees and wages when he's been injured 25+ times since joining Madrid and can't play consecutive matches.

In a playing sense anybody who doesn’t want Bale at our club is kidding themselves on. Plus I’d also rather keep Martial as long term but come on lads Bale is far superior. As a financial deal or fitness point of view I fully understand why we would be reluctant though but let’s not pretend he wouldn’t automatically be our best attacking player.

I said back in summer that madrid and perez were fools to not sell him. 2017 summer was the best chance for every party especially madrid to gain something from bale. Next summer will be even tough now.

We would be fools to pay 80odd.million for him. Having said that I have always been a huge fan of him and we all have seen when fit he is a true world class player which we have been missing since ronaldo left. Maybe a year or 2 late. Rather buy some young talent and make him a star or buy a player who is about to be a star.

I do think he will leave Madrid in the summer. He is on too much money and is injured too often. Isco and Asensio have replaced him in the minds of the fans. Zidane prefers a diamond formation and Bale just doesn't fit. Plus, being WC year, Perez will be aiming for a big post-WC signing.

And Bale fits into the Mou strategy of signing big name players.

But would it work out? I'm not so sure.

Stay away!
Unless we get a discount for injuries, which we won’t, he is also reaching a certain age. His strength has always been pace and extreme physique, but he has a lot of injuries (all body parts are more prone to new injuries when they have already happened) and they will continue happening.

In this crazy market, with our crazy revenues, I said it’s a punt worth taking. A punt can be any size. The amount of risk is commensurate with the size of the transaction and contextual factors.
Oh ok, if you say so.

We sure would. Bale playing at United is one of those inevitabilities, I reckon.

Pace and extreme physique are exactly what are causing the injuries I would guess, as his body copes less and less well with the power being put through it. We'd be mad to buy him.

Yeah this seems the only reasonable way to do it. Falcao-esque loan deal.

It's been a while since Real bought a proper 'Galactico', and the market has moved on massively since they last did. They dont have the market to themselves anymore, over the next few years, they'll be looking to replace Bale, Ronaldo, and Benzema, and Modric is getting on too. They'll be asked to stump up £100m+ for every target, just like Barca were with Dembele and Coutinho. No way we should be making this easier by putting cash in their pocket.

Part of me would think even if he was a bit of a flop, the marketing machine at United would make a ton of money having him in our colours.

Not that it will feel much better if he can't deliver much on the pitch.

Exactly, instead we should be chasing the ones they will be chasing like Dybala, Pulisic etc.

He is a good player no doubt but he is broken and a Madrid reject thats won 3 cl.

I bet he is no longer as motivated as he once was, It would be a mistake to bring him here now.

Also he never seems to give a shit about Utd so why should we take the risk now he is a walking injury.

Im happy he has done well in Madrid but the obsession wit him is stupid.

HE DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY FOR MAN UTD.

Get that into your stupid little brains, I dont want another Angel i want a Red Devil..

Am I the only one who will say yes....

Although he is injury-prone, he would immediately solve our right wing attack problem right away, and he's match winner.

I think a lot of people are looking at Bale as if he would be the Bale of a few years ago AND would be fit most of the time.

Granted we have too many injuries but you're taking the "United Injured 11" line ups way too seriously now.

If we signed him surely his contract would have a ton of appearance/goal related stipulations.

He has already rejected us (twice, IIRC?), and he’s way to injury prone for him to be worth a punt.

Just leave this here for anyone who thinks this is a good idea

Bale has missed 36.4% of the matches Real Madrid have played since they signed him.[@LucasNavarreteM]

Would take for money.
Wouldn't trade for Rashford, Martial, Pogba, De Gea or other good players we have.
