Gaming Football Manager 2016

After signing him in August, Miroslav Klose score his first ever Man Utd goal on boxing day!

Good job I only signed him for tutoring purposes

Lacking a bit of depth so bringing in Welbeck (£9 Million) and Butland (£11 Million) in January. Welbeck was on the list and Butland was unhappy so in I swoop :)

De Gea is out for 6-8 Weeks and I have no reserve keeper except youth players.

Signed a highly rated english keeper in the summer who is gonna have to gove for a few months:

I am lacking in attack. Tried for Sterling, Kane and Oxlade-Chamberlain but all of them were no goes. Doesn't help it is only the January window.

I have had to copy you and nab Berahino.

Good player, scores and assists well on my RW.

Got a few injuries ATM and just noticed 17/18 of my matchday squad is British. Only Martial in there thats not English or Irish, in McCarthy's case.

Eurgh Leicester want 47 million for Vardy.

Tempted to pay it though. He could be great for tutoring younger players and could probably do a job in my team now.

I found good English forwards thin on the ground too, have Berahino and Kane to rotate in the strikers slot, and my wings are taking up 3 of my 5 foreign slots with Martial, Memphis on the left and Bernardo Silva & Rashford on the right.

I am really tempted by Mahrez. He will cost a bomb though.

May have to wait till the end of the season.

Struggling a bit without Memphis' brilliance this year unfortunately. Might have to go but a good LW in January if Welbeck/Grealish don't crack on!

Got Leicester down to £40 million for Vardy.

I am doing it :wenger:

Immediately got Vardy tutoring Berahino.

They already have similar PPMs. Lets hope Vardy can get Barahino's determination up to near the max.

Big game in the CL group stage against Juventus coming up, purely from a momentum POV. Had a good start to the season winning 3/3 and then I just lost in and lost 4/6.

Just bear Norwich and now want to continue building momentum by smashing these feckers!

Jamie Vardy just scored a first half hat trick against City.

£40 million well spent :D

I've decided to start a game as Celtic. With the aim of trying to eventually win the CL with them

The best way I can think of doing it is simply by trying to sign all the best 16/17 year olds and somehow keep hold of them until they hit their prime. And then try to win the CL in like 2022

Any tips?

It's ridiculously easy, long as you sign the wee worldies to contacts with 3 year optional extensions and massive, massive buyouts. You've also one of the best wonderkids coming in the 2nd season by default, in Ajer.

I haven't played FM16 yet (last I played was FM12) so I'll probably find it harder than it is.

The idea of Celtic winning the CL in real life is silly (who'd go to Scotland?) So i assume it should be difficult on the game too

Chelsea sacked Hiddink in the first season and replaced him with LVG

Not really, you can pick up all the cheap wonderkids handily, regular first team football makes them grow at pace, and boom, you're in the mix.

You're 2nd string will demolish the league anyway, so your best 11 should be fully rested and ready for European fixtures.

Last game of the season and I am 1 point ahead of Arsenal in 1st. :nervous:

I have not won in like 4 games but neither has Arsenal. The winner of the league is going to on either 73 points or 74 points. Shit season

Woop Woop did the double.

Won the league cause everybody else was shit and beat Man City in the FA Cup final.

I owe a lot of this success to players like Depay, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin who I am going to try and get rid of. so next season might not be as successful.

My first signing of the summer was JWP (again). Southampton got relegated and I managed to get him for £8 million. Should be decent backup.

I had FM 2015 handheld. Enjoyed it a lot. Anyone have the handheld one of FM 2016 and if so is it any good?

In my last one, in 6 years at Benfica the only trophies I didn't win were the Portuguese Supercup and league cup in my first season. After I fluked my way to the first CL win some Russian billionaire bought me and just gave me a massive chequebook. Eventually my squad was entirely players I'd bought as wonderkids or youth team/reserves I'd brought through. Benfica actually were (don't know about this years game) pretty good for lads coming through.

Why can't you play Butland?

I found him to be good in Europe and terrible in the league. He did score the goals that got us through the qualifiers. Then he got injured for 5 months, came back and demanded an extra £30k a week to sign for another year. Shame I had to offload him as a failure as in the second season I changed tactics that would have suited him a lot more.

Think it was 15, but I took over a relegation threatened Lazio after a season or two, and found if you put some pacey guys who could get him the ball quickly, Klose was fantastic purely at banging them in. He retired end of season and it took me two years to get an adequate replacement. Left a massive hole in the team.

2-0 up against Arsenal at half time.
Coquelin gives away a penalty and gets sent off after 55 minutes.
Bernardo Silva misses the penalty.
Higuaín scores for Arsenal after 82 minutes.
Jones scores an own goal one minute into stoppage time.
Walcott scores from an offside position three minutes into the two minutes of stoppage time.
