Gaming Fortnite .

Im having trouble killing anyone, even when im ready for them and they have to open a door or knock a wall down 100% of the time they kill me, im sat there aiming and the feckers still kill me in a second.

Can you only do challenges in certain modes, ive got one which is damage opponents with smg, I take it thats a sub machine gun and not a shot gun.

Got second last night but as my last post, i came face to face with the other guy and he killed me instantly

Not sure about 50v50, but challenges apply to all other modes. As for the 2nd part, I would recommend playing on console or pc. No mobile device would do this game any justice.

Haven't been playing as frequently as I was and feel so far behind now. The average player seems far better now in the space of about a month

Don't be fooled, it's just everyone thinks they can build now thanks to the playground mode. They mostly haven't a clue how to do it effectively.

I've just come off it having won 3 squad games in a row, and nearly every one had a couple of teams filled with idiots who built straight up whilst forgetting to shoot. It's ridiculous at the moment

You're probably very good though RL! I just can't be consistent in places like Tilted. I think the SMGs have narrowed the gap with shotguns, and it's a bit more unpredictable.

No mate, I'm still a bit of a potato

It's just I am good at picking my fights and my aiming. I'm not so hot at building, I'm getting better, but that's by playing and not pretending I'm elite just because of a few boxes built in playground mode. For shooting and winning places like Tilted, it's hard at first, but you need to get it into your head that you have a bit more time than you think. People often hip shoot the second they see an enemy and spray, but give yourself just that extra breath and aim properly. It sounds obvious and all that, but trust me, once you start relaxing and realising you have the time, things get a hell of a lot easier.

Nice! I really need to use those rifts more. Also how did you build 3 pieces so quickly at around 0.32? That looks mad on the video.

Builder pro. It's so much easier.

My internet child Reaver placed 4th or 5th, with a scratch game, put up 148 points on 9 games, and his CPU spazzed out and crashed 2 min and 1 frag into game number 9.

They need to fix the vertical sound. It's impossible to tell if some is below or above you.

It's the replay. Caught him on the jump. Victory sound and jizz ensued.

No, dude, I meant the winner of the tournament last night

It's seriously suspect considering he uses a ximm, last season had a 5kd ratio and whenever I've seen him he's never slayed like that. Suddenly he's dropping 20-bombs and romping it all whilst not streaming too. Add to that he is known for encouraging stream sniping in his games. Such a cheat up

He won atleast $130,000 last night

Yeah, you can see why someone would do it. It's easy too especially if you have a small following. Hell, I know plenty of fortnite players, I could get at least 15 to drop in a game with me and share some of the cash with. Not to mention Fortnite tracker shows he actually started games in between those scores, plus his k/d is average before the tournament then went crazy high during. Finally the Xim4 not only shows you as using a controller, but also allows auto on kb/m.

It's all sus as feck, but if he did do it I kinda want him to get away with it now seeing how salty some of the other guys were

I was actually expecting the tournament to be among the pro players instead of playing randoms. It didn't work out least week because of the massive lag and the ultra-defensive play style. But if the lag can be fixed and the rules are changed to reward more kills rather than coming first, it would be a fantastic watch. It will also make sure that there is no chance for anyone to cheat.

Honestly, Epic come off as so clueless in both tournaments. Did you see last weeks where there were 30 odd people in the 6th circle?

Keemstar and UMG got it right with their tournament which is entertaining as well as the most effective system to determine the winner.

Also, @Nucks your guy with the most mechanical aim got beat by Nickmercs who doesn't build much and uses a controller. Albeit, my guy Ninja finished quite low so guess we were both wrong.

Apparently the game has made over $1 billion dollars in in-game sales....incredible.

I think I read that Activision (Blizzard) made over $4 billion in micro-transactions last year. That's where the money is made.

It looks like he didn't actually cheat. Fairplay to him.

I don't think it's the simple. Epic aren't going to call him out as it'll affect their reputation as well as denting the standards of their tournament - which is highly flawed in any case.

Also, there's a lot of evidence to suggest that the guy did cheat - apparently, he fought and killed several players who never shot at him during the encounter.

The winner really is highly suspect

Yes, he for sure used M/KB on console. 100%. The only question was, how would Epic come down on it, would they allow it, or not. They said they allow it. So the guy basically stole 130k lol.

