I'm honestly getting bored with the game now, the constant changes and even more rng just ruin the fun way too much.
Getting really really good with the Hunting Rifle.
Played 2 Solos yesterday before the squad came online.
First game, 3 hunting rifle headshot kills. Finished second because I got stupid at the end and didn't take it seriously.
Second game, 3 hunting rifle headshot kills.
Finished first with 7 kills, no surprise the last kill was a headshot hunting rifle kill.
Also had a jumping target who I hit with a headshot with the hunting rifle the other day. That was so fecking good.

Yeah for medium range I much prefer it, I don't like scopes on snipers.
Long range though it just doesn't have the zoom to compete with a bolt action.

Playing this with Switch is annoying. Aiming is so difficult.

Getting marginally better. Won another solo game where I actually got a few kills and didn't just camp. Still pretty gash at building, although changing my controls to the builder pro option has made me a bit quicker.

I hide away most of the game to finish. Finish within Top 5 most of the times I play with 0 kills

My advice would be die more but try to get kills. It's the only way you're going to get better. If you're on PS4, I can help.

I haven't played a single second of this game but wouldn't mind giving it a go on the Switch. My question is, can i play this game without building? I really don't think i can get into that aspect it.

I'm not an expert but I can hols my own in a build fight.
Without building you'd probably win 1 game in a 1000. I'm not saying build a fort in 5 seconds but get the wall/ramp and you'll ace this game.
Yeah i thought i wouldn't be able to get away with it. It's the only thing that's putting me off it so far. I'll give it a go though.

My favorite weapon too. How good are you with the shotgun? I'm horrible at them and prefer LMGs or tactical submachine guns.
I was extremely good with the pump before the nerf. Like yesterday I hit someone for 31 damage and 60 damage with the pump whereas before I'd 1 pump that fecker.
That's why I'm trying to avoid shotgun fights nowadays hence my fascination with the hunting rifle.

My building is getting better now with the Builder Pro controls. I build up and get into a good position for the one-shot kill with the pump and then miss it! Even switched my jump key to R3 so that I can turn while on the jump. Nothing seems to work

Keep going at it. Builder Pro is amazing, I rarely die without building nowadays, it's so easy to cover yourself if you got shot really well with the first shot.
On console tac smg is always the way, especially sinces the buff. On PC I go silenced Smg.
I only tend to carry 1 shotty at the most now and even then only a blue or higher. Especially whilst the dual pistols are so OP before the inevitable nerf.

How to earn v-bucks in the game?
Buy the battle pass and level it up, you earn enough for the next battle pass at least.
You get some free ones by leveling up normally without a battle pass, I think enough to buy half of one at least.
Which is still a really good deal to be honest, since the game is free anyway.
Buy it next season since this one will end in 12 days

Hell yeah, it was at 6:30 and it was insane. Everyone gathered around the rocket and stopped fighting (mostly until the big kids came and killed us all).
However I enjoyed watching vicariously through someone else’s screen it flew around tilted and risky reels and flew into the sky creating like a portal of some sort?
I was smart and landed my squad on castle rock, we got the best view and no idiots trying to kill us

Then all off a sudden you've got rockets flying all over the place and lights / explosions
