Or more like the girl always wanted be in a relationship with this handsome other guy and he also wanted her so they got together but just after that, it turned out the guy was a drunk and a gambler and as a result lost everything and is broke now. The girl is high maintenance so the drunkard broken bloke can’t afford her and is forced to push her away. The girl still wants to be together and is hoping he sorts out himself and everything would be fine again. But the drunkard fool is seriously fecked, is in neck deep debt due to his gambling and has to think about his finances first and foremost to pay off some of that debt and is forced to let her go.

There enters the second handsome into the scene who is also a moron but rich not as rich as before but still rich. He also likes the girl a lot and is trying on her but the girl isn’t interested. Then enters the girls father (ten hag) into the picture who is now the secretary of the handsome moron to handle his mess and is telling the girl to be with this guy.The girl is still saying NO to the handsome moron, which forces him to think twice whether to go after this girl or not as he has been burned before in a relationship with a girl named DIMARIA. But as the girl’s father is a loyal man and moron’s well wisher, he keeps insisting that she is the right girl for him and he is the right guy for her. The stars are aligning and time will tell soon whether they get together or not.

Meanwhile the handsome moron’s family and friends and neighbours and their dogs continue debating amongst themselves and keep bitching behind his back that this girl is another Di Maria and the idiot has learned nothing from the incident when she left him for an ugly sheikh from qatar.

People need to be patient with this deal. By this week we will anyway know if it goes through or not. June hasnt even started yet

Yea the transfer window has even began officially yet either and you've got international the next two weeks.

Really isn't the time for any definitive declarations yet...
 
United preseason commence on July 4 am sure we'll have landed our primary targets by then as we usually do, Frenkie or not.

That's the point isn't it - every club wants to sign those players who cost under £10 million and become £50 million plus players. The fact is there's not many of them about. The club needs quality, now. Not players who might become something and might not be better than we have. That's the reality of where we are.

It's obvious given the transfer activity of the club in recent years the scouting could be improved. That's not going to solve the problems evident bow.

I think he'll move if Barca accept the offer and ask him to leave. Patience, fellow muppets.

Selling parts of their future revenue stream for an immediate bailout will just kneecap them. This is the lesser of the two evils for Barca as well.
 
Expect talk of alternative targets to really ramp up from usual suspects if Utd feel this become a lost cause, hasn't happened yet so not throwing any towels in just yet.
 
If only there was some previous situation involving a player we could compare this too....
 
Di Maria didn't get along with LVG, that was the primary reason for him flopping here. You don't need to be a genius to figure out how FDJ is different.

Having said that, we can't afford to feck around this summer. I'd move for someone else. I still think FDJ will be told to feck off when Laporta asks his accountant to explain the situation and PSG or Juve will swoop in.
 
I feel like we need Di Maria thread where only the words Di Maria are allowed so that people can get it out of their system.

This deal won't be anywhere near the kind of money Barcelona want, the days of transfers being north of £60m are over, unless they're over multiple years. In saying that, we should probably drop this transfer anyway, at this point it feel's like we'd need to kidnap him to get him out of Barca.

I was just reading up on this on their reddit and apparently this is a long term decision as in they are in desperate need of money but it will take a while to actually get the deals done.
Interesting that Barca seem to be doing two deals with CVC, one with La Liga and their own. They've completely destroyed their revenue stream in the medium to long term., Its ridiculous.
 
Don’t know if anyone has mentioned it already but is anybody else getting Di Maria vibes at all with this whole saga?
