That's all well and good, but have you managed to convince Matthew Bates to come on a 6 month loan ?

Haha. Will move to a club like that soon. 1 year at Inter and then 1 in Germany or Spain if I get the job at Dortmund or Atletico before I settle down with a 2nd div club.

So James Wilson is an absolute weapon in this game. Martial got called up the the oympic squad so wasn't fit for the beginning of the season, I decided to use Wilson instead of my other wonderkid as he usually does well for me, but wow he's been on absolute fire!. He's got approx 34 goals in 20 games. I've had to adapt to a 4-2-4 to keep playing Martial at the same time, I want him to break the all time scoring record at this rate

Do you play him as a poacher? I've signed him on a permanent deal for watford in season 4 but im in the championship, haha. Misses a few chances here and there but my strikers have always been "support" in 3 seasons before this with loads of goals.

Haven't used him yet this year's version but in earlier versions, he used to be great as a poacher.

Nope advanced striker on the left of the 2. Runs the channels really well and long balls to him over the top just can't be stopped with his 18pace/accel

St Mirren have a tycoon and have qualified for the knockouts of the Champions League. Beat Dortmund twice in the group stages..

Don't feel like playing with Inter :D

Had saved the game just before resigning, thinking of going back and taking over at Dortmund or Atletico, would need to wait till the job becomes available. Could be a while.

Okay so I have taken over at AC Milan. Got their dof sacked as a condition.

Now that the window is over, is there a good transfer update? Not that LFCMarshall one either which likes to be nice to Liverpool.

LFCMarshall has stopped doing updates since FM15. Best I've used so far is the pr0 update, but I think the final Jan one is due on the 5th.

These two are up to date, but I haven't had the chance to try either of them yet: FM Whizzkids & sortitoutsi Update

Milan are fecked. 2 shit years for them, no European football now, players wanting to leave, no one wants to come, etc.

I am really not interested in staying more than 2 seasons so need to get them up and running quickly.

Does the game no longer warn you if you're about to sign a player for whom work permit might be tough to get? I swear in the previous games this info was in the scout reports itself. I got rid of Blind for 30m after he continually pissed me off about wanting to play more games and signed an Argentine lad from Sporting who I can't play because the WP has been rejected. Have to settle for CBJ as back up LB now

It's there in the scouting report right at the top of the CONS section

I don't see it mentioned anymore, when you get an offer for a player and they're interested in whatever club, it used to have a message "Asshole striker's agent has indicated that his client wants to discuss terms with FC Cnuthole".

That used to be handy.

Is angel gomes not there in the DB? Was looking for him yesterday but couldn't find him.

You can download custom databases where youth players are manually created by someone and put in. Check SortItOutSi, FM Base, fan sites like that.

Can't be bothered for just 1 player. Such DBs are certain to have some changes in set player attributes too.

Yup. Right at the top.

My coaches and scouts are wankers then. Didn't say anything about a WP in the cons. Just some garbage about not knowing the language. Ah well. Only 6m I guess so not too bad.

Ah, that's bad. Did you go upto 100% player knowledge?

Don't think so but one would think you don't need more than int stats to know if he qualifies or not
Probably. Not sure when it comes up because the entire scouting report only pops up at 100%. Could have been that.

I mentioned a little while ago about my Bilbao save and struggling to find another job but I'm pretty pleased at the moment as I managed to get a job, and a good one :D

January 2017 and I got offered the job at Las Palmas, who are a team very close to my heart as on FM13 (I think) they were my team in one of my greatest ever saves.

Took over a okay squad who were languishing in the second division in 20th place. Was getting a bit disheartened with the game, think I've only played like 40 hours total so far. This could be the thing to kickstart my interest in it again.

Wish I could use my tactic from last year too, that's annoying but...

Got offered a way out of 7th place in the Vanarama Conference North and i've gone to the relative big city living of Annan Athletic who I have in 1st place. Synthetic pitch means I can actually use a tactic to play some decent stuff.

I started a save with Derby county relatively recently, gonna try and stay with them and build them into a top team. Usually do it with Nottingham forest, but this year Derby's finances are a lot better off then forest. Anyway, got them promoted through the playoffs after getting Correa in on loan, but now I think I'm a bit fecked for the prem. Cleared out a lot of dead wood and now have a pretty good starting 11 but with almost no back up at all.

So what are good, cheap wingers to get? Second season, so maybe also promising youngsters that you can get for cheap but can turn into pretty good players. Brought in Kranevitter and Pereira, so along with Will Hughes, have a good midfield, and got Bolasie since Palace got relegated, but not sure who else to bring in. Always see all these good deals on my united saves, then when I actually need them I can't remember.

Townsend? He's at Derby on my save in the 4th season.

After taking last week off after my game shut down without me saving a few games i finally got back into my newly relegated Watford team. Im top of the league, but lose the odd game at home and away. I cleared the deadwood (had no choice anyway every fecker wanted to leave). Bought back Ighalo, partner him with Wilson or some regen wonderkid. I bought Rashford and loaned Gribbin and Tuanzebe. Accidentally gave Santon the right back a 100k wage though which is shit, he aint even that good. I negotiated a 30k weekly payment from his club towards his wages not realising it went straight to him when i offered him 70k a week (i was desperate as i had no fullbacks and it was take it or leave it with days to go, every player was telling me Watford was shit and to feck off pestering them).

Ill be after pereira aswell. Im pleased because when i get promoted ill know ill only need to sell a couple of first teamers as i have a relatively young squad but i will definitely need a warchest if i want to get better then 14/15th.

Yeah I saw him being transfer listed, just seems a bit shite. Bolasie and Tom Ince are my current wingers though, had Correa and Lingard both on loan last season and both my two best players and now I can't get either in this season

Actually just noticed Brandt was unhappy so bid 5m and got him with relatively little fuss! Basically the perfect signing for what I wanted. Huge potential too. Lineup now, going into the premier league is:
Begovic
Trippier Rugani Shackell Christie
Kranevitter hughes Pereira
Brandt Pato Bolasie
Have Jenkinson, Ince, Long and Bradley Johnson on the bench as well. Need more depth there but a decent core group of players, should see me get hopefully mid table.

I should add that Rugani and Jenkinson are loans. No way in hell I could get Rugani otherwise. Need to buy actual center backs next time I get some money.

Can Bolasie play on the right?

It'd be a waste to not have Brandt on the left wing if possible, as an inside forward he absolutely smashes teams to bits.
Both of them seem equally capable of playing right winger or left inside forward, so I'll probably rotate them in those 2 areas. Haven't used Brandt in a few years on FM so I'm not sure how he is on this one, he was class on 14 I think it was though.

He's probably even better than he was on 14. Always at or near leading in goals and assists for me.

Even when I was playing 4-4-1-1, as a LM, I think was WM(a) with cut inside, dribble more, cross less. Basically owned an entire 2/3rds of the pitch.
