Gaming Football Manager 2016

Got the England job which I kinda regret taking. Really CBA doing that as well as Bournemouth.

Might stay until the next Euro/WC and pick 23 youth team keepers for the squad then resign

My new striker

Signed this guy for 1.9 Million. Sold him for 5.75 Million after a loan spell and a few fist team games. Stuck a 50% profit from next sale in the the deal, think I'm gonna get a windfall from it soon :D

Can't you just resign the England job?

So fed up of losing my best players every year, so frustrating :(

No wonder I cant make any real progess

Wanted to try some stuff out, so I stared a save unemployed but with a high rep, holidayed until December and the best offer on the table was from a relegation battling Torino, which was accepted.

All well and good, first game against Sampdoria, my Lb gives away a peno 10 minutes in, gets a red 30 minutes in, but we battle and get a draw, though we were the side looking more likely to win, next Inter, go down early, chase the game, get another 1-1 draw.

For the third game, I had a look at the reports, and it said they were weak to 4-2-3-1 wide, so after starting the match, I quickly switched to it.

That scout deserves a raise! :D Sadly I forgot to save the tactic....

January started interestingly too.

Had to stretch both deals over 48 months, but when Porto have Rúben Neves transfer listed for any price, it's a deal that must be made. Also have Rulli on a free next summer.

Got sacked by Bournmouth at the end of the 22/23 season. Was stagnating and going nowhere really so it was almost a welcomed decision.

Took the Norwich job

Things are on the up at Norwich. Reinvigorated the save for me I think having to find a new club. Went to work straight away with almost a complete overhaul of the first eleven.

A few notable deals for me now the first being Rimmer who I got on a free from United, marvellous deal for me. Needed a RW and he was perfect, good potential, relatively low wages and had a good CA too.

Next is Barthes, my new striker in from Monaco. He'll score plenty at this level.

Barthes:

Pulled off a big coup here getting Mentil from Juventus for 10 Million. Was in dire need of a few quality midfielders and I've really found one here. He was worth 22.5 Million when I signed him for 10
Worth mentioning Locatelli too. He will hopefully form a solid partnership with Mentil in the heart of my midfield.

This guy (Hibbert) was already at the club when I arrived but being the only recognised striker in the squad of any worth I brought in Barthes as competition. Have two really good strikers for the Championship and I don't think I'll struggle to score goals at all.

Hibbert:

Also managed to get a promising looking CB from Milan for just 7 Million, Karl Lundgren, looks like he could be a top player for me and my Canaries in the future!

Lastly is Aleix who joins me from Everton. Sold my best CAM upon arrival to free up extra funds so was on the lookout for a good young attacking midfielder.

As for the system which I'll be playing I will mostly be playing a very adventurous/attacking 4-2-3-1 Wide. Always had success in the championship with a 'gung ho' style and with the level of players I have at my disposal I imagine this will be no different.

Played two games with this team and won 3-0 at home to reading and thrashed Leeds 5-0 at Elland Road :D

Off to a good start!

Currently in a race for the title with Newcastle. had a huge game at home to 10th place Peterbrough and my backup RB is in as my regular is suspended. He gave two goals away, one a backpass and the other he conceded a penalty. Both in the first 20 mins.

I sacked him after the match.

I'm so fecked off with how scripted this is at times. So at Barcelona my two seasons so far can be summarised as follows:

We win, Madrid win.
We draw, Madrid draw.
Madrid draw, we draw.
We lose, Madrid lose.

Beat them home and away last season and won the league by 6 points. After 11 games this season we've both won 9 drawn 2 with the draws both coming in the same game weeks. Its just so predictable.

Not bad, when I joined them in December, they were 17th!

I'm in desperate need of a quality LW. Bonaventura and Callejon are both available for about 8m, Bona doesn't look as good, but Callejon is close to 30.....

A consortium want to take us over apparently. Also said that if successful they will appoint John Terry as manager.

I'm gonna be so pissed if that happens. Fecking cnuts!

So I survived the takeover (and rightly so IMO )

Not really sure what to do at the moment...

An offer came in from Roma and I'd like to have a go in Serie A for at least a couple of years and build my rep more.

I only recently got it and my god it's hard to score goals on this version. It's not difficult to have a mean defence but regardless of tactics not much seems to be happening in games. Van Gaal was tthe consultant?

Rage sacking, brilliant

Wow. After clawing ourselves to the top of the table, we failed to score in our last three games, we slid down to fifth despite never having been lower than 3rd all season. This means I got sacked immediately.

This FM is bloody hard. Can't figure out what goes wrong and why we couldn't score goals when it mattered.

EDIT: I'd also like to play a really simple 4-4-2 next season at my new club but in world football wide midfielders don't seem to exist anymore, everyone is AML/AMR.

Phenomenal signing so far!

Be honest. You only signed him because he has a funny name.

I haven't played this in a while. I think I am going to jump on again. Nothing spectacular, just a mid-low table PL team.

I just retrain players to play wherever I want if they have suitable attributes, it's pretty quick this year.

Just into the first match of the 2016/17 season, hopefully no more transfers, as it's been a mental window so far.

Pulisic is one I'm really hoping develops into a top player, as him being USA/Croatia matches the manager I created for this save. Lucas Boyé I had no choice on, prearranged deal, shame as he's crap this year(or perhaps it's just this save).

This is the full squad for this season, hopefully. A 33 year old and declining Quagliarella is an obvious hole in the squad, but he fits all my tactics really well, hoping eventually Embolo can develop into a similar player(though for now he plays the wing).

Piccinno came through in the first youth intake, touted as one of the best of his generation.

Long way to go, and I'd really like more work rate and stamina, but he looks to have something about him
.

I'd do that, but don't you have to take control of training to have the access to it? I'm too lazy to stop letting my assistant do it.

If you keep playing them in the position, the assistant manager will get the hint and start training them for it, usually takes about 5 games.

That said, playing a player out of position only has an effect on one attribute, Decisions.

I love the attention to detail in the animations now. Martial got a 'gashed head' injury during a game, but with my other two strikers both injured I left him on. In the next animation his head was bandaged up :)

They still can't do a good job of simulating leagues when you're not in it. What I'm getting at is that the points total of the top teams is ALWAYS much higher when you're in a given league and fighting for the top spot. I'm in the Championship right now; in 2016 Leeds finished second with 75 points. This season I have 73 points with 8 games to go and we're four points behind the leaders.

And this was the same in every FM.

They do exist but generally just play an amr in the position they'll learn it fairly quickly

Is there some secret to formations with one striker? Because so far the only way I can play decent football and get goals regularly is with 4-4-2. A 4-5-1 counter is half-decent, everything else is just awful. Any attempt at possession football will result in vangaaling it. Playing with an AMC seems impossible as well.

That's pretty sweet. I really hope they come up with a stadium editor for future editions though. Would so love to see the brick dugout at OT. That would also make me start a save with Boca Juniors. Can you imagine having La Bombonera in the game? I don't expect it to happen, since it's not a huge part of the gameplay, but would love it regardless.

 what the...?

Also just noticed '15th'

My Bournmouth/Norwich/Roma/St Etienne save has come to an end.

Gonna have a few days off playing and figure out what type of game I want next.
