Gaming Football Manager 2016

Football manager 15 my team won champion's league 4 times in a row with a classic 4-2-2

----------------Lewandowski-----Richario Zivkovic-------------------
----------------(Tequartista)-----(Complete Forward)
Sterling(Winger S)----------------------Andre Zivkovic(winger a)

----------------Kovacic--------Pogba/Hojberg----------------------

Shaw--------Laporte----------Jones------------Azpilicueta
-----------------------De Gea--------------------

Second team

---------------------Dybala-----Wilson--------------
Depay------------------------------------Januzaj
------------------Kovavic----Koke/Lucas Romero--------------

Ghoulam--------Rojo-----Stones-----Rafael
-------------------Cech--------------------

Bought some defender from Atletico who's value is 41m and only 20 years old, forgot his name though, i'm in 2019 at the moment. Would highly recommend the 2 Zickovic's, absolute beasts in football manager 15. Rejected a €89million offer for Richario

Rojo and Januzaj turn world class for me for some reason.

Sometimes I love this game!

Beat Liverpool in the mersyside derby despite getting battered. Won 1-0 with my only shot on target which meant they were 4th, Norwich 5th and I was in 6th all level on points. I won my last 4 games after that. Norwich who looked unbeatable lost their last game to Bournemouth and Liverpool lost to the already crowned Champions Man City which meant I sneaked into the 4th Champions league spot. It was a proper 'Aguerooooooo' moment. Was expecting Norwich to thrash Bournemouth who only just survived. I have Valencia in the qualifier though

Sold Mirallas to Monaco and Lukaku to PSG. Managed to get San Jose to replace Jagielka, Berardi, Valdez, Gabriel Barbosa and Thiago Maia. Stupidly loaned out Galloway to Forest without a recall option & I need a LB to cover for Baines. Got no money left! I might just get Tyler Blackett on loan who has returned from Celtic but his stats are poor! Those of you who have signed Gabriel Barbosa before, does he hit the ground running?

My Everton team:

Valdez/Howard

Coleman San Jose Stones Baines
Besic/Maia
Barkley/Canales McCarthy
Berardi Delofeu
Barbosa/Austin

Barbosa arrived knackered for me and then took ages to settle and get fit despite going on holiday and being rested. Second season he missed the start due to some under 23 tournament and has come back knackered...again. I've rested him, he's still knackered and Brazil have called him up again. I'd the same issue with him in last years game, he ends up playing more for Brazil than me due to him being tired and them refusing to rest him.

How are you all selling people? I seriously struggle to get rid of anyone due to the AI constantly giving me really low offers. Pogba now wants to join me, after I spent most of my budget.

I started getting offers left right centre for Mirallas from Premier League teams but accepted the Monaco one. I transfer listed Lukaku earlier in the season but wanted 25million+ plus for him. Offered him around for 15million in the summer and PSG bid for him and the other club who made an offer was........QPR! Jagielka spent the season injured and his stats declined. I also offered him around and Swansea were the only club to bid but he keeps on rejecting their contract offer.

I got Brighton promoted to the premiership in the first season. Since then my chairman has just not stopped giving me money. Is this normal?

I've never had this on any FM. I've literally spent like £80 odd million. Initially I was given around £30mil and then the chairman kept having meetings with me to offer more.

He's not a sugardaddy either and the club were never taken over. Not complaining just seems odd.

After all my problems signing and selling players for reasonable/affordable fees along come the last few days of the window and it goes mental. Herrera went to Monaco for £32m and Powell went to Bournemouth for £2.5m. This freed up a whole lot of money for me to spend and since Pogba now wanted to come back I spent £92m to sort out my midfield.

Overall in the window I did quite well, got Stones and Jorge in early, Rafael came home, Felipe Anderson eventually was brought in to give Depay competition which has worked since Depay has 3 contenders for goal of the season in his first 3 matches and finally bringing Pogba back to the Theatre of Dreams. Bit of a shame for Tielemens as he's been excellent in the centre of midfield in the first 3 matches with BFS injured and Schneiderlin suspended.

That's the new Premiership money deal. It's mental. I spent 85 in my first summer promoted with Bradford City, ffs.

Really? What the feck again, SI.. I usually start a save with an English 2nd or 3rd division club somewhere around christmas, but if they fecked up the finances like that I might as well start with a CL club..

They didn't feck up anything, it's the new TV deal that's coming in next year in real life.

And you think your average newly promoted team will casually net spend £85 million pounds?

This season Norwich net spend £5m, Bournemouth £21m and even the biggest spenders Watford "only" spent £34m. As far as I understand the new TV deal nets every PL club around £35m more per years. So even if we go so far as to assume that literally all of that money goes straight into the transfer budget, that the current rl budgets weren't influenced at all by the upcoming increase in revenue and clubs somehow manage to keep it away from agents and players you still don't come close to £85m.
Transfer budgets have always been a joke in this game but this is simply ridiculous.

Jesus, the fixture list in my 3rd season as United is ridiculous! Twice this season I'll play Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and City right after eachother. Only seperated by my CL-fixture obviously

Does anybody else concede a lot of consolation goals? If I'm 3-0 or so I can pretty much guarantee the other team will get a goal back.

I noticed that a decent DoF makes this game so much more enjoyable! No longer do I need to handle all the staff contracts, youth players being angry or my players having an issue with me. I'm pretty sure that the press have seen my assistant more than me, and my players have been guided straight to the DoF office when they come to me for anything.

Also: Players being transfer listed has been a gold mine so far! I've gotten Isco, Willian and de Bruyne on the cheap due to requested transfers! Could've gotten Otamendi and Coutinho as well :D

Not the average club no, and I didn't say I spent it "casually" at all, did I?

