Gareth Bale | Linked with United again

If Jones and Shaw could keep their form and health, we'd be 2 players away from having a side who could be as good as Real, Barsa, Bayern or PSG, IMO. If Bale is available, we should take him...

Valencia---- Bailly--------Jones--------Shaw

Bale and Saúl would be my priorities for the summer.

i wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. the fecker reject us each time he had the chance to. we aren't a retirement home.

He is way too comfortable in Madrid to ever agitate a move to United. And Perez likes him so he wont let him go easily.

This is not one bad injury - this is a multitude of ankle, calf, hamstring and hip problems, reoccurring in a continuous cycle that the player has proven unable to break.

In Bale's last two seasons he was unavailable through injury for 209 days (44 games missed). He's then missed a further 68 days (14 games) so far this season. He's a complete mess, soon to be 29, and would cost an exorbitant fee. It's not worth it.
Not to mention he's going bald. That is a huge problem too.

His preference is Tottenham, if this article is to believed. Could form part of a Kane swap? Bale + £120m or so for Kane? Maybe reduce the money and throw in Benzema too.

Bale is a very special player. He has it all. Unfortunately he is injury prone. He also had the chance to join us before and chose Tottenham instead. I wish he would have signed for us back then. Could have been a United legend...

Saul definitely. Bale? I rate him on his day but if we are going to relegate Martial/Rashford to limited roles I'd rather it be for Griezmann.

When injury free, Bale would easily be one of the stars in the PL. But he's turned us down before, is injury prone, is on massive wages, and is nearing the twilight of his career. All the warning signs are there. Stay clear. Like many others, I'd love for him to stay at Real until the end of his gargantuan contract runs out. But you always know there's one silly club in the PL willing to "make a statement" and sign him on a 5-year-deal with massive wages.

I'm pretty sure that Spurs would get a better deal from Real than we would. Let them have him. They are of no concern to us.

Yeah, maybe not necessary Bale... What i meant was a World Class RW, preferably left footed. Bar Griezmann and Bale, don't know who else fill the bill

Martial over Bale or Ronaldo for me.
This is not 2013.

Yes but Perez is a businessman and he knows he has already made a mistake by not selling him last summer. With each year they are losing value on him. Can't see anyone paying £100m for bale now and if by chance they keep him for one more year then considering his fitness it would become even more difficult selling him.

The guy has played professional football forever, was a teenage sensation, turns 29 in the summer and still hasn't played over 300 league games! Stay away, his injuries are only going to get worse as he nears 30+ - all of us over 30 know how the body works, both for a professional footballer or Sunday League-player. Joints, ligaments, knee, ankle, back - it only gets worse, especially if you're 185+, which I sadly know all about.

It's not my money hell yeah get him if he's available, not sure the club will sanction it after the Sanchez signing though

Not even half the player he was a couple of years ago, any swap involving him and DDG would be a real downer. Even Bale plus cash and then losing DDG would be a kick in the guts.

Wouldn't want him whilst Mourinho is manager. There's absolutely no point is buying good attacking players in our current system.

Has to be a James -> Bayern type of deal or else it's not worth the time.

I’d agree with that, I suggested the same in the summer. I think they’re looking to cash in, however, and will hold off for a sale.

If we can get him around the £35m mark at a not too ridiculous wage I’d go for it.

Imagine he stayed injury free and hit the form of his life just as we sign him. Then, like Sanchez & Pogba, we break him

I dont want Bale and I agree we are not being coached well in an attacking sense right now, but this is ridculous. So we just shouldnt buy good attackers? How bad would we be in the same system with poor attacking players...

This again? Sure for 30mil might b worth a punt if hes willing to take a massive wage cut. Anything else and definitely a no, especially not for DDG.

Honestly if it means someone to play on the right, I'd take Darren Anderton right now.
