Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Shell shocked. It became obvious as Tyrion was watching on anxiously waiting for him to finish him off that it wouldn't happen. Horrible death.

I just hope they manage to somehow get Tyrion the feck out of there now :(

So:
  • Nathalie Emmanuel
  • Arya's laughter was a great scene for me. Just the normal hysterical (oxymoron?) reaction of a typical show-viewer to the G. Martin's sick (but quite enjoyable) fantasy
  • Still don't like Sansa much but her change is interesting - and I think that they would struggle to communicate with Arya now, seeing how they changed since their separation
  • The death of Oberyn was brutal - the biggest shock since he Ned's death - mostly because I was waiting for this fight for so long (thanks 'Merica) and subconsciously convinced myself that everything will be ok with the midget

And the people were complaining about the lack of action in series

:wenger:

So baelish seems to have taken the reigns at the vale, even the old couple seem to be happy following his advice, but so far I've not seen Baelish as someone who would start a war and lead an army even if he has a really big one. He seems like the guy who stays out of trouble and keeps himself in the safe, so I am really confused about what he's planning.. what was the motive behind killing Lysa. Also, I fear a bit for Sansa now, Baelish is the only one she can trust at the moment, which is a very dangerous thing as his father found out. I don't see her out-witting him or something so I fear when the time comes Baelish would get rid of her. One reason that I can see is Baelish banking on Tyrion being killed, and then marrying Sansa (his wife died as well so I presume he is free to do that) and ending up being the warden of the north. Is this pointing towards a battle between The Vale and Boltons, specially as they spent time showing us that now anyone who thinks of taking up the north has to battle them? Possibly, but tough to say.

Also looks like Arya again came really close to meeting her family member but won't. That scene ended abruptly, even if Lysa is dead I don't see any sense in them taking a U turn after coming this far. Where else is there for them to go?

I think you've completely misread the Sansa-Baelish relationship. She no longer has to trust him, she can see how much he lusts after her and is finally recognising that as a woman she can use that to manipulate him and be in control. She knows that he is a very clever man and she can use his weakness to ensure that he will protect her.

Agree with this. She actually said that she knows what he wants. I can see her getting married to Robyn and keeping him bitch slapped.

World first castration love story? Have to say I'm confused about where it's going.

Well they've already suggested that he might still have either the pillar or the stones left. Not sure what they will do if it's just the stones mind you.

Smudge them together a bit I guess.

How do you raise the pillar without the stones? Will they call in Maester Richard with the ancient viagra?

Last minute of that episode what the absolute feck? disturbing to say the least.. kinda annoyed though, the 'Viper' was a cool character!

Well if it happened pre-puberty as they're suggesting then if they had chopped his nuts off his voice would never have broken and he would never have gone through puberty. If we're going to get technical and shiz.

So I watched it two hours before the most difficult exam of the year.

Priorities
I don't know how you took that test. That scene is still bothering me. Jesus Christ his head just got smashed in. Very disturbing.

It was absolutely horrible wasn't it. I felt the same sickness as after the red wedding. Genuinely felt effected when the credits rolled. You so wanted him to run a blade through the massive bastard.

Who did he say told him to kill his family? What name did he give? I haven't watched it back yet but I think it was someone Martell? His father?

I don't think he said any name. He just said "I was the one who raped your sister and smashed her head in like this". Or something along those lines. Also the red wedding didn't have this effect on me. I mean yes it was shocking but I was okay 5 mins later. I was like oh Robb is dead.

Aye, Talisa's death was horrible as well.

For your question, are you asking who told The Mountain to kill Elia and her children? It was Tywin Lannister, that's what Oberyn told Tyrion in the first episode of the season.

Do some checking of the history of castrated slaves. Seems some things do work

Well shit, now I feel bad because I have to admit I've done no checking into the sexual habits of castrated slaves.

I've done some checking into sexual oddities but I've never come across the sexual habits of the castrated. Though I am within walking distance of the Kinsey Institute.

Ah I was in a bit of shock so can't really remember what happened. I thought he was trying to hear the name of who told him to kill them so he could declare it as Tywin and then when he was smashing his he's in he said "xxxxx Martell" but I think that's obviously me remembering it wrong.

I was hoping that when he finished the mountain off he was going to javelin that sword spear of his through Tywin's chest.

That was the most brutal death scene so far. I wince every time I remember the eye poking screams. Whats even worse is that half my uni were watching the episode all over the library today, some idiots tried to spoil the season end for me. Another went the extra mile and wrote some spoilers in the feckin bathroom stalls!! Thank god I was warned before hand.

He just said the sister's name and that he smashed her head in.

*Insert Anchorman-escalation meme*.

I expected something dramatic to happen, and still I was totally shocked. I haven't a clue what's going to happen to Tyrion now!

That would have been acceptable and shocking enough for me. Would've meant the end of Oberyn anyway, but a less disturbing and more satisfying way to go for both him and the viewers. I still haven't shaken it off. Such a brutal death.
