Just set transfers to "reject all offers", they want a player, they'll have to activate his release. Obviously, some players might get in a huff about rejected bids, but that'll happen anyway so feck'em.
Started a save as United last night, Offered Valencia out (valued at £20 Million) for about 12-15 Million and the best offer I got for him was £3 Million, non-negotiable
I mean WTF
Did you offer him out early on in the window?Started a save as United last night, Offered Valencia out (valued at £20 Million) for about 12-15 Million and the best offer I got for him was £3 Million, non-negotiable

First day on the job.Did you offer him out early on in the window?
Wait till the window officially starts, should work then.First day on the job.
DM now I kept him, its mid October now.Wait till the window officially starts, should work then.
As Akash said though, unless you're signing a rb, he's quite good there.
Valencia is decent anyway, keep him for a season as 2nd RB where his pace and strength will do well, then some team will likely chuck 15m or so at him. Even seen him go to Real Madrid...
I have a lad asking me for a new contract once a month "feck off, ages on your deal yet", "Cheers boss", month later, "money, money, money" "feck off" "cheers boss".He keeps on asking to leave in my save and I keep on telling him that his experience is useful. Ends up saying sorry to me everytime
I know you can auto-reject below asking price so just set the AP to the release clause and bingo.
Quite a ride thatHad (what I thought) was a pretty decent save going last week. Was playing as United on the full version which I don't often do and I was struggling to find a working tactic. 4th place in the first season after getting some semblance of a run going with a 4-2-2-2 formation.
Got to about Feb in season two and I was around 7/8th place when I got the dreaded "Impress us next match or you're a goner" from the board. Turned out to be Soton away in the league. Was going well, team responded brilliantly to me pumping them up before the game and went 2-0 in the first 15 minutes. Disaster then struck as Smalling was sent off and I ended up getting beaten 4-2
Took me ages to find a new job then and after months and months of nothing I received a few interviews. One from Championship based Middlesbrough and also Bilbao. TBH I was excited about taking on Bilbao and careful selected my answers and to my delight they offered me the job. Which I then duly accepted.
I have no idea why but the first thing I wanted to do is check that they hadn't sold guys like Laporte or Munain so I rushed to my squad page to track them down and to my horror I found neither of them. I checked transfer history to find no record of them ever being sold
It quickly dawned on me at that point that something was not right in Basque country and to my dismay I'd agreed to take charge of Bilbao's second team in the Adelante and not the full team
Never mind though, still considered it to be an interesting challenge so I got to work. After leaving United I had kept an eye on things after they appointed Ancelotti as my successor and I became interested in testing out the 4-1-2-1-2 formation, the narrow diamond. So the first thing I did when I became manager of Bilbao was to implement this system. My predicted finish was 12th place IIRC and I smashed that target pretty well considering I couldn't really buy anyone and now and then the real Bilbao would take my best players from me and promote them to the first team.
I quickly grew tired of conditions at Bilbao and decided to leave once the season had finished and look for something better. Now I'm left in a bit of a situation and don't really know what to do, I'm not getting any offers from anybody at all, not even interviews and it's been a year. I'm not sure whether to retire and start with a better rep or not...
I assume you have been applying for jobs in the lower divisions? The 4222 (with inside forwards) does work by the way. Im finishing my second season with United with it. I cheated in that i copied a tactic off some site but it needed tweaking. The main gist of it is super narrow, direct passing, fastest tempo and high closing down. Slightly high line. All mids and attackers on support (1 cm as adv pm and 1 cm deep lying) and attacking full backs. The occasional game i do need to drop a striker for a ball winner, especially tough away games. Oh, and always counter mentality. Never change that unless you have to overload in the final minutes and push a cb forward. Thats what won me the champions league when i equalised with the last kick in 90 mins.Had (what I thought) was a pretty decent save going last week. Spent two years of a save at Barca B once, obviously easier with their reserves, but I smashed the 3rd(where they had been relegated to before I joined) and then the Adelante. Ended up doing well enough to get an offer from Espanyol in La Liga. Went there and took Alex Grimaldo, Dani Suarez and Rafinha with me.Had (what I thought) was a pretty decent save going last week. I don't think you can fine loaned players, can you?
It's a shame he was only on loan, probably deserved a rise.I didn't actually realise that. I didn't even look into it. It's Juan. The man of the people. Oviedo's people. The town would burn me alive and catapult me into the sea. Is Oviedo near the sea? I don't know.
How could you give that face a bollocking?
He's incredibly effective in this game. I can play him in positions he's supposedly not comfortable in, and his traits not only do a job, but he's consistently my best performer. I've had him in defensive midfield and even centre forward, and he's great. Dunno why Giggs wasn't giving him a game, the daft shite. Hope I can get him to sign permanently in the summer.
I only sold him when I was managing Man Utd because he was 29 and Barca offered me like 50 or 60 million.Yeah I'm surprised so many sold Mata in this. He's amazing for my Utd team. Borders on an 8 average every season.
My Utd after 3 seasons are already too good, though, and all I've done is spend big money on teenagers, except for Pogba, who is outrageously good tbf (26 goals last season). He bangs them in from 30 yards constantly. Helped me beat Barca, PSG and Real on the way to the CL final where he scored 2 30 yarders against Juve.
As usual the other teams AI is awful and they're already getting crap. Barca and Real spend most of their summer trying to buy my players and end up with none.
Might already be time for a new challenge.
Never really been offered anything for Mata, funnily. It's a shame he was only on loan, probably deserved a rise.

I bought a 20 year old Gribbin off Man Utd in my current save for 13m. Reckon it's daylight robbery.
Very good, quick, creative, technically gifted and killer with free kicks and handy with corners. Also, can play anywhere from MR/L/C forward, I even played him as a striker a few times. Is he any good in the game?
I could desperately do with some good players coming through my academy to help with the quota.

One weakness is Off The Ball, but if you're developing him yourself, that's easy to tackle early on.
If he's a player I have plans for, I prefer not to loan them. Also, you gotta remember your squad standard with star ratings, if you've all the best in the world, there aren't many players going to be 4* or more.My coaches only rate him two and half stars unfortunately. Better to send him out on loan I'm guessing?
It may still be shite. I only have him 4 months, so it could just be that the coaches haven't spotted it yet. Then again, he does play very well. How did you manage to get his consistency to improve? On mine he is the same age and actually a lot better than that. He was only rated at 3 stars for ages too, now he has 4 star potential. I had Felipe Anderson tutor him which got his determination up to 18 and changed his attitude to professional, since then his stats have improved quickly and significantly. His passing, dribbling, freekicks, first touch, technique and vision are all 17 at least. His pace and acceleration are 15/16. He rarely gets rated less than 7.60 per match.
I actually thought he was never going to make it as he was constantly injured for the first 2 years of the game and barely got to play at all.
He's a wonderkid in your game? Got lucky with the DB, he's good in my save but far from wonderkid levels. It may still be shite. I only have him 4 months, so it could just be that the coaches haven't spotted it yet. Then again, he does play very well.

Here's how he looks in mine. Don't mind the daft club name, it's one I made myself in the editor, couldn't think of anything better....
When you're watching a player report you can view his star ratings compared to different positions on the pitch. Martial's star rating should not be changed much since he doesn't play in the same position as Pogba.I noticed yesterday that Martial, despite being 21 years old, is now rated just 2.5 stars in my team. I did sign Pogba so that may be part of it.
