there's no way, given the shit storm Frenkie has been put under by Barca, that he can't look at the performance from yesterday along iwth the signing of Casemiro and not think coming to United would be a great long term option. FFS you give us CL for one bloody season, you come here and win the Europe league and finish top 4 in the EPL so you have CL football next year.

he's going to be used as a scapegoat for not being able to register Kounde and any sort of financial woes Barca suffers in regards to FFP investigations

I'd love to see it too, and i agree that it's not likely, but it does seem the Glazers have totally crapped the bed and are pumping money in now. Are they worried about losing sponsers? It would hit their pockets hard?

in that team of players....he'd thrive b/c simply he could just use his pace and movement off the ball without having to worry about any sort of decision making

it would just be make channel runs in behind and go directly to goal
 
ETH seems to think that FDJ is the priority. Get him the man. We should pay the deferred wages and get this done instead of wasting money on Antony.

then again i guess you could argue the same about Rashford

still with either guy up top....that looks like such a commanding team

I don't see it, I don't think has either the physicality or the intelligence and the movement to play there, it takes a lot more than pace to make it up there.

We should just hope he gets back to his best as a winger.

The previously agreed Frenkie deal was circa 63 million sterling. If that deal is doable it will be done. Frenkie’s insta activity means there is hope but if it fails it will not be because we wouldn’t fund it.

Dalot i thought did well last night against a quality attacking player in Diaz. Could we use an upgrade? for sure but focus should be on a CM(Frenkie) and a FWD(Antony) in trying to get these transfers across the line
 
If this one happens along with Antony on deadline day…I will write a letter of apology to murtogh and Arnold. In fact, I’d start a gofundme for their statue to be built outside the stadium.

Despite being nowhere near the same kind of players, I wonder if Casemiro was the alternative for De Jong or if ten Hag always wanted a ball winning specialist partnered with a playmaker like De Jong?

Time will tell, but if we don't get De Jong, then does ten Hag go for another ball playing midfielder or does he settle with Eriksen deep?
