Gaming Fortnite .

Got to give it to them, after a month of trash updates and fecking with the game, they've smashed it out of the park again.

This is how to do a free game but yet make a shitload of money properly without screwing anyone.

Yeah, the new updates is very nice. However, they still create problems with every other update - now, there's this lag spike that continuously affects the game.

It's crazy how when you just don't enjoy building and refuse to do it (like me), you can come second all day everyday but can never win the fecking thing because you just end up going up against some bloke in a massive fortress.

I'm actually pretty bad at shooting to in fairness.

I'm the same. I will camp my way into the top 5 in maybe 8/10 games with only a grey burst rifle (worst gun in gaming ever), green pump action shotgun and a few bandages to my name.

Then I get destroyed by a John Wick cnut in a 100ft Fort Knox with countless supplies and still think "That's bullshit." when I die.

Suppose we can't really complain. I enjoy the game but it loses a bit of purpose when you land somewhere remote, build up resources, then die 80% of the time when you have your first actual encounter.

When it gets deep into a game I just edge my way into the smaller circles and look for bushes to hide in. I'm such a pussy.

So let me get this straight. You guys are playing a game that you don't enjoy because you can't get your heads around the main aspect, then complain when you die to people that can?

If you bothered to learn the building mechanic or even killed someone at that stage and got a decent end game weapon, then you've be able to take on those idiots in a fortress. That's what the game is about, giving you the tools to fecking do what you want.

Complaining that you have hid the whole game then died to someone doing the same really doesn't make much sense.

Actually no. If you use it properly it shreds.

This is great.

I’ve only played a handful of times but used his “cowardice” technique every single time.

Can you give us a TL:DR on that chief? Because I took one look and decided I couldn't be bothered to read that much about how to hide ;)

@Redlambs ?

You can take enjoyment from the game without getting into the building aspect. Gets frustrating at times but I still enjoy it. It's fun sneaking around the map.

If this was a complaint about PUBG, I'd agree. This game definitely doesn't lose purpose as you describe it. An easy counter to your problem is to land in a populated town and take out as many people as you can. Attempting to win a game when you've no idea how to overcome the building aspect is pointless. I had a friend who started playing recently and I'd have us land on the outskirts of the map and help him practice building. Stairs and three walls - that's it. Of course, you'll have more elaborate building fights but that's a very low percentage of players.

But you still are complaining then saying you can't complain.

What's the actual point in playing a game then hiding the whole way through then dying because you don't like the mechanics of it anyway? If you are going to do that, then why not play PubG or H1Z1 where it's all that much easier to do? I guess I just don't get what you are saying here, I don't understand why you'd actively go against the main mechanics and waste all that time knowing you'll die anyway. Fortnite is a game where you shoot and build to win, if you don't like shooting or building, then why the hell are you even playing it?

I'm not trying to put you off my friend, I guess I just don't understand where you are coming from here.

It’s not about how to play the game. Just a witty observational piece about his experience of getting addicted to it.

Fair enough, in that case I'll give it a read :)

My bro told me that ninja was playing today with deli Ali, trippier and Kane. Kane was probably claiming other people’s kills

This is great.

I’ve only played a handful of times but used his “cowardice” technique every single time.

"You sneak toward it. Clunk. You have died. You have obviously died. There was someone standing there, around the corner, with an entire grenade launcher. Of course you have died. It is 1 AM, man. You have a job and a life. Stop getting tricked into dying by cackling teenagers"

:lol::lol::lol:

" I breathe deep, I move around the fortress I’m in silently, and shoot them in the head four times—pew-pew, pew-pew—and they collapse, and I have won. A guitar chord clangs. Victory Royale. I have finally done it. I know what it is to win."

"I scream so loud and for so long that the neighbors start thumping on the ceiling above me.

The next game, I get brained out by a shotgun and finish #83.

I hate this game. I hate this game. I love this fecking game
."

:lol::lol::lol:

Man, I'm in tears, I swear this guy is me in a parallel universe.

