Gaming Football Manager 2016

So it's one week until Rooney's contract runs out, he is 33 now and injured for 3 months. Let's see what his demands are going to be. Probably 300k p/w and keyplayer status, the way I know this game. Of course I won't give him that and he will leave the club, just to sign for some shitty team abroad for 75k p/w.

Like 152ish.

That's really fecking low. Smalling has become a liablity for me. He wasn't too bad in my first couple of seasons though but Rugani and Romangioli are already light years better than him and Jones. Jones is quite a good backup though, as he also makes an excellent right back at time. Still I'm going to try and offload Smalling this summer and bring in Stones, should have gotten him before he went to Chelsea though, now he is going to cost me a fortune.

I'm having the same issues I did with FM15. I average about 35 shots a game, its ridiculous.

Though just retained the CL by beating City in the final again and won the league. Only one loss in two years, not bad. I always seem to play the best football when managing Dortmund, no matter what version of the game.

I'm tempted to sell my entire team in the summer. Bunch of big time Charlie twats. They can beat Juve, beat Bayern home and away, Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool all vanquished. They utterly fail to turn up against Villa, Watford, Swansea or Leicester. Even after Villa and Watford have been relegated they still play us off the park. You'd swear we were the relegated team when we play them, we don't even get chances.

In my experience it helps to play more conservative against weaker teams. Play a deeper defensive line to avoid counter attacks, close down less so they actually have a chance of coming out of their penalty area and open up space for you. Atm I usually play attacking against the bigger teams that are trying to give me a fight and play with a counter mentality against the weaker teams to draw them out. Apart from the occasional stupid game where the opponents score with every shot from everywhere I rarely lose to small teams anymore.

They have no problem getting out of their penalty area, they spend most of the match camped in mine!

I play more defensive against some of the bigger teams and it seems to work against others I set out to dominate and that can work too. Occasionally we will smash a midtable or bottom team, but usually we just don't turn up against the crap teams. The problem seems to originate in the midfield for some reason. No matter which pair I put in there they fall apart against weaker teams, then there will always be someone looking very nervous despite looking motivated before the match. No matter what I say to them via team talk or at half time they remain a bag of nerves until I sub them.

Well Rooney actually agreed a deal for another year worth 130k p/w, I'm surprised.

Stones was unattainable, Chelsea wouldn't even negotiate when I bid 120M £. Feck them, I got a really great 17 year old french defender for £ 15M, with a 4 1/2 star rating, Stones is only at 2 1/2 stars.

Also brought in a 19 year old Spanish FB from Real Madrid, also with 4 1/2 stars for £ 19M + another potential £ 15M in addons and I think this will already conclude my deals for this summer. Can't see any player who is available for a reasonable price that could improve my team significantly.

Great start to the season with my Sevilla side. Beat Madrid away on the opening day 2-1, tied 2-2 with Barca at home and now won 4-1 away to Atletico Madrid. Tied second with Madrid with 8 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss after 11 games, Barca has 9-1-1. 32 goals and 9 conceded in 11 games though gives me the best goal difference so far and most goals scored. Normally I feel like I'd be top by a few points, but it's probably really hard to beat Madrid or Barca to the title.

Rooney demanded playing time, I said he could get minutes in the cup games, he wanted more than that, I refused, he went AWOL, I stripped him of his captaincy, the players were unhappy, they wanted a meeting, I told them Rooney isn't the right choice as captain, some complained to Giggs, Giggs wanted me to chat with them individually, I repeated myself that Rooney isn't the right choice, some became miserable, DDG was unhappy, I talked to him, he was wondering why Rooney wasn't fined for being AWOL, I wanted to tell him that it was either stripping him of the captaincy or fining him and that I couldn't do both but that was not an option in the chat box, he didn't like my answer, he became miserable, the board came to me, they asked why the feck everyone was complaining, I said I got no idea, they told me to either win both the next two games or get sacked, we beat leaders Arsenal in a perfect performance, everything was back on track, until Newcastle came to visit in the following week, we had 23 shots, they had 1, they won 0-1, I knew my destiny at the FT whistle, I was sacked.

Fecking mental hospital that place. Now I'm at Everton who are 18th and the goal is to avoid relegation which should be easy as pie with this playing group. Eagerly anticipating meeting United in due course. Fecking Giggs is the new manager, I think it was his masterplan all along to get rid of me. I'll show that cnut.

Just finished my first season. Finished 4th in the league, got beat in the final of the FA Cup and won the Champions League beating Real Madrid 3-2 in the final. Now I have £100m to spend and no one seems to want to join me. Pogba is my main target but he apparently has no intention of joining. Laporte is the same.

The researchers are getting better, that reads like real life United, all the way down to evil giggs.

One of the main reasons I don't play the full mode anymore is the god awful interaction system. Half the time reactions make no sense, but okay humans don't always make sense either and the other half is spent trying to find an answer that even remotely says what you would in such a situation. Interaction in this game is just plain shit, as are the press conferences, and they contribute nothing to the fun of this game, so why the heck are they in there? I know it's supposed to be a simulation but in the end it's still a game and if something doesn't contribute to a game in any shape or form it's better to just leave it out, but okay that's what classic/touch is now for. I just hope they keep this shit out of the game.

