Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Not based on the first 5 epsiodes. Zzzzzzzz.

Seeing as you have such a boner for it I must try it again at some point
Actually the first season of Justified (or at least the first 10 episodes or so) was a bit underwhelming. Each episode seemed to be a self-contained case that did little to further the overall arc. However, it absolutely kicks ass after that. I'd recommend giving it another go and sticking with it. If you don't like it after the 2nd season, then it's just not for you.

best moment of the season?

Tywin is such a dominant father figure somebody to be looked up to but a crap dad. Somehow he's going to blame Jammie for losing his hand. Theon torture is awful but that's what you get you traitor. When do you think the Lords started to turn on Robert? I think when he married the other girl until then he was a man who's word could be trusted lost respect there.

Joffrey is sick. Only Tywin and Tyrion even can check him. Cersi is an awful mum she spends her time bullying people while her son is a cnut. I'll never forget how he ran on the battle field hope he mets a gruesome end. Running of Stark's Rikon while need to create an heir ASAP at this rate. I can't stand Daenerys arrogant/jumble at the same time sometimes in the same scene. She will be the most powerful I think.

The only references to time I can remember is Jaime saying that he had been held captive for about a year, and Carleesi 'Nerys Mhysa of Dragons saying something like "Two weeks ago I had no army, a year ago I had no dragons" a couple of episodes ago.

tbh, I wouldn't bother with ages and timescales in the show. They clearly don't, and for good reason, I'd just go by a year passes per season. At least that way it doesn't look odd when all the Stark kids are grown and stuff.

Just finished Season 3 on a marathon session, was quite good but Shae and especially Sansa Starke piss me off so much to the point I feel like quitting the show sometimes  However staring at Cersei and Daenerys keeps me glued to the screen :smirk:

Don't you think these two look alike?

I find that highly offensive to my people

to be fair that's like saying all Chinese look alike.

OK they do but that's not the point.

The entire council going "ohshit" when Joffrey had a go at Tywin was amazing.

Absolutely loved that scene, highlight of the episode. I thought the Youknownothingjonsnow/Ygritte scene was dreadful, badly acted and written, and the last scene was pretty weak as well. Don't understand how they let Davos wander around, didn't anyone expect him to free Gendry? If not an okay episode, I liked the little Arya development, and the Greyrobb image was pretty brutal.

I thought Cersei was thinking something along the lines of: "Welll actuallly...."

"I have to go hooooooome now!"

I like Jon though, glad that he's rid of Ygritte. She did shoot three arrows into him so I'm guessing that puts an end to any rekindling of that romance down the road.

Seriously though, Jon was already crying when he started talking and took a really weird voice, the whole scene had a strange feeling to it. It was good she shot him though, and she made me laugh out loud when she told him for the umpteenth time he knows nothing "I know somethings". Oh God I'd rather not think about that scene too much