So forget the word casually, but £85m as transfer budget for a newly promoted team without a generous sugar daddy seems far away from reality to me.

I went a bit further than most would, it was a 19m budget, I added a chunk of wages to it, to make 24, they later added another 30m at my request, and 11m sales(16 after January).

The budget was 50-54m, give or take, 65m after sales, but I spent 85 by stretching it with most players. In a few years it won't be all that ridiculous, tbh, the price the last few years even some bang average players went for.

Long ball played by their keeper, my last defender has nobody around him, just outside the penalty box and jogs over to sweep it up. Or so I thought he did, he then gets to the ball and goes down injured. Nobody else moves but for their striker who casually strolls 20 yards or so toward the ball and pops it home. The rest of my defenders and goalkeeper stand still and do feck all as I watch the inevitable goal go in very, very slowly.

Great game.

In other news, Deon Burton is a beast in the lower leagues.

Isn't he about 40?

Mine does none of that. I'd love the moaners to go to him instead of me. I think he just plays solitaire all day.

Re-signing Rafael has been nothing short of a disaster. Injuries(twice), bookings, mistakes leading to goals(twice), tackling his own player while that player is trying to counter attack and we are losing 1-0. He's only played 3 matches and he's managed all that!

@JakeC I don't even know what a fantasy draft is. Sorry.

Odegaard is great. Paid £36m for him despite him playing like 5 games in 3 years in Madrid, but well worth it so far.

Won the league and CL on iPhone version in first season with United. Only purchased Nabil Fekir at the start, and he done brilliant. Martial and Depay banged in a shitload of goals also.

Rooney handed in a transfer request, he went to Sporting Lisbon for 28mill  so I got in Ross Barkley in Jan for 30mill. Started playing Wilson a bit due to injuries and he was also sensational. Him, Martial and Depay end up on 25 goals each for the season!

New season now, brought in William Carvalho as lost out on Rubén Neves to Citeh, Carrick I let and he will also be a future replacement for Sweine. Also lost out on Laporte, but not too bothered.

Looks like Adnan has come back from Dortmund in beast mode too. Stats and attributes look brilliant.

I play 4-1-1-3-1, (wingbacks, dm, mc and 3 x AMC as I play through the middle) so a lot of rotation in my front 4 which is perfect, keeps everyone happy and in form.

I done nothing in work today, a season done in 10 hours :nervous:

Make a copy of your save game and email it to Van Gaal at LVGbigbollocks@manutd.com.

Wanyama just had a work permit failed, despite having a long term contract at Southampton.

I'm losing Oviedo, one of my key players on a free this summer because Costa Rica aren't high enough on some kind of ranking to grant a work permit. The club has said I should send him on loan somewhere until his papers are sorted, how on earth can I send him anywhere when he won't even be my player in two months time? And I can't ask for a work permit for 150 days or something by which time he will be out of contract.

First game of the season at Goodison park, 2-0 up and lost 3-2 to Palace. Valencia in the CL qualifier next. City need to feck off. They have unsettled Barkley and Stones again just like last season. Hope this save mirrors my FM14 Everton save where I won the title in my 2nd season, League cup and FA cup in my 3rd season, league cup and champions league in my 4th season and the title again in my 5th.

I've noticed that the board are very generous in this version. Asked for a new stadium expecting the request to be rejected and the board agreed!

I've somehow turned Depay into the leagues best attacker. He has 6 goals and 2 assists in 7 matches for me this season, he's on fire. I threatened to sell him last season when he was useless and he picked up a bit, then I kept telling him he was brilliant and he kept getting goals or assists. He got injured and couldn't recapture the form when he came back. This season though he started well and I keep telling him how great he is and he keeps on delivering. Even just telling him he's been good in training is enough to keep his spirits up.

He's my second best player now behind Pogba who is an absolute beast in midfield.

Haven't really played FM for a few years but I kind of feel the itch again now. Is this worth upgrading to or should I just get an update for FM14 (if so, where can I find one?)? Thanks.

I keep making the same mistake, year after year!

I stock up on amazing youngsters in every transfer window, toss them into the U18/U21s and after a few years I have to sell off half my first team squad to make room for the youngsters as I'd rather play them

Can a midfield two of a b2b and a DLP work? I play b2b and a ball winner but I want to play Pogba and Tiemelans together more often.

One thing that irritates me is the fan's confidence bit, which, to be fair is probably quite realistic as most football fans are dipshits.

Tomer Hemed was one of my best players for 2 seasons but in my third season with Brighton I had an opportunity to buy Martial for £31mil, which I did but needed to flog Hemed who was getting older and I got a £9mil offer from Swansea so this seemed a good deal to me. The fans were upset at the time (I understand that logic) but fast forward towards the end of the season and Martial has scored 30 odd goals this season and Hemed literally hasn't scored in any league games for Swansea, yet the fans are still upset I sold him, gits!

It's not really "somehow"... Memphis has been a beast on FM for a few years already

If you take a look at the Caf front page, there are still people wanting Kagawa, RvP, Nani, Evans and the rest back.. So it's somewhat realistic

Have they swapped the player injury send to specialist/play through injury options around?

The crafty buggers, I almost sent poor Luke Shaw to his doom because of that.

Alright. Business end of the season. In the CL quarter finals, FA cup semis and nearly won the league. Obviously this happens:

Isco - Injured for 6 months
De Bruyne - Injured for 5 months
Depay - Injured for 3 months
Willian - Injured for 3 months
Lucas Romero - Injured for 3 months

Ridiculous.
