Five new pages since this morning. Thought there was some movement and got excited. Turns out you're all talking about Barca being broke and moaning about people mentioning Di Maria - probably moreso than folk mentioning Di Maria on the last few pages.

He's not coming. This must be the first muppet season for a lot of people here. Even at our best we went through this shit and ultimately ended up buying last minute players close to deadline day because Fabregas/Vidal/Thiago told us to get fecked.

I think the idea is we’re basically replicating ETH’s midfield of De Jong / Schone as a pair with VdB ahead. I truthfully don’t know much about Schone as a player but maybe some Ajax guys can fill us in - I assume he’s technically better than McFred :wenger:

I just think people are desperate after some good news after this season, and a De Jong signing could clearly provide that.

Have some faith, I'm not into muppetry that much but I think we'll have a great window of opportunity to get him.

We'll see but our chances are great.
 
Man, that's a hell of a list. A player who can't come out of a poor Lazio side is a top 10 midfielder. Feck me, caf is a great place - I have to give that!
 
So he’s come out and said he doesn’t wanna leave. Surely a club as big as United can take the hint and move on to the next player on their list?

Not holding my breathe.

Top ten midfielders was the brief. I put in no wingers or #10s and looked at the avg WhoScored scores for season performances.
 
I think it pretty obvious he doesn’t want to come, reminds me of Di Maria , I think we’d be better off buying a short CB and playing him at RB

Difference between him and Timber is that Ajax don't want/need to sell and have offered him a new deal. Barca by every account are attempting to offload him to get him off the books.

He'll be reunited with his old boss at United if the club coughs up close to what they want.

It's inevitable that he will along with anyone else we sign this season. Same goes for ten Hag.
 
 
 
FDJ just made it quite embarrassing for Barca if they do end up moving him out.

To be fair, nobody is off limits there. If the club can sell Messi for financial reasons, then anyone can be sold if it makes fiscal sense.

If reports of deadline to complete this deal is true then most likely we will hear final news this week.
