Gaming Football Manager 2016

Doing much better now after switching to a proper 4-2-3-1. :) Memphis scoring in almost every game.

Some days I love this game.

I just wish there weren't so many games where my world class players miss chances alone in front of goal while some dude with finishing 5 of the opposition team smashes in his "first ever goal for X" with their first shot on target from 30 yards.

Got offered the Barca job, took it. It's a piece of piss.

Just played vs Celta in Jan: Messi has scored 5, Suarez with a goal and assist and Neymar had 6 assists in the match (his total is 19 assists this season now).

Top 3 goal scorers are them 3

Edit: Also funnily enough, the season before Messi scored a total of 21 goals last season in 60 odd games. This season by November he already passed that target.

Of the last 10 league games we drew 0-0 with City and lost 0-1 at home to Newcastle, won all the rest including some right hammerings. Sitting 5th at the minute but every confidence of finishing 3rd. So the board call me in after the Newcastle loss in our last match and threaten to sack me, in fact I am sacked if we don't get 10 points in the next 5 matches, 3 of which are away. 1 is at Anfield and 1 at home to Arsenal. Champions League is mixed in between this and we have injury problems. Thanks board, you pricks!

Apparently De Gea, Johnstone, Blind, Shaw, Rojo(all my leftbacks), Mustafi, Smalling McNair(5 of my 6 centre backs if you count Blind and Rojo), Schweinsteiger, Zivkovic, Berardi, Depay and Morata all being out for lengthy spells in the last 2 months alone doesn't count as injury problems.

Has anyone that's signed Eriksen found that he scores from freekicks? We have hit the target from a freekick once all season(Blind scored, dunno why he was even taking it). I'm thinking about bringing in a dead ball expert as we have been woeful from both freekicks and corners all season. Not sure if it's my players or just a general engine problem.

The AI seems incredibly shitty at getting Messi and Ronaldo to score goals. In FM they never seem to produce anywhere near the numbers they do irl.

To be honest, there is a good chance we won't stay in the Championship....

I swear the questions from the press get shittier with each version of FM. The journo just asked if I was hoping for help in the title race from other clubs because Chelsea had a game in hand and I just had drawn the match against City. I was a bit baffled about this question considering that I was leading the league by 14 points over Chelsea, with 7 games to go.

Yeah, it's ridiculous!

My United side is freaking ridiculous.

Martial
Memphis-----------Gabigol
Veratti----Pogba
Schneiderlin
Shaw----Laporte----Stones----Darmian
De Gea

Wilson
Embolo------------Januzaj
Tielemans----Herrera
Thiago Maia
Galloway----Rojo----Smalling----Jones
Johnstone
With Samper and Lincoln out on loan, and TFM, Gribbin, Oxford, Upamecano, Zaineddine, ect in the reserves, I could get away without buying a player ever again.

What season are you in? i.e.: how did you get enough transfer funds? I've just started 2016/17 and have Pogba, Laporte, Lukaku and loads of promising 19 year olds, but don't have enough cash for Stones & Veratti!

Gonna sell Smalling in the next transfer window, he is only 29 but is really shite now. No idea why as he wasn't even injured a lot. Would love to bring in Stones but he'll cost a fortune.

Also thinking about bringing in another Striker, since Kane doesn't really perform as well as a lone striker as he did when we still played with two strikers. Martial is like on a totally different level to him and I'm actually afraid to rest him since Kane usually doesn't do anything else but lose the ball.

Feck me. Shaw with a broken ankle out of the rest of the season and his backup isn't really the best. Alex Telles is a solid player but nothing more, that will certainly hurt.

Martial got injured as well against City, who just hired Klopp as their manager, but thankfully he will only be out for a week. He has been sensational all season and is sitting on 42 goals from 39 games in all competitions for us.

So I lost the first CL semi-final leg against Chelsea with 4-1. My our finishing was shit and at the back pretty much everything went wrong and on top of that Chelsea was just simply better in that match and not only in this one but also in the Cup semi-final where they kicked me out with a 2-1 despite going down to 10 men after 28 minutes.

Naturally I feel like there isn't much chance of us going through, we need a 3-0 against a team I have pretty much not looked like beating in our two last games against them. But I still went with my attacking tactic that I usually use against the smaller teams and hoped for the best. Well and then this happened.

Right on feckin' cue!

Our lad Conrad here is a English/Scottish/Hungarian CB who's(before this season of FM save, 16/17) spent his entire career in Scotland....

Also great after winning the CL for the 4th time in a row and having probably by quite a distance the best squad in the world Young hails me as a wonder-maker. The text pretty much reads as if I just won the CL with Darmstadt 98.

Congrats, one thing getting there and another thing staying there
Cheers, here's hoping, some decent players on offer, could land Weigl, but not sure he fits my tactic.
Thanks. Now looking to win my 4th CL title in a row against the same team as last year, Real Madrid. It's a bit silly that the CL somehow seems to be one of the easiest to win trophies.
Aye, once you've made a team that can win it, you can basically repeat loop.

LvG and Moyes broke the poor lad. Coincidentally, been wanting to do a Damstadt save.

I think I'm going to have to have Zivkovic put down, he just came back from another 5 weeks out, played 2 reserve matches and a 20 minute sub appearance for the first team, all going well. I give him another run out in the under 21s, his fitness is 99/80 so 90 minutes should be fine. He gets injured after 10 minutes for 4 months, out for the rest of the season. He will never reach his potential now as he's effectively missed the entire season. Gonna have to loan him out next year and hope he stays fit.

In my third season now. I'm struggling to keep my newly promoted Derby in the PL and I just sold Will Hughes for £30m (including add-ons) to City on deadline day in January. Managed to get Wimmer, Forsberg and Ravel Morrison with the money though!

Looks like I'm gunna miss out on european football. Won 7 in a row and got pumped 3-0 by Newcastle who turned into Barcelona. Got a mersyside derby next and 3 more games to go. Need Norwich to drop points which I cant see happening and have to win all my games!

I'm tempted to add another manager and start another save within this one with Aldershot and try to get them up the leagues. They are in the playoffs in the conference and I hope they get promoted to league 2

Fecked up with Bradford, started spending on guys like Weigl and way too many prospects, let some crap contracts run out, didn't watch my squad. Like 14 players now, and the season starts in 3 weeks.

Some 16 year olds are going to have to play...

I had an awesome first season with my newly promoted Brighton team. Largely down to Predrag Rajkovic (young serbian goalkeeper), can't recommend him enough, he cost £3mil in my second season (first in premiership), he's currently worth £10mil. He has made so many freakishly good saves.

Just started with United and ideally want a new right winger, is Felipe Anderson any good? Looks to have great stats

Cool thanks guys, looking for an immediate impact ideally, is Berardi good from the start? @Art Vandelay
