Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

I am not sure who would be next in power, but it would probably a safer bet to guide the current kid in charge who is harmless and controllable. Baelish described him as a feeble kid who could grow to be strong and powerful.

Btw did anybody else think that Sansa dyed her hair black? or was it just the shadowing in the castle.

Yeah the Sansa darkening was intentional I think, hints to the path she's about to take. She's lied to protect Baelish and started to manipulate him... she's not that innocent little strawberry blonde anymore.

Yes Oberyn was his brother. Whether the other guy is a better fighter is doubtful, but Oberyn's brother is the King.
I don't think the brother will be as good a fighter but may command a powerful army being the king and all.

He is also the father of the boy Cersi's daughter was sent to marry to join their houses.

Whether that will turn out to be a bad Lannisters move remains to be seen. Clegane has now killed his brother, sister, niece and nephew at the orders of Tywin and now they have Tywins granddaughter in their keep.

If you remember cersei and tywin both commented about his brother and their displeasure that Oberyn came to joffrey's wedding in his brothers place.

Yes, I meant 'more powerful' as in a better fighter.

Oberyn was not killed at the order of Tyrion, he volunteered to participate in a fight to the death and lost.

As for Elia and her children, what everyone knows is The Mountain killed them, and while it is common knowledge that The Mountain is Tywin's dog, there is no proof, I think that is why Oberyn wanted The Mountain to confess and take Tywin's name.

Afaik as of now the Martells don't have any proof to take an action against Tywin.

Although Oberyn died ''legally'' so to speak since he knew the risks, does anyone (who hasn't read the books) think his family might be even more pissed at the Lanisters? first his sister and children then crushing their brothers head.

I hope so.

Feck needing proof, The Lannisters have wiped out 4 of Dorne's main family now. Dorne need to start a war.

I Heard G.R.R Martin hasn't finished the books yet, we could give him a hand.

Heard a brilliant name for Oberyn today, someone referred to him as the ''Mexican Liam Nelson''

Had people I know saying they couldn't sleep last night because they watched this.

I must admit the lack of Nathalie gifs are just as shocking as Oberyn's death

If you let my sister go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, I will rape you and I will kill you

Btw, the story of the white walkers has stalled just like Luke Shaw's deal. What's up with that? This season has been poorly managed by the producers of the show.
Apparently they split the third book into two seasons which I think might have been a mistake. Cunningly though they've thrown in a few strong endings to some episodes to keep people from really questioning the tedious ponderous crap going on in between.

Well it was twice the size of books 1 and 2, and the publisher split it into two separate books, they just did the same here.

The third book has two parts though - I assumed season 3 was part one and we're now in part two of book 3? No idea though

If the last few seasons maintain the standard of this and the previous three, this show really will down as something truly special. I don't think we fully appreciate how rare a show of this scale is. The amount of stories, different locations and characters is insane.

I feel literally sick. I have exams in two days and I really can't bring myself to revise. Not as bad as the red wedding but I think I might have to not invest myself so much or I might lose the will to watch it. If Tyrion dies next week I think I might be done with the show. I just can't have a show make me feel like this all the time.

Everyone who's saying they're done with it are lying to themselves. You wouldn't stop watching if all the good guys died in one episode.

Or Liam Neeson possibly? :smirk:

Someone on here said it earlier today/yesterday.

Think the guy got third place in some "World's strongest man" competition just before filming started. He might not be the best actor in the world but in terms of physique he is really as good as they could reasonably get for the role.
He finished 2nd. He finished 3rd in 2013 and 2012. Bound to win it next year the way he's training. He's much younger than his main competitors. He's been running away with the Strongest Man in Iceland whenever he's competed and that's usually a tight competition.

It's just a fantasy character in a fantasy show, don't let it affect you so much ffs.