He didn't "cheat" but he cheated. At the very least he played the tournament with a massive unfair competitive advantage over everyone else. If you watched his VODs, you can see that he is not playing with a controller, he is using mouse and keyboard for his input. Epic came out and said they don't prohibit it, so expect any future pub stomp tournaments to feature some of the biggest name guys to show up with consoles and mouse and keyboard.

There are some VODs of this IDROPZ guy, and he is actually bad. Like terrible. Those vods are of him using a controller. Then there are vods of him from a few hours later in the tournament, and his aim is laser accurate. He's using M/KB WITH Aim Assist.

Reaver crashed out of a game, so his score is off of 9 games. Nickmercs is also playing against console people. It isn't the same thing comparing PC to Console. They should run separate tournaments.

Lastly Battleground games will almost certainly never work as a really competitive game play style. It's too RNG. Throw in the defining mechanic of fortnite, building, and you end up with last weeks game. Roofing and Flooring with Bob Vila. Enjoy the view as your favorite player spends 99.9% of his time crouched in a closet looking at roofing or flooring.

If Reaver didn't crash out of game 9, and go on tilt on game 10, he most likely would have finished 2nd, or close 3rd to Faze Cloak. About 2 minutes into game 9, his monitor shut off, and then his computer started making crazy noises and it shut down. He had seen one guy, and killed him, and was in a completely safe location. So he pulled 1 frag out of a game, when he was averaging just over 17 pts points per game to that point. He freaked out and ended up spazzing out and killing himself via Tim damage in his 10th game. I think he took 8 points out of his final 2 games after the crash, when he was averaging 17.25 per game over 8. If you take his 139 after 8 games total, and say, give him 15 per game over the final 2, which is below his overall average per game over 8, he'd have ended up with 169.

The fact your NickMercs guy did so well, also explains why IDropz did what he did with a mouse and keyboard. The standard of play on console is so hilariously low. Yes, NickMercs is one of the best players on console, but his doesn't build, he doesn't try to take high ground, he just runs along the ground and kills people who are fecking terrible.

You ever played this game? 99% of the people who play are "fecking terrible". My win rate in squads, this season, is like 40% and I'm average af. And I play on PC.

Nah, that's nonsense. I wondered what Epic would do, it seems they don't want two feck up weeks in a row.

Watch the guy play before the tournament. Look at the hardware he's got now. Look at his stats.

It's just not right, he hasn't just had a lucky tournament or come out of the blue. It's complete bullshit

It's not just about KB/M it's about the hardware used too. Xim 4 allows auto aim on mouse. The whole thing is suspect.

One of my challenges is to follow the treasure map, how do i do this?

No, I don't play. There is a difference though, when you can run along the ground and dominate on console, and when you play PC and you will consistently run into a guy or two per game that can build, do build, and will actively seek to take the high ground. I pop in and watch Reav once in awhile, and almost every game despite the shower of shit, with players who have no idea what they are doing, there are consistently a few people per game that do build and will try to contest high ground on him.

I am a complete noob at fortnite, but I thought I’d post this to help fellow noobs and share my thoughts.....
Started out playing solo games and tbh, it was pretty pointless as I just got annihilated by better players all the time.
Now I’m playing 50 vs 50, and using it to help my build skills under pressure. It’s working, as I get into way more combat situations and I’m better at not shitting myself and actually getting the building done when I come under fire.
Played a game last night and got 3 kills in one game.....wish is astonishingly considering how bad I am. Anyone that’s struggling I would recommend having a bash in that mode, loading up on guns and wood, then engaging

You should watch Nickmercs in the Friday Fortnite tournament - he's played alongside Sypher and HD and more than held his own in lobbies comprising PC players. Your view on console players is ridiculous.

I finally found a llama for the challenge... But unfortunately it was in 50v50 and a no skin shot it from point blank while I tried to loot it

I'm not a bad player by any means but I've never struggled to complete a challenge like the grenade eliminations one from the first week, I've been on 1/3 since it came out and I still can't get it done

Get yourself into the 'doolies' - The Factory with the disco in it down at 7pm on map.

Get your hands on some explosives (the blue detonator one) - position as much of them around a chest and hidden from the person so they cannot see them when arriving. Get yourself up into the gods - don't touch anything and make it look like it has never been touched and sit and wait. Is like fishing.

Other thing to do is get a kill and don't touch a thing (or you could drop a load of amo & bullets about the place to make it look like a sniper) in the middle of all this drop an explosive and again sit and wait. Player will come along thinking its a sniper kill and try and take the loot.