I hate this game, I hate this game. I love this fecking game.:lol:

I recently won a solo game with 9 kills having only had a silver burst, blue pump shotgun, and blue rocket launcher the entire game.

I was stuck twice in the zone and the second time made it out with only 5 hp. Found a suppy drop with a med kit and went from there.

Burst is the most OP weapon in the game for me. Pump too.
Bear in mind, 3 days ago I'd have told you to ditch those two weapons as it would be easier to pickaxe someone to death than to shoot them with these.

Try to get headshots with the burst. That's 3 bullets with added damage to the head. For the pump, try to aim then fire.

I'm not a master builder, hell I'm not even an advanced builder, just build the standard 4 by 4 tower up to 3 stories to not take fall damage when they pop it.

Are you on ps4? I can help if you want.

I play this game too much, I’ve just won my 100th solo game and I’m on 240 wins total.

I like to use two shotguns, fire one shot with the pump and then change to a tac. Changing your controls to builder pro makes building so much faster, it might take a few days to get used to but its worth it.

I have played around 100 solo games and have one win. And I had only one kill that game . I sneaked my way to the top 2 without seeing anyone. I was hiding behind a tree. The other guy had built a huge fort and was firing rockets everywhere. I took out my sniper and a lucky headshot got me the win! I got this victory royale within my first 10 games. Since then, never made it into the top 2. The most kills I have in a game is three. But I'm still obsessed with it.

I think the game definitely needs a respawn/free roam mode that allows people to catch up with the John Wicks of the game. I improved slightly through forcing gun fights and going to tilted, and playing with friends which can turn the tedious parts into a good laugh.

The Battle Royale nature of it just doesn’t lend itself to getting better if you’re in one fun fight every 20 minutes.

Just seen the Infinity War mashup coming tomorrow... this game is absolutely fecking huge.

Thanos’ infinity gauntlet spawns once per game whoever finds/equips it turns into Thanos himself wielding op powers.

No Marvel skins announced so far but RiP people’s wallets if they get added which I assume will do in the near future.

I definitely agree.... I've just started playing today and I've killed 1 person in about 15 games. Kinda losing interest now.

Before you shoot somebody crouch down and aim for about 1 second, this will make your reticle as small as possible and your gun more accurate, obviously it only works if you’re behind somebody and they don’t know you’re there. Make sure you have enough material to be able to build a base fast if you’re getting shot from behind.

This is the opposite if what makes the game great though.

It's like everything, if you want to git gud then you just need to practice. Land in Wailing if you want to practice building, land in Tilted (and now Dusty) if you want to practice fighting.

They’d just need to cap the level or time spent in the game mode, or just a tutorial for people starting, or an offline mode. Something.

Alright, thanks. It's mainly 1on1's I was having a problem with. I rage quite shortly after that which put me on about 1 kill in 20 games. To be fair I was getting lag even on all lowest settings, so I'm downloading it for the PS4 and we'll see if no lag and aim assist helps.

I play on my laptop now but planning to get a PS4 Pro soon. The graphics on my laptop is rubbish which makes it really annoying sometimes.

Console is quite a bit easier tbf. But what laptop do you have? There's probably things you can do to help.

When you say lag, do you mean your pc framerate? If so there are things you may be able to do to help. The PS4 should run between 45-60fps and the game is a bit different on there but is still fun.

That's not the point of the game though, they will never do tutorial/offline modes and there's really no need at all. You learn by doing. Get angry and frustrated just like the rest of us have to!

Yea it was sharp drops in framerate, generally as soon as a firefight started... It is soooo much smoother on PS4. Killed 5 people in my first 3 games.

I haven't played an FPS on my PC in years. I guess it's outdated now.

I have a Dell Inspiron. i5 processor. 8GB RAM. 2GB AMD Graphics card. I have this lag issue sometimes which makes playing the game impossible.

Full credit to the Epic games, they're constantly giving out new updates so that the game doesn't feel old.

Valve should take note.
