The fact that we have brought in Casemiro and Eriksen, and are pushing for De Jong, is very telling of the state of our midfield.

A proper coach has come in, and decided to completely overhaul it. Showing no signs of wanting to use any of Fred and McTominay in his prefered line-up.

Genuinely think he likes both Fred and McTominay but is first coach who realises that good Honest professionals fill a squad not start every feckin game
 
If I were Klopp I would try to convince the board and owners to get in a late bid for him. He would fit in nicely and I believe that he would choose them over us and Chelsea if he had to.

How would that suit barca? Barca needs to free up like €100m in Masa Salarial now if we still have a chance to sign Silva. I can't imagine Laporta wants to sell Frenkie just for the sake of getting rid of his wages. We'd lack quality in our midfield without a replacement, especially if you saw Gavi's performance the first two games.

Agree. Dont think a loan now suits Barca. I'm my opinion you only sell FDJ if you 100% know Bernardo is coming. A midfield 3 of Busquets, Pedri & Silva in a 4-3-3 set up would definitely work, so I can see why Xavi wants that. You don't get the best from FDJ playing 4-3-3 formation abd Barca won't change just for him.

Could happen but unlikely to know Umtiti, Aubamayeng & Depay on the way out, so player registration less of an issue.

This is a fair and reasonable post but as many people have said already, he cannot say he wants to leave whilst still playing hardball to get the best pay off from Barca. He can’t say he’d love to come here and join up with ETH even if it’s true, which it might be for all we know.
 
Apparently barca also wants Juan foyth from Villarreal and they still haven't registered kounde yet, wonder how that works.

He may have liked it as it signalled an end to our search for a midfielder…allowing Barca no option but to keep him. He then realised it was being interpreted differently and deleted it.
 
He's not going to Bayern. That has been ruled out pretty much since day one.

Or he unliked it because talks are nearly done but still being finalised and he realised he'd jumped the gun? Occams Razor and all that.

I would assume that someone has told him to unlike it.

A footballer has to be incredibly careful on socials, because it has the chance to go viral, I very much doubt it was “accidental” - he knew what he was doing I would think.
 
He’s liked a lot of United posts this summer hasn’t he? Malacia and Ronaldo posts anyway. His agent has probably told him to unlike it because it could undermine his position of not wanting to join that hell hole of a non-CL club unless he gets paid off :lol:
