Gaming Football Manager 2016

Sadly, JWP isn't great this year, not like he was in 14 or 15. :(

Ohh FFS!

Had my bid and contract for Dier accepted but didnt have the cash, was short by two fecking million. Had to back out.

Went straight back in with a deal I could afford, got accepted, and he's now not interested now cause I backed out of the deal :mad:
Hate when that happens, usually only takes a week or so for them to be open to talks again, though.

Right I am reloading this career as I feel deciding on the English team theme half way through the summer window really fecked me over.

Now I know what I want from the start and I am going for it from the off.

Yeah that will probably help you TBF

Still no luck with Alli but have now recieved much better offers for Mata and Rooney. Managed to get a bit more out of PSG for Blind as well. £27 million up front.

So I managed to sell Fellaini on the first save for £9 million. On this one I just cant shift him. I offered £0 and there is still no takers.

This game is wierd at times.

That sounds a better plan alright!
£55 Million for Dier, sealed the deal!
Well in!
Gotze has been listed for £20 Mil. Tempted
I have no idea why Bayern can never seen to use him. 20m's daft for that quality.

Have to say though, biggest surprise on my save is still how well Rooney took to being my midfield general. It's also had the knock on effect of him showing the best international form of his life.

FFS.

I accidently found myself sitting through the England trial match.

On the plus side I got my own bid for Dier accepted. Rises up to £63 million in total.

Arsenal got knocked out of the UCL and are currently 9th in the league and sacked Wenger

Selling Darmian to Chelsea for 15 Million too.

I was tempted to try and do the same but I always end up at loggerheads with him over something. He went immediately.

Interesting seeing how things change between saves.

First save Jack Grealish cost me over £50 million in total and on this one I have managed to get him for around £30 million.

Also Rashford and Wilson both had 5* potential first time round. This time Rashford is only 4 and half stars and Wilson only 4*.

What's CBJ on yours?

Well I couldn't turn it around. Lost the league to City by 3 points. That means I dropped 18 points on them in 14 games. Really shitty performance. I don't think this ever happend to me on FM ever.

Overall the season wasn't too bad for not bringing in any good first team players but given the lead we had after 24 games I have to be really disappointed with the outcome.

Fantastic December/Christmas period for me :D

Five wins and a draw. Beat (the now managerless) Chelsea at the Bridge and just squeezed out a win against WBA away then. Up into 6th after a poor start!

Edit: Everton up next, just had a look to see how rooney was doing for them. Playing on the LW, 14 apps/1 goal

Edit II: 3-1 Away win at Everton! Flying now!

First game of the season.

Winning 1-0 away at Everton. £63 million Dier has to come off injured. Replace him with Stones who gives away a penalty in the 94th minute which they score.

Stones is still a fecking Everton player at heart clearly.

Stones made up for it the second game by burying a penalty in a 4-0 hammering of Sunderland.

Was confused as hell as to why he was taking the penalty but then I saw his penalty taking was 15 which I didn't know.

Tempted? You should be all over that.
Sticking to my no foreign player policy quite strictly ATM.

If I bought him I'd play him RW where Berahino currently plays who has been fantastic this season so I just couldn't do it!

Just spunked £4 million on Evra purely to tutor Shaw and CBJ.

Anyone know any other old farts I can buy to how would be great tutors? I am considering Miroslav Klose

Never use the 'Don't get complacent' team talk at half time.

Winning 1-0 at White Hart Lane at HT and I tell them not to get complacent which the reaction of every player was 'seemed to gain confidence'.

Within two minutes of the second half we conceded 2.

Edit: And within 15 minutes we have conceded 4. WTF is going on!

On the contrary, if I don't use that team talk you can guarantee that my team will spunk away whatever lead we have at half time. Its the only successful method I've found for defending against it.

That said, I think this FM has a real problem with unrealistic comebacks. I'm Beijing:

Wtf

I've never been able to get any joy out of that instruction at half time. Any team talk mentioning complacency always leads to half of the team looking confused and/or angry, Wayne Rooney style.

It's really not hard to understand guys. "You're playing good. Keep playing good and don't make an absolute bollocks of it."

Half of the team: No reaction
Other half of team: "Complacent?? The feck?? feck this guy! Let's score 5 own goals, flash our cocks to the TV cameras and then chin the referee."

Playing Arsenal in the League Cup. Used all three subs, and my keeper (a regen) injures his arm and has to come off. Ended up losing 4-0 because it turns out Smalling isn't the goalkeeping saviour I thought he might be.

That's all fine, these things happen, but then the post-match report says "the bizarre decision to field Chris Smalling in goal following (regen)'s departure through injury instead of using their recognised stand-in on the substitute's bench."

I'd used all my subs! What do they want from me?

Well you will find out in your next season if Barcelona can do it on a cold night in stoke

fecking Liverpool.

Desperate.

How is your first team looking?

Some changes. Villa were relegated so I activated Grealish's relegation release clause for £14 Million.

Then Madrid offered me £50 Million for Memphis which I took and then I've recently bought McCarthy from Everton for £40 Million as I'm trying to get Schneiderlin out of the team now. Tempted to go for a big midfielder though, Pogba, Koke etc. If I do Schneiderlin will go first though...

I am going to look at getting rid of Schneiderlin at the end of the season. He is having a good season so hopefully I can get some good money for him.

I am pretty stacked in CM with Cook and Loftus-Cheek coming in. Plus I have the likes of Rankin-Costello, Gribbin and a lad called Oliver Shenton who got from Stoke in my u18s.

I think I might train Rankin as a right midfielder. Pretty short there with Januzaj being the only good player but I will definitely have to bring one in January.

I have just seen my transfer budget has gone up to £109 million. Might go all out for Sterling

Splashed £110 Million on Pogba and out goes Schneiderlin to Juventus

Edit: Just got a 5* rated 15 y/o winger from Southampton. 2 Million
