Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

I don't want to read all the posts on the last page in detail because it seems as though people are hinting at book spoilers. If that's the case, can you please delete your posts and then jump out of the nearest window. Thanks.

Cheers Dante. I think I'll watch it again but that's handy. :)

Paranoia. There isn't anything whatsoever that isn't mention and shown on TV show that has been posted there.

Can Revan just be thread banned from here? If he's not dropping spoiler hints, he always has a high and mighty attitude as though he's better than everyone else for having read the books.

Can you just not read this thread, please. If I spoiler something report the post, if not feck off.

I am not sure about Jaime. Not kill him but keep him, he was such a valuable hostage. It was his mom's fault of course but he should have sent his mum at Winterfell long time ago. Betraying Frey by not marying his daughter and especially killing Karstark was idiotic.

Ned was really on a terrible position. Possibly on the long term the sanest thing to do was to made a pact with Littlefinger and Renly who could have provided the resources (and in that case Littlefinger wouldn't have betrayed him) to capture Cersei and her kids. That would have meant that Renly will became a King and while he wasn't the rightful King, Stannis (or even Robert) weren't too. Renly was a selfish prick, I agree but he was beloved and on space of a few days made an army of 100k soldiers.

As much as I like Stannis (well in show they made him a bit wank) and he was all the time not treated well and with respect from Robert, almost nobody on Westeros wanted him as a King. Ned did the honorable thing by sticking with him, but it cost his life and made Lannisters even more powerful.

They should've kept him, but there was probably still a big risk that someone would still find a way to kill him and you can understand why Catelyn, as a mother, did what she did. Robb was a dick for criticising her for that when his marriage was probably a much worse move.

Yeah, making Renly king would've been an ideal move but I can see why Ned didn't in the end. He was just in such a difficult situation, but Robert was kind of horrible to his old friend. Basically forced him to leave his home and family to then do his job for him and put him in an impossible situation. If Stannis wasn't so dour then a lot more would probably have him as their king, but I like the character (although I won't get into show vs book discussions since this isn't the place).;)

 How am I the issue when you're the one constantly posting questionable stuff?

Find then the questionable stuff and report it, find anything that I spoilered that hasn't been shown of TV show or in anything that I have speculated that will happen in the future. Or shut up.

I don't really know about his history in the thread but I can't see anything remotely spoilerish he's posted.

I also can't stand Danerys, she is literally unstoppable. 'Oh I need an army, here I'll take this elite force' she just goes all over the place doing what she wants. Rob was so stupid an the irony was he was initially hesitant because he thought Frey's daughter would be ugly and she was beautiful. Tywin is such a scumbag, he treats his whole family like crap. One of my best moments was he conversation with Olenna Tyrell, she has some of the best/wittiest lines on the show. She was the only person who I saw fluster him.

I like Jaime, I think it's solely because he is such a gifted swordsman. Joffrey is sick and of course everybody loves Tyrion.

Tywin is a fecking dude. Everything he does he does for the betterment of his family name.... and he doesn't take any shit about it.

I find Danerys to be completely unlikeable, and a massive contradiction... I wonder if she's bi-polar.

They should replace her with Claire Danes in next season!!
yeah but ... tits.
Bravo monsieur, bravo.

I should have used the word flustered, the old lady had some gems throughout season 3 though. I'm really look forward to this season, I haven't read the books (have been tempted) and I stay away from youtube clips. Does anybody care about those monsters that are coming?

BREAKING: Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres April 6 at 9PM and the first trailer will air this Sunday at 8:58PM ET on HBObefore True Detective.

So they've posted the teaser for a trailer.

Well done.

I've seen networks announce that "in the next few days" they'll be announcing the date that they will be announcing the start of the next series of a show. They have an announcement, announcing an announcement that will announce the date of an announcement.

He hasn't said anything remotely book spoilerish. The only thing that gives away Revan having read the books is that he can remember character names like Karstarck, whereas I think just watching the TV show you'd have a tough time recalling a few of the fringe characters.

Getting a character name right isn't a spoiler ffs.

Just finished re-watching season 2, the blackwater episode
Really can't wait for season 4, although I kind wish I didn't read the previous books for stuff like the red wedding, it's a completely different shock actually watching the episode and reading about it in a book.

He's slipped spoilers in plenty of times.

This season is going to be amazing. God, ASOS was such a fecking good book. If I could choose one series to forget everything and reread again, it would be ASOIAF.

Agreed. It's not a spoiler really to say its a great book I take it? Anyways, I wish I would have done it like I intended at first, watch one season then read the book. That lasted as long as the first season and a bit through season 2... and then I just went on with the others. Even knowing what happens doesn't get rid of the shock factor and the amazement though. I guess what you lose in a tiny bit of shock, you gain in understanding it all better and knowing who's who and all that.

How about both of you go read it together and shut the feck up about it in here? Us lesser mortals are having enough trouble understanding it already, without the muddleness of book readers cnuts.

That gif is one which I'll never tire of watching.

This thread is unreadable if you haven't read the books.

It's not really. There's nothing book spoilerish at all and it's well moderated. People just seem to equate not been confused by everything to a book reader posting spoilers when it's incredibly different. If you were to look through the thread then you'd struggle to find one blatant spoiler.

The post above about season 4 probably being amazing is probably annoying for people who haven't read the books, but it's the worst that's in this thread and is barely a spoiler. If posters who don't read the books don't want to be posting with people who are remotely knowledgeable about the series because they've read the books, then they'd probably be better staying out the thread. These people who know the series aren't posting spoilers at all.

Yeah, it's hardly an outlandish thing to say it should be a great season either considering every one of them so far have been brilliant. It's just people being too nervous that somebody will spoiler something in a post on accident and ruin it for them.

I think book readers (like me) shouldn't be allowed post anything regarding the books in any single way in this thread at all, and that includes Mel and bosnian's posts above.

Yeah fair enough, I've deleted mine. Still shows up on the quoted posts.
