Gaming Football Manager 2016

So after starting my career unemployed, Fulham hired me and I was top of the league half way through, then stoke approached me in late December as they were bottom and figured why not, don't plan on sticking too long at one club anyways. Managed to keep them in the league by 2 points (they were 7 points adrift when I took over and 15 games without a win, quite tough to turn around a shit team. Got to the fa cup final as well but lost to Chelsea. Not particularly fond of stoke though, and the sevilla job became available so I went for it and got it.
Suddenly pretty much everyone on my team is wanted by other clubs and throw strops when I don't sell them, so I sell banega, krychowiak both for £35m+, and a few others, bringing in £110m to spend. Managed to make this out of it (gaya was transfer listed, usually nigh on impossible to get him cheaply). Rugani also just a loan. Also have januzaj on loan, and balde Keita from before on the bench. PSG tried activating Konoplyankas 17m release clause but I got him to sign a new contract with a 60m clause since he's my best player. Looks a fun team to use though.

Rico
Mariano Carrico Rugani Gaya
Camacho Tielemans
Mahrez Nolito Konoplyanka
Berardi

Starting to have some fun with my Everton save. Into Feb and i'm sitting in 6th place level on points with Norwich who are 7th and 3 points from 4th spot. United have sacked LvG, re-appointed him as a DOF, promoted Giggs, sacked Giggs and have appointed Diego Simeone and are sitting in 12th place

Signed Charlie Austin in Jan and he is on fire. James McCarthy has stepped up for me. I was playing him in front of the back 4 but now have him as BWM, Barkley as AP and Besic as the shield in front of the defence. Leighton Baines is an assist's machine! Jagielka is out for the season with a knee injury and Funes Mori has also stepped up.

If I get into Europe I'm going all guns blazing for Domenico Berardi, Gabriel Barbosa and Mikel San Jose to replace Jagielka. I cannot seem to sell Lukaku at all.

What can the editor do in this situation? i'm uh asking for a friend :wenger:

Id slash his wages and carrick, set the coaches to 5 star (hate to do sack and hire manually). Give beckham assistant job. Give me a few more m to spend and that's about it

Oh I'd set all scouts to have 20 judging skills.

Nothing game breaking, could have sack and hire in a few months but save me the hassle

Set all preferred formations of my coach to be the same as mine

Oh.. Strp him from captain

Final, here we come! At a cost though, Shaw strained his knee ligaments. Bah.

Had to win my last game with atleast 5 goals to finish at the top of my CL-group, and ended up with a 10-0 win

Coasting through the Bundesliga in the second season. Won 25 of my 28 games, drew the other 3. Knocked Bayern out of the CL quarter finals easily with a 4-1 win at home. Got United in the semi finals. Pogba has been a beast.

My United side is freaking ridiculous.

Martial
Memphis-----------Gabigol
Veratti----Pogba
Schneiderlin
Shaw----Laporte----Stones----Darmian
De Gea

Wilson
Embolo------------Januzaj
Tielemans----Herrera
Thiago Maia
Galloway----Rojo----Smalling----Jones
Johnstone
With Samper and Lincoln out on loan, and TFM, Gribbin, Oxford, Upamecano, Zaineddine, ect in the reserves, I could get away without buying a player ever again.

Not a bad second season..

Martial not work out?

My second team looks like this at the moment.

-------------Higuain
Januzaj------Ozil--------Pereria
--Schneiderlin--Odegaard
Blind--Oxford--Jedvaj--Paslack
-----------Donnaruna

Just started a save with Aletico Madrid playing a flat 4-4-2 not done that formation in f'n years, 3 games in beat. Las Palmas at home 4-1 then drew away to Sevilla 1-1 and just beat Barcelona at home 2-1

Only had £3.5 mil to spend didn't sign anyone
Starting 11

Oblak
Juanfran Godin Savic Luis
Oliver Saul Gabi Koke
Martinez griezmann

Thomas Lemar from Monaco (i think) is a pretty bad ass young AMC. Managed to nab him with my Brighton side in first season in the Premiership so should be reasonable easy for most teams to get. He's turning into a world beater.

I also paid £9.25mil for Ravel Morrison who Lazio had put on the transfer list. Thought "feck it lets give him a go". About a week after I confirmed the transfer I saw that Lazio had fined him for the "14th" time that season......14 FINES IN A SEASON! - He's been ok for me so far, scored some important goals but also cost me a few games by randomly getting sent off for sassing the ref (doesn't foul much so far). It's quite entertaining having in the team. He hates being warned as well so not a long-term option there.

Tbh I wouldn't touch the game until the next gameplay patch, it's pretty much unplayable imho.

Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines whipping in Beckham-esque crosses for Lisandro Lopez who is running riot for my Everton. Charlie Austin is out for the season like Jagielka and I signed Lopez on a free. If he carries on like this then I might just make him my first choice striker next season but he's 32 now. Still pushing for that 4th and 5th spot. Norwich are really good in this version and are level on points in 7th. Everytime I think they will drop points the feckers dont!

Why? Haven't had any problems at all so far. Plays perfectly fine.

Marking is fecked up (defenders like to occasionally leave huge areasy of space open because of terrible positional play) as are offsides too (offsides per game are like 2-3 times the real life average, often from the most ridiculous situations. Maybe it's not as severe for lower league football and I suppose there might be some tactical approaches which can cope well with these problems, but generally speaking the ME is miles behind FM15 in its current state.

Any luck? Best I've seen is a cd key deal for 26 quid

Yeah that's around the best price I've seen. A few going off eBay for 23 quid, not much in the way of good deals probably have to wait for Christmas unfortunately.

Actually just remembered 1 thing that happens far too often, short back passes that forwards pick up to score easy goals. Happens every few games it seems, and far more when using a lower league team (though I was instructing play out of the defence but still). No idea with offsides, didn't really pay much attention to those stats.

Well I'll be getting sacked in a few minutes time. My Southampton team was meant to be looking at a midtable finish but sitting in 19th in december and recently had a talking to from the board. Now I'm 5-2 down at half time to QPR.

Going through my usual "be really bad at FM until I can work it out or just get lucky" opening phase. Signed Stones, Kane and Barbosa for United, whilst selling Valdes and Valencia.

Can't score for love nor money. Only got 6 goals in 8 league games. I've signed Adebayor on a free in a genius strategy. I'm hoping it's going to make my other players think "Christ, I must be awful if he's having to resort to that, so I'd better pull my finger out."

Kane's been awful. I wanted Lukaku :(. Actually, I wanted Berahino first, but Arsenal got him.

Agree with this, the Beta match engine was fine and just needed polishing up, the release engine isn't good enough so far(despite SI saying there has been no change in ME between the two).
