Gaa 2011

Hats off to Derry in football & Dubs in hurling!

The quality & intensity of Derry really surprised me. As previously posted, they will be around well into August!

Dubs were excellent, but Galway did not turn up.
However, My €20 on Joe Canning to scr 1st goal @5/1, cushioned that blow!

Ta very much STG, have to confess, I don't get into the gaelic properly 'til June, will take me a few weeks to play catch up!

Too many untouchable twats got free reign to keep winding him up in other parts of the forum, and he unfortunately wasn't sufficiently internet-savvy to ignore them as he should have. Genuine man so he is.

Anyways, heard an interesting story about Derry from a fella I'd be inclined to believe, will pm yis when I'm at a computer

There's plenty on here thats for sure - not this thread tho!

Sure, in the football & general forums you can see the cliques just by readin the posts - the language is the same & you get the impression its the same folk under 10 usernames.

CL got shafted because he has an opinion that some folk dont like & if some member of the clique is losing the battle then said clique jump in to support him. Its feckin tacky & embarrassing as feck. Also it seems its ok to be a Rangers fan but not ok to be a Celtic fan & havin a Nationalist opinion or point of view is regarded as bigoted!

@ Moses, Yeah I think it's still there in the square, but I've never been in. I tend to buy furniture from catalogues etc. The house is too modern for antiques. Wouldn't look right at all.

@ Everyone else. I agree with you completely about the other forums. I don't mind it in the Generals but it's so annoying in the football forum. I don't mind a good argument with anyone and have gone to far at times too, but what really gets on my wick is someone or three going into a thread that people are debating something with the 'shit thread' remarks or the stupid pictures. IMO this should be an infraction offence. If a thread is so shit then people simply won't post in it and it'll disappear. No need for the Internet police ganging up.

So lads where do we see the Sam going this year.

Personally Ithink the semi finals will be made up of Dublin Kerry Cork & Kildare.

At the moment I cant see past Cork to win it again but being a Dub I have me fingers crossed that we can finally stop thrwoing away matches in the final 15 mins. Following Dublin is probably like being an arsenal fan. We have a good team but we cant get it right when it comes to the crunch. Its so feckin frustrating. But maybe ....to quote any scouser " this is our year" ......

If Dublin arent going to be good enough Id like to see someone other than Cork or kerry winning. Maybe Kildare.

Should be a cracker next week in croker. Anyone else going?

I honestly think that Derry could make a semi-final place after last weeks performance. Either through Ulster or the back door.

Hope I'm wrong though!!! ;)

As I said already - how good is Down to get beaten by Armagh & how good is Derry to beat Armagh?

This hype building gets a bit much tbh. Armagh are shite end of the story!

€1 Accu with Paddy Power throwing me up winnings of €412.14

Be all right for calling a few football matches. There's always 1 that lets you down though!

Also if you were to change the Mayo Galway game to a draw then you'd get €1876.17 for your euro.

calling the draws is hardest id say.

Looking forward to a good weekend of action. Dubs v Kildare should be a cracker!

Thats sweet man. I could do with a few chilling & a bittuva wager might be my best bet to achieve that.

Reckon i'm gonna do your exact bet man & slightly change on or two on another bet - Louth & Galway possibly. €5 each bet would get me a nice sum

No joke, I actually saw that wrote like that on a wall in Strabane years ago. Illiterate little RA heads, couldn't even spell IRA!

I think everyone has man.. its funny how we seem surprised tho - given that all of them are inbred armchair terrorists!

This here was is the hip new CIRA recruitment graffiti from Coalisland, to appeal to the kids that are down with it - Syndrome that is..

The future of Republicanism is in good hands

Some of these illiterate idiots have been around for years. I always thought that the loyalist graffiti artists were better spellers. Makes up for all their other inadequacies!

Is it safe for you to e posting in this thread BTW. If your mates find out they might well lynch you! Nexxt thing you'll be up in Clones shouting 'Tyrone Abu'!!

I must be getting old, what does that even say?

I'm with you PJ. Can't read that shit at all. Might be that the pic is too big, but I can't make out a single letter.

Nice drawing of Chucky though!

I actually fancy a couple of high profile draw games this weekend, take maybe 2 from ;

Mayo v Galway
Dublin v Kildare
Tyrone v Donegal
Louth v Meath
Cavan v Longford.

Put a tenner on each of these games to end in a draw, average odds 15/2, surely at least one will come up, gauranteeing a profit. I would'nt be surprised if 2 or 3 of these ended in draws!

Ps; My own county's game v Offaly, is a very dodgy one, far from as one sided as some may think.:nervous: We are missing 3 from the team that lost to Tyrone, added to the fact that a lot of our boy's are relative championship rookies!...... another possible draw!

I'm heading to the Galway v Mayo match tomorrow, always a cracker of a game with hardly more than a point ever separating them at the final whistle. With a good mixture of U21's thats currently All Ireland Champions & the likes of Joyce, Meehan etc i'm fancying Galway to have the edge. Galway by 2pts.

Terrible decision by the ref.

the ref made a few rubbish decisions there yesterday.

Dublin were deserved winners though, they were ahead for the whole game.
Kildare will be in the last 8 of the championship but yesterday wasnt their day.
