Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Not the one in question. It was spoiled for me via random osmosis of social media.

I removed the spoiler from the quote since, you know, it might be an actual spoiler. The way you worded it was a dead giveaway.
Other than mentioning what happened in the first season the prediction was just my speculation so wouldn't entirely say it was a spoiler. But if you thought it was a spoiler then fair enough.

I've not read the books, but even if it does happen in the books (or is prophesised or summat) it doesn't necessarily mean it will happen in the show.

what was the prophesy in the show regarding her children? Was last season I think.

You said it like absolute fact to be fair mate.

She would have 3 children and they'd all die. Which makes her pregnancy peculiar, if not ominous. For obvious reasons.

Yeh that was it. Was thinking I was confusing that with that spoiler.

Maybe cause he touched Bran, the army could have come anyway? Hope they explain that part in the next season.
Or something like since winter is arriving, some parts of the seas would get frozen and therefore the Night King and his army wouldn't worry about the wall anymore, winter would give them the possibility of going around it. I know it may seem like nothing but I wished they mentioned something like that as THE main reason to prepare for the great war.
They're leaving us with too many things to guess.

Tbf as the guy in charge of stopping the army of the dead from wiping everyone out, Jon would probably have been dropping the ball a bit if he just assumed they wouldn't think of a way around the wall.
Then the writers should have made him say something to that effect.

I find it very lazy because there's plenty of great Targeryans around. If they want to stick to just show material then they could have mentioned Jon as Brynden (for the bloodraven) or Aemon (ie the old dude Rhaegar respected and loved). Else if they want to bridge the present show to the future shows then Cregan or Bealor would be a great choice. Instead we have 2 children with the same name and surname
I get your gripe, but here, in the real world, someone once thought it was okay to name their son Neville Neville.

My spoiler tag said my prediction about Jaime though. I may have worded it like it was fact after that.

I don't think you understand. The phrophesy that you're referring to has never been in the show.

It's clear you've either got it from the book or you've heard it from someone else who's got it from the books. It's never been in the show.

Please go delete your original post, if you haven't done so already.

I'm going to guess a timeline for season 8.

Episode 6
Robert Baratheon wakes up from his alcohol-induced slumber and tells his small council about the weirdest dream he just had. Jon Arryn rolls his eyes.

Roll credits.

So is a good criticism? I can do that with anything. Oh the red wedding. Let's have a marriage, lol jk we're killing you, oh cat got a knife, jk bruh she dead too lol.

Even if the Bran arm thing is a viable theory, they would have to enter through the one and only functioning entrance that was at Castle Black. An army of 100,000+ (including giants/mammoths/other beasts) filing through a tiny passage that could hold maybe 4 of them side by side would take weeks, if not months.

I would have been happy for that explanation, even a line or two. Just say something like 'we need that wight to convince the Lannisters, to increase our numbers to defend, because they will pass the wall. Not if, but when.... as Winter has arrived."

10 seconds or something and thats where Tyrion comes up with the plan.

You'd be surprised how many don't realise the Dany/Jon connection. Some people just watch for the spectacle of everything and that's cool too.

Are you talking about their relation? If so, havent people still been thinking they are cousins?

What if the NK and the army of the dead are just running from a bigger evil force and all the NK wants to do is save his people by bringing them south of the wall. Poor NK I feel bad for him.

 And since they cant speak, he is not able to explain his situation to the living.

Feck knows if this is real or not as i just plucked it off facebake.

They have been expecting the dead army for months. I appreciate they didn't expect the dragon but I would have thought theyvwould have put up better protection at the wall. Wasnt any flames or water in sight

This is true. Quite a few think they are cousins or siblings.

Yep. Or like one guy at my work, not related at all. Few weeks ago after the first Dany/Jon meeting...

"Those two will end up riding."

"Oh definitely. Will be awkward when he finds out she's his aunt though."

"...What?"

"She's his aunt."

"Feck off. How?"

Cue 5 minutes of me sounding like a right nerd explaining family fecking trees.

There's like 5 guys there

Is that Buchan fella brain dead? My God, ihs hollering the same shite over and over again, shite which could be picked apart had I any interest in conversing with it (Some people have tried yet he completely ignores their responses and/or replies with snark). Last straw was seeing him use the word fanboi, again, unironically.

Shoulda known after his disaster in May/Mc thread.

Dragon is OP

Needs to be nerfed in the next season

I sometimes think Buchan and to a lesser extent dumbo troll or post to get bites.

But but 1 vs. 2 with Drogon being significantly larger than Viserion.
I reckon that might be Jon and Rhaegal vs NK and Viserion. The dragon on the right has a greenish tinge to it. Dany is probably wrecking havoc elsewhere on Drogon.

That was my main gripe. The whole threat of the white walker coming south of the wall makes only sense if only they had another sure way of getting past the wall (or around the wall) but they never mentioned it on the show. Like what would have happpened if Jon didn't go on his stupid expedition. Did the Night King have another solution ?

I just assumed there'd have been assaults on the weakest, decaying parts of the walls until they got through. The dragon speeded the process along but it was the arrival of winter rather than the dragon which was the biggest factor in their movement south, I think.

So, how do you get the most out of an elephant in a battle situation? Are they mostly about carrying heavy shit around or do they charge around and run people over like medieval tanks?
Probably the later? They need someone like Legolas to bring it down on his own.

Some were used for carrying heavy loads but the ones used in battle were there to charge and stomp and confuse the enemy. Unfortunately, they didn't always like the warrior's life and would charge, stomp and confuse their own troops as well.

Where has the rumour come from that the last 6 episodes will all be feature length?

Doesn't exactly look like a fierce warrior. Wasn't he meant to be feckin awesome?
Good fighter, but they've painted him to be more of a warrior-poet. Like David from the Bible, I suppose.

That said, I thought both him and Lyanna would be hotter. I mean, I'm not starting a war over that.

So with regards to Tyrion, I guess its answered by Dinklage in a behind the scenes vid. But ill put it in spoilers just in case:
