Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

No way she could have seen where it came from or even what it was. If in the next episode Dany & Co. don't mention the scorpion and the need to quickly identify and destroy it that'll be weak.

I anticipate some sort of reunion between Tyrion and Bronn, if that's done properly it'll have been worth keeping him alive

When fired on she was mid attacking run, maybe dragons can stop on a dime and turn, maybe they can't. In any case she finished that attack run, flew around and came in for a second while Bron reloaded. Not like she just sat there watching him reload, filing her nails or humming a happy tune. That is how I saw it anyways.

Yup. Something whizzed past her through a massive cloud of smoke. When the dragon actually got hit the machine was immediately demolished

Shouldn't it be Dragonglass on Dany's side? Where does the ice come from?

These coincidences are only noticed by nerds with nothing better to be doing than re-watching episodes six times and then convincing themselves they're examples of 'foreshadowing' or other such nonsense.

I get that there are examples of foreshadowing in the show but some people scan every scene for possible hints and let their minds run wild.

Ridiculous.

Its amazing how Snow is on the fire side and Dany is on the ice side (courtesy of the Buzzfeed article).

Amazing

It's just a coincidence man, come on.

Well it wasnt their entire Lannister army because they will have a few 1000 men at KL. Then they have the Greyjoy fleet. Then there is talk of Cersei buying herself a new army through the Iron Bank and now with the gold in her possession, that is looking more and more likely.

It's hard to see how the Iron Bank is gonna ship an army into Westeros when there are 3 dragons on the continent who aren't much up for that. But yeah, I'm sure there'll be a twist, I highly doubt that plotline ends with the entire fleet getting burned to a cinder before it reaches the shores.

Although even that'd make good viewing nonetheless.

Why was Sansa pissed off that Arya was a badass?

Was Littlefinger on Arya's list? If not, why was she giving him the stinkeye?

Why has Bran become Data from Star Trek TNG?

Don't think he was ever on her list, but she witnessed him plotting with Tywin when she was Tywin's cup-bearer at Harrenhall.

I specualted

after seeing Arya's and Bran's new 'ways' he is going to make a power play with Sansa when Jon inevitably bends the knee to Dany. She will become Queen of the North as the eldest remaining real Stark (Bran refuses his identity now)

She always wanted to be Queen and was more selfish and egocentric than the other Starks.

That's true.

Why do these people never talk to each other. "Sansa, what's that prick doing here" or from last season "Jon, wait a day,I've got Littlefinger's army on the way".

But the answer is obvious. Some trusted troops escorted the gold into the city. /speculation ended.
That wasn't even what the string of posts was on about. We were discussing if all the Lannister soldiers were killed/captured.
I said that someone had escorted the gold to the capital.
@RedSky said that Jaime refered to them as his army which would suggest a large portion were at the battle.
I replied true it could have been the Tarly men that took the gold into the capital.
So your some trusted men does not answer the question were all the Lannister men killed/captured during the battle.

It's probably best not to think about that.

Well the dragons can't be every where at once. so not impossible for a fleet to sail over. But it could be the fleet gets wrecked by dragons. Maybe euron will pick them up he seems decent at sneaking his fleet around.

Not impossible for sure, but there needs to be a viable route in. They can't just rock up upon receiving their debt repayment. The dragons need to be otherwise engaged or some underhand shenanigans need to allow them safe passage.

This is GoT we're talking about of course so underhand shenanigans is almost guaranteed

InfiniteBoredom has confirmed he's read the leaks in the book thread and has already alluded to something that will happen in there. Safer to ban him from here, if he isn't already.

And he's type to "predict" something to make himself look clever.

Yeah he's been threadbanned from both the threads.

My father in law is the key grip on it and did that shoot. It took 5 weeks.

He said it's one of his proudest career accomplishments.

You know the exact place?

That was... I mean... with the... and... wow

I'll ask him. Before anyone asks I know absolutely feck all from now on as he's on a ridiculous confidentially clause. Went out to Belfast to see a lot of filming though.

Cheers!

No spoilers that I know of, just production talk. That battle scene was up there with any in the series, which automatically places it amongst the best ever on film. Might be my favorite, though Blackwater will be forever hard to topple.

Anyone else think of that run Bronn did having shades of the no-cut McConaughey shot from True Detective...?

Nothing compares to battle of the bastards. fecking hell that was unbelievable TV.

I said to my girlfriend during this battle that I hope Jamie and Bronn don't die because their scenes with Tyrion and Daenyrs would be awesome.

I think it was a bit of a reminder of their sibling rivalry. Just as Sansa was gaining her foothold, growing into a mean bitch and gaining respect... along comes the bad ass little sister who always overshadowed her with a whole new level of skills.

 You mean the one LF clearly explained the significance of while he gave it to Bran?

Remember after Bran was thrown out the tower window by Jamie? Then that guy showed up to try and kill Bran. The dagger was the one the guy used. LF then identified it as having last belonged to Tyrion or at least that is LF version of who owned the dagger (which was shown in the "previously on" scenes at the episodes beginning).
The thing is, it's even more complicated. Considering that Lysa Tully, Cat's sister, sent a message to Winterfell saying that the Lannisters killed her husband (while actually they didn't and she did) and it was probably in her (well, LF's, since he controlled all she did) interest to assassinate Bran with ex-Tyrion's dagger... (which really doesn't make sense, why the feck would anyone, however rich, give some assassin a Valeryan steel dagger); which was, as we know, actually owned by LF and not Tyrion anymore.

So he gives the dagger to Bran, who quite possibly knows the whole situation, including LF's involvement (alleged) in the assassination attempt.

Pretty much the same look Arya gave Sansa when Septa Mordane was judging her needlework back in Season 1
