So has anything new actually happened yet?

By taking the first letter of each word in the phrase "Donny's Wedding", we can make a prediction on who our final transfer will be.
So, if we take D and then W...
Oh, no.
DW... it's Danny Welbeck.
They were all decoys...

Antony is a smoke screen for Frenkie. Everyone is looking for Antony and his plane while John Murtough snuck into the wedding party dressed up as one of them "helpers" waiting for Frenkie to sign the guest book (it's actually a contract).

Good idea. We could snare a few Dutch players that way. Is de Ligt going?!
Hope the NT manager isn’t going however, that could be really awkward. And he would probably move the reception to Wings.
They asked was he going actually, and he said “YES! We GO for it!”

Wedding was called off after Donny walked in on FDJ with the bride. Now Mikky is out of the picture and FDJ is convinced to come to United but you need to get rid of Donny first

This is basic probability here, dude.

One is a certainty, one is an uncertainty.

Nevertheless, it's inane. We will agree to disagree. Hope you have a nice evening/day and we get De Jong!
Ah yes, if I may contribute to this, just as you were all hoping it was over, I see that the first sentence says that Chelsea definitely IS the most likely destination whereas the second sentence says that Chelsea MAY be the most probable destination.

So the second sentence does leave open the possibility that another club is his most probable destination.

In both sentences, however, we are only talking about likelihood or probability (these being essentially the same thing) and therefore in both sentences there is an allowance that he could go to another club, only that would be less likely or less probable.

In conclusion, whilst there may be a slight difference between them on a forensic level, the essence of the two communications is not significantly different.

Unfortunately he got his contracts mixed up and Frenkie just signed a salary reduction with Barcelona :(

FDJ - How do you like your wedding gift, Donny?
DVB - What gift?
FDJ (tears off tuxedo to reveal Man United's 3rd kit underneath) - Me! As your team mate!
DVB - So you want to steal my job on my wedding day?

At risk of adding to this debate, I humbly disagree. The difference between "is" and "may be" is one of certainty and doubt, and could not possibly be bigger. (can we take this to 2,000 pages?)

Donny got a run out for the last 2 mins

Just let this thread die in peace. We don't have the money for him.

I don't fully agree, it's really strange that Frenkie would be in London now though.

Either he sees Casemiro, Antony, Eriksen, Martinez, Malacia sign and sees the qualities of Bruno, Rashford, Sancho already and sees its going to do well this season, or he likes Chelsea... or he's conveniently in London with Depay for no reason.

United make around $600-700m revenue per year, even with wages, and signings they can more than afford a big window. (obviously throwing in signings and everything else the gross profit will be much less) but United are in a position to go hard in a window if needed.

I think they know they're playing catch up and if FDJ was available, even paying for Depay or whatever, I think United would do a deal like paying half this season, half next season or in installments after 20 appearances to make it payable in Q1 next year the remainder of the fee.

If FDJ signaled right now he was available they'll find a way IMO.
