Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Very good episode. The ending was epic but the fight should've lasted a bit longer IMO. Also, I'm disappointed he died, would've liked to see him attack Tywin.

Daneyres is acting like a ruler. I thought she would pardon him, but the last few episodes have shown her ruthless side.

One thing that's slightly confused me, I thought it was common knowledge that Ser Jorah was spying on Daneyres?

Arya's reaction to the news her aunt died was great

I'm still sad about Oberyn, but something seems off and I can't quite put my finger on it

Iirc it's only the people that attended the small council meetings that'd know Ser Jorah was spying.

jesus fcking christ

I would've liked to seen it go back and forth a bit more. Oberyn pretty much was in control until the end. Considering the build up, I thought we'd see a bit more where both would almost get the kill before eventually one did. Although, this probably added more to the shock value of the ending.

All my plans go like this it all seems to be working just fine and then my head explodes into a million pieces. Also carry ointment for heavens sake.

Im saying nothin.... but you should look into the making of the episode on youtube and see how much work Pedro had to put in for that scene.

Common knowledge for the audience, not Danaeyres and Barristan and Lovely Tits

Imagine, imagine, watching Game of Thrones and wanting Tyrion to die. That's the worst opinion i've ever seen.

The world of Game of Thrones is so shit (i.e bad things happen)... it's actually becoming a bit predictable, which is odd.

Still, serves me right for liking a character... Oberain had quickly become a season highlight I would say.

Anyway, thought it was a weaker episode bar the climax and Sansa... did set up next week pretty nicely though!

FFS people.

All speculation about future events must be in spoiler tags. You know. Stuff that hasn't happened yet. No matter what. EVER
No book talk, no pretend book talk, nothing written, NOTHING YOU DIDN"T SEE IN THE FECKING EPISODE.

How hard is that?

This programme never fails to shock me, I love it. Tonight's episode was well worth the extra wait, brilliant. Really hope they don't kill Tyrion off but not gonna hold my breath unfortunately. Just watching Thronecast now, good way to recap it all.

I'm starting to wonder whether this show places shock value ahead of actually telling a good story with interesting characters... but I'll keep reserving judgement.

I'm disappointed that Oberyn died and I have seen a lot of people saying the show isn't going to be good if they kill Tyrion/other good characters off, I guess my only hope is that just as Oberyn came along a few weeks ago and everyone loved him, next season might see some great new characters too. Hopefully ones that will stick around a little longer

I'm just done watching last week's episode and that Oberyn and Tyrion exchange in his cell was sad. The part where he said Cersei pinched Tyrion's privates when he was just a baby. What a hateful horrible person she is.

I still can't believe it. If anything, I thought the shock that was coming was Tywin's death. For some reason I thought the Mountain would use his last breath to utter Tywin's name and Oberyn was going to throw his spear right through Tywin. I was waiting, expecting it to be a monumental moment, a shocking moment, a deserved and yet bittersweet moment....the pop.

I think Tyrion is going to survive because

his death would be beheading. I think George RR Martin is sadistic enough to kill Tyrion, but I think he's too sadistic to have two major, likeable characters killed off in the same way. It's the thought of Ned Stark's head rolling around that makes believe Tyrion will survive.

Next week is episode 9

Can't wait to see what they have planned...

Tyrion has been a broken man since Tywin's return. Even if he survives I don't know how they'll progress his story back to being an influential character.

Perhaps this is the natural time to end his character. But I have a feeling he will survive.

Just seen the picture ''All men must die'' and the three eyed crow is on it, whats the story with the crow? From what I remember throughout the 4 seasons is the stark kid keeps having visions of it and he has to find it at a tree in the north it seems, have I missed something or have they just not explained it yet?

RIP Obertan :(

I'm surprised Khaleesi's #1 fan was a bit disloyal too.

F*cking Cersei, the smug bitch, a small part of me was hoping that Obertan would lob his spear straight into her eye.

F*ck that crow. Worst part of GoT has been those f*cking crow dreams. Hope it gets eaten by a f*cking eagle.
Can someone tell me:

Has Ser Jorah always been spying? I thought he started of as a spy but stopped midway?
He converted to her side. He saved her life and the Small Council later said he was on her side now.

How are you surprised at that, we knew that all along. Take a hike you buffoon.
