Can’t wrap my head around a club asking a player to take a pay cut for no good reason other than they were fiscally irresponsible.
He is going to sign on page 724
You've done a swab test?POSITIVE day today.
Ok now it's easy to see why this is taking long. Barca are trying to screw this guy out of a hell of a lot of money that he is owed
was that ever in doubt? MUFC agreed a fee, they were working on add-ons. The entire circus is on the spanish side with Laporta leading the charge trying to make this the most trolling saga in years. So it's Barcelona to blamed.
Don't Barca have anyone they can sell to pay for the deferred wages?
Alternatively we could loan them the money and have them pay it back at high interest

So we break Laporte's knee-capsI wouldn’t trust them at all to pay that back. Financially they are one of the worst run clubs in the world.
Surely this totally fecks them in future dealings with players? Absolutely horrible way to do business.

What a scummy club. Why sign these players in the first place if they can’t afford to pay them? I would be embarrassed if I was a Barca fan. Expecting players to keep their loyalty whilst at the same time screwing them out of their wages.
I bet they consider playing for Barca to be some kind of divine privilege, and players should consider playing for free where possible.Because mes que un club. Obviously.
Yeah I can see why you want to join them as team, but when it comes down to actually doing contracts, they will have a tough time. You'd hope so but for some reason players are desperate to join them.
Raphinia wants Barca
Bernado wants Barca
Lewandowski wants Barca
Kounde wants Barca
De jong wants to stay
I actually dont get it.

Lifestyle. Barcelona as a city is fantastic. And of course the club has huge heritage. You'd hope so but for some reason players are desperate to join them.

I am amazed they still attract players tbh.Surely this totally fecks them in future dealings with players? Absolutely horrible way to do business.
Surely you don't want to risk millions in wages despite the lifestyle or the city.Lifestyle. Barcelona as a city is fantastic. And of course the club has huge heritage.
However if they were being advised by agents who cared for them and not just the huge amounts of money the club have paid out in recent times, then they might not be quite as keen. The club itself seems to treat its players horribly!
I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life. What would you do if you were stuck in one place, and every day was exactly the same, and nothing that you did mattered?

Amsterdam looks a lot different to how I remember it in that picture.
Granted last time I was there I was after 3 yippers and enough beer to sink a small boat to be fair.
Not buying the contract stuff, it doesn't affect the deal, De Jong can just leave and take them to court for breach of contract and get the money he is owed at some point.
We want to keep you Frenkie, but if we don't get the players we really want then it will be all your fault. Not buying the contract stuff, it doesn't affect the deal, De Jong can just leave and take them to court for breach of contract and get the money he is owed at some point.
That would take time, more money and unnecessary stress. Unlikely as it would seem but there would also be the danger that in waiting the club becomes bankrupt and he is left way down the list of creditors. Not buying the contract stuff, it doesn't affect the deal, De Jong can just leave and take them to court for breach of contract and get the money he is owed at some point.
To do what? Get paid? There is the chance that he respects the players and fans too much to do unless its a last resort
He wouldn't have to deal with anything, his agent would take care of it all along with his legal team. He'd never have to step foot in court and it would all be resolved in a couple of years. In the mean time he'd have earned a fat wage at United to go with the money he's owed. That would take time, more money and unnecessary stress. Barca are to blame but we also could have chosen not to focus our most critical summer transfer on a player who plays for them. Negotiating with them was always going to be difficult and we have made it quite clear we don't have any other targets so they feel confident enough to mess us about. If we were progressing negotiations with alternatives they might soon change their stanceSo it's Barcelona to blamed.