Yeah they really need sorting out, they are just a lottery too. You can reload the save, do the exact same thing again and get the polar opposite reaction. I've currently got an upset Mata, he is valued at £45m, I want £60m+ for him(not transfer listed) Barca and Real both bid £30m, only £10m of which is up front and won't go any higher. He demands to know why he can't leave, I tell him the bids weren't good enough and he's got it in his head I'm going to accept whatever the next bid is. Mental.

Can anyone recommend a good central midfielder, preferably a deep lying playmaker but a box to box will do. I'm looking to upgrade on BFS and Herrera(who valued at £26m the highest bid I've had for him was £11m with £1m up front!!) Juve want £151m for Pogba and that's before him and his agent demand massive signing on fees so there's no way I can afford him.

Why do scouts tell you prices? Mine told me I can get Lewandowski for between £91m and £115m, I bid, get told no we want £156m. The useless twat.

I never get much out of a DLP. Maybe I'm expecting too much.

Arsenal came in and activated Depays £63m release clause. I sold Mkhitaryan to Monaco for £35m. Replacements are Coutinho for £40m and Odegaard for £36m.

Depay never did enough for me. Would constantly miss easy chances and only turn up at the end of the season.

Veratti was another I looked at, he doesn't want to join me. Very few world class players do, Lewandowski seems to be the only one. Possibly because we finished 4th, but we won the bloody champions league.

I had a player complain about not getting first team football under the last manager. I told him I would give him game time, we haven't played a game since then as its been pre-season and he's now unhappy I broke my promise. WTF?

I told a player I'd give him game time over the next month, he spent the whole month injured came back and played in the last match. He claimed I broke my promise.

I'm stuck in a weird limbo, no one that will improve me wants to sign or will cost £150m+ and I can't sell anyone as the AI keep low balling me on every bloody player. I'm going to end up starting the season with the squad that finished 4th + Stones and Jorge.

I always like signing Lucas Romero from Velez. Cheap as chips and consistent as B2B and DLP.

I also just had another player angry for the same reason. Apparently I promised him game time too, but I don't remember doing it, he's a reserve striker rated at half a star.

Looking at it, he has a very similar name to the other player. Ones called Choi Jin-Ho and the other Choi Seung-In. I guess theres no interaction option for 'sorry, your names too similar to someone who's actually not shit and I got you confused'.

I think I might just upgrade Schneiderlin as the holding the player and get William Carvalho. Then get Felipe Anderson as when Depay is injured my left wing goes to shit now. Since I can't seem to buy an improvement on BFS or Herrera for love nor money.

This went well. Carvalho is another that doesn't want to sign for us, I dunno why no one wants to any more as we won the CL and are back in it this year. Felipe Anderson probably won't get a work permit. Agreed a deal to sign Mayke but Juve have too so he will probably go there.

This year I have spent 85 million pound, feck though, that 350k.....

30 minutes into the first match of the new season we are 3-0 down away to Spurs and Morata has been carried off. On comes Martial. He sets up one, scores two and then gets brought down for Depay to hammer in the winner from a free kick.

I brought back Rafael for £11m after missing out on Mayke, I needed competition for Darmian and a really attacking option at fullback. He starts at home to Norwich, gets booked in the first 10 minutes and then injured. It's like he never went away.

The 2022 World Cup just got moved to China on my game.

Giggsy you cnut, in your fecking face. This also means they are losing out on top 4 to Liverpool. When I got sacked they sat third with a nice little gap to fifth. Grass isn't always greener.

This is beautiful

Halfway through the 3rd season and I've managed to turn my Brighton team into quite a consistently solid outfit.

I can get results against most teams but the one team who always fecks me up is Norwich, they are in a relegation battle. They've knocked me out of the league cup twice and now just did the league double over me.

Who is your team that always gets a result against you who has no right to?

I installed this at work as no one can see my screen.

Wonder how long it'll take for me to get fired for not doing my job, or swearing out loud and throwing something at Jane when I lose a 2-0 lead in the CL final

God I hate Jane.

Anyone had any experience signing Strootman or Rakitic. Strootman has better stats than all my midfielders except for his natural fitness which is only a 5, but for some reason my best scouts only rate him as 3 stars, less than Herrera. Rakitic seems pretty close to what I was looking for, but his determination is only 10 and I hate signing players with low determination and I'm worried he prefers to play further forward.

Edit: feck Rakitic, he wants £240k a week and an £8m signing on fee. Greedy transfer listed bitch.

Gotta love a good FM story.

I won the league for a second season in a row. Nothing else though. Knocked out of both domestic cups away to City as always and Bayern knocked me out of the CL.

Had a 154m budget and after selling some dead wood I had even more. Bought Pogba for 90m and Bale for 60m. Sent Harry Kane back to Spurs in a swap deal for Emre Can who is suddenly very good. Sold Darmian to Real. Wilson went to Southampton for 16m. Been trying to turn Bale into an out and out striker.

de Gea
Carvajal - Smalling - Laporte - Shaw
Pogba - Schneiderlin
Mata - Eriksen - Depay
Bale

Bench: Herrera, Can, Malcom, Pjanic, Januzaj, Tielemans & Martial.
