Gaming Fortnite .

Cool. Shouldn't be too long, I'll give you a shout when we are on.

I will get my excuses in early, my mouse is fecking up on me now. Had to order a new one for delivery tomorrow, £80 for the pleasure!

No problem. The girlfriend came over, I need like 2 or 3 hours.

Sorry mate, I had to quit out, it's unplayable with my mouse at the moment :(

Are you about tomorrow? When my new one comes in the afternoon, we will definitely play with you even if in a squad. I'll get him to add you when he's on too, just in case I can't play yet.

Sure man, no problem. I'll be on at around 6 pm uk time tomorrow.

@Slevs I'm surprised you haven't made a joke yet about how much better he is than me!

I did. I told him in game you'd need a 100 years to be better. That kid is insane man. Make a fake passport and take him to the world cup or something. Insanely talented.

 He is at that. Little shit.

But in all seriousness it's why you sometimes hear me push him and be a little hard on him, he has a few mental issues and Fortnite and CS:GO (which he crushes too) help him greatly (gaming is all bad dont'cha know!), so I've found focusing him when he plays with me really let's him look at what he's learning then go off when he's not playing with me and be free to play to what he can do. He was always so nervous before, I focused on that more than mechanical skills, now when watching him play the WC qualifiers he had zero nerves and I couldn't be more prouder just sitting with him watching him absolutely crush it. If that makes any sense

Oh and for the record, ask him about the other day where I helped him get to 300 points by coaching him in the games, then carrying him in a duo win where I got all the kills and clutched the end game vs 2 teams...so :p:p:p

Anyone been keeping an eye on the WC qualification process? I've watched some here and there. The guys that got banned for cheating for farming kills have now qualified. Their punishment was a 2 week ban which is hilarious. Lots of controversy.

Yeah I watch it, my boy has played it.

Trash all round tbh, from the points system to the lack of actual defined rules and punishments. I think bizzle (or some other whiney twat) even qualified for solos messing around without even firing a single shot from a gun in all 10 games, just to show how broken the system is.

It's a £30m tourny run by rank amateurs.

Huge event tomorrow. Monster v the Robot, hopefully means big changes for season 10.

Looks like Mixer has thrown moneybags at Ninja. He has left twitch and joined mixer.

Twitch are arseholes with terrible apps anyway, they've been going downhill for a while. About time someone else rivalled them big time other than YT. Also, a lot of their top fortnite streamers have lost the plot with more ads and sub only stuff. It'll be interesting to see if more drop off, only the really big names have kept high viewer counts of late, the mid-tier guys all seem to be dropping.

Though I do expect his sycophant friends like Lupo to follow him soon enough.

To be fair I read Ninja was declining. Had 300k subs in March 2018 and down to 14k now. MS probably paid him a shit boat of money to switch and can’t really blame him. Don’t think it will be a big loss to twitch, but they do need to sort out stuff like you said. Even the incident with the female streamer throwing the cat where as if it was a male streamer he would have been banned.

It's not even about her being a hot female, they are all over the place with their rules.

And don't underestimate Ninja's appeal. I personally think it's time the likes of him and his little group drop off, the same for Tofu and Clock and all the other big time charlie's. However, he is a big enough name to draw people away, and Twitch is clearly going ever more corporate. Mixer will end up no different if it blows up, I mean it's really M$. But if it means twitch actually fix their many issues, then I hope this works out big time.

Tfue will probably grow and gain the Ninja subs that don't follow him to Mixer.

I don't play the game but pretty sure it's just a massive patching/server maintenance before an update.

Absolutely ridiculous the way they’ve done this, there’s only so long you can just ignore everyone and not say wtf is going on.

Maybe a good time for a punt on Ozil?

My best mate works for PlayStation and this has been pre-planned for a long while, it's just a marketing stunt as Fifa, COD etc have been getting a lot of limelight.

Of course it is, I can't believe people think this is actually anything but that

It clearly works too. Fair play to them. If they only put this much thought into the game and it's mechanics, it might one day be fun again.

Then again now they've added bots, if it wasn't already clear the reason they make decisions and the future of the game, surely it is now to people.

So what's new then after this black hole marketing stunt? It's worked because I'm tempted to have a game for the first time in months.

It's a whole new map plus few little things like swimming, fishing etc.

The transition into the first battle is cool too tbf.

I tried it and the first battle ran like utter trash for me. Seems they have plenty of issues with the engine yet again.

On the positive side, I do like how they've scaled back the weapons and I'm a fan of the edit on release addition, I've been after that since the first time I played.

Those bots though, wow. Talk about desperate times and all that. I think the skill based matchmaking in pubs will prove to be a big mistake.

Pathetic from Apple. But to be expected especially with how they blocked gamepass from their store.

Kids have got into this.. I said i'd learn it so I can help them out (I was average on COD for a while). It's pretty addictive, despite it's flaws. Plus, i'm finding it easier than COD used to be! Pretty good fun as I can play with both of the kids at the same time (2 on the PS5 and one on the switch).

Any basic tips, tricks, quick ways to gain xp etc?

(mods, assume this doesn't constitute need for a new thread? Let me know if it does)
