Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Cina why is your post count not higher? You post everywhere yet your post count has stayed the same for a year.

I doubt that, I'd say it's less than a year since I was under 20k.

I barely posted at all in my first 3 years here, it was only when I started working (Sept 2010) I started properly posting.

Daenerys' assistant/translator.

I generally avoid this thread so I don't spoiler myself, but I'm currently on After the Feast and this has just happened so I felt the need to have a wee rant as I can't moan to my other half as he isn't reading them but is watching the TV show:

Anyway, I reckon I'll finish it off within the next couple of weeks, and then I am fully caught up. It will be a relief for a while so I can take a break from them but I will miss it quite soon. I love and hate these books. They are a brilliant read and I love escaping into them, but the emotional rollercoaster is intense.

Wrong thread.

Don't be opening that spoiler unless you've read the book.

Delete that shit now.

I opened it and quickly closed it assuming it was about the damn show.

I know some people can get mixed up but how damn clear does the title need to be?

11 is a big surprise and 8 to a lesser degree.

I was really surprised with Bronn at 8 but not so much with Jeor since he died like 4 episodes into the season. I'd like to see one of these for the other seasons though and all 3 if they have them, but it'd be difficult. Amazes me that people have the time to compile this, but fair play to them nevertheless.

Also, who's the guy at 39 mins below Cersei's head?

Ahh, I didn't notice it was just season 3. That makes more sense. What's the timing of the guy you are on about?

00:39:49. Below Cersei and next to Sam. Once you say I'll know but I've forgotten.

And yeah, I didn't notice it was just season 3 at first either and I was looking for Ned Stark, wondering where he was.

I think that's Ser Barristan who becomes one of Daenerys' bodyguards in season 3.

Oh yeah it is. It was just because he's below Cersei and he looked bald to me there. Plus I'm surprised he's in that much, but I suppose a lot of it was probably just standing next to Daenerys at times.

Aye, that's it. I'd say he's the highest up with a really low amount of lines.

Absolutely destroyed Game of Thrones. Not watched something that quickly in a while.

Really enjoyed the Daenerys and Arya storylines; great ideas. Guessing there's nothing more that needs to be said about whoever plays Tyrian Lannister either. So good!

Both Ned Stark and Catelyn Stark/Owen Hargreaves' deaths were spoiled for me in unfortunate circumstances. I can't think of two worse scenes to have been ruined.

Daenerys' storyline is actually my favourite of the show, but it seems that a lot of people (from the newbies) are getting bored of her desert strolls every episode. Tyrion is everyone's favourite character in the show, if he dies I'll stop watching the fecker.

Damn it, man, you shoulda been more careful with the the spoilers, you'll never experience the show to it's full effect now. :( Although to be fair I have spoiled a fair few bits for myself.

I know! So fecked off. They both turned up down the side of Youtube videos, but I'd never even searched for it!

Yeah, I think Daenerys' story is my fantastic. Heartwarming, heroic and all sorts. Dunno...maybe watching it week by week is frustrating because it promises so much yet develops so gradually. As for Arya, she needs to never grow up and remain a triumph of humanity. Was a bit concerned that she'd maybe become less natural in her role as she grew up but she's still going strong.

So many good acting performances in this, though. Davros is probably the most likeable person possible, and I particularly enjoyed Cersei with her smirking at Tyrion. What a bitch.

God damn fecking Youtube videos!

Yeah, it's like every character in the show has something different to offer. There's so many in it it's hard to say who my favourites are, besides Tyrion of course. Jaime is one of the ones I've grown to love. Ever since they cut his damn hand off and when he almost got himself mauled by a bear I've really liked him.

The Starkes had better get their sweet revenge. I reckon Jon Snore will avenge their deaths. I can't wait to see what happens when he finds out.

So many good acting performances in this in general, though. Tywin, Jamie, Ned Stark, etc... It's a pretty cliche Sean Bean role but I think that's the best I've seen of him. I particularly enjoyed Cersei with her smirking at Tyrion, too. What a bitch. Loved how evil and smug she looked when Tyrion was about to be told about how he was to be wed to Sansa.

I had both spoiled for me but they're still great moments anyway. I'd heard that Robb died, but didn't know his mother and wife would so when they killed both of them as well I was fairly shocked.

The acting performances are all superb like you say, but I'm not too big on Daenerys. Maybe it's because everyone else who is good at all seems to constantly suffer, while she always seems to end up triumphing. Hopefully she'll end up going mad though like her father and brother. That'd make a good plotline actually: if she was power and gradually was driven mad like many of her family.

True. It does very well to juggle all it does; never really envisaged it as that sort of program before watching.

I think this is Sean Bean's best performance, actually. I've not seen all of them, but out of Sharpe, Goldeneye, Lord of the Rings, etc this was my favourite. Somewhat cliche and typical but whatever...he was perfectly casted.

Really want Arya to get revenge, personally. Dying to see what happens and how it all pans out but I think I'll just stick to the TV series for now. So many things I want to happen (Daenerys becoming Queen, Tyrion toppling Tywin, etc) but it doesn't seem the sort of story that seems absolutely nailed on for a load of happy endings. Dark stuff. The baby killings were surely pushing it even for HBO!
