Gaming Football Manager 2015

I'd be quite happy to leave the youngster on the bench, blood them by giving them the last 15-20 minutes of every match, and they'll grow lovely.

Nah, I'll find better players next season. Plus I have a lot of talent sitting in the reserves, just needing to grow.

Going into 4th season, 90% of my youth team is out on loan (ridiculously to the top team, one player going out to madrid and won the EC with them as key player). That'll do just nice :P

Depends on player instructions, it's a very customizable role. You cam make them pretty much deeper Inside Forwards, if you fancy.

Yup. He's a beast at wm/r. Need to train him abit though. He's average 8

Started my season! Signed Ribeiro and Balanta. Due to the damn injury crisis I started with I have Blind and Herrera in midfield, Di Maria as AP ahead on the left and Valencia WM on the right, with Ribeiro and Adnan to come in on either flank. Rooney as a False Nine with Falcao up front. Beat Villa 3-1 in the opening game and just dicked Liverpool 4-0  Falcao scoring a hat trick

Thinking this corner tactic is almost like cheating :D Having my FBs take the corner, and I just scored 4 corners in a match

Yeah so just been sacked by Nuneaton Town. Only got 8 months and things were picking up near the end but we were dropping too many points throughout my reign.

26 games
6 wins
6 draws
14 defeats

Club finances are crap. Can't bring players in. Players there are shite and squad was far too small for this level.

Resigned from Australia too.

12 games
6 wins
3 draws
3 defeats

Won the Championship(few games tidying up to go), almost got to the semis of the FA Cup, knocked out 3-2 in a replay with Chelsea, should have won the first at Stamford Bridge, went up 2-0, ffs.

Definitely a better class of player available to me now, but I don't have the money, as my budget for next season is 11m.

Been offered the France job (as well as being Napoli manager). Took the job as a lot of their players look like they'll be hitting their prime soon, and just need a good tactical set up to get them going properly

I'll probably leave after one game because I get bored of International football though

Hmm, stretching funds every which way, managed a few key/English signings.

Will Hughes, George Thorne, Dan Burn and Jason Steele. None are special, I guess, but all are far better than my current crop.

Guess who's DOF decided to put stupidly low release clauses in their star player's contracts :) :) :)

I fecking hate Balotelli. Every game I play against Liverpool he scores a fecking wonder goal. Lost the away game in the league to them with 2-3 after leading 2-0 because of a wonder goal hat-trick from that cnut he just scores from anywhere on the field.

He also scored a brace in the cup final putting them ahead twice but I turned the game around and won 5-2, take that Ballocnuti.

Still a very good first season. I won the league with 95 points. :D

The capital one cup and the FA-Cup as well.

So all in all a great first season but next season the fun really starts when I have to start integrating the youngsters into the team and also will lose some good players like Carrick.

Now I'm going to look into which newgens to sign and bring to the club early on.

Edit: Aaaand City lost the CL final against Juve. Thanks to a Giovinco goal int he 91st minute.
So City is carring on a long tradition of losing CL finals from my FM14 game where they played in 10 out of 12 CL finals and only won one.

He is one of the most overrated players on the game. Whenever I play him I know he'll always get a goal, it's inevitable.

In my third season as Arsenal manager, current starting XI is:

Courtois
Rafael Balanta Stones Silva
Pogba Ramsey
Ox Gotze Hazard
Barbosa

Subs: GK(R), Chambers, Tielemans, Ozil, Sanchez, Reus, ST(R)

Finding it a little too easy now, so will be my last season.

How the feck do you all manage to sing Pogba? I just bid 80M € for him and Juve wouldn't even budge. They asked for 144M non-negotiable. What's the trick here?

I managed to sign him in the the Jan transfer window of the 2nd season. Got him for around £80m.

I started my second season now but so far it looks unlikely that I'll be able to sign him anytime soon. Juve doesn't want to sell and he isn't interested in joining according to scouting reports which may also be down to Juve just winning the CL. But it would be the same with Hazard, no way would I be able to sign him for any fee that is not beyond ridiculous that is if he would even talk to me. I know things develop differently in different saves but signing big players from rivals in the same league has basically been impossible for me for quite some time now. I don't wanna say there is something fishy going on here but seriously if a team like Arsenal is able to afford, Pogba, Hazard, Courtois and Götze than something fishy is going on here. So what's the trick or is it just a bit of a money boost?

It'd be that difficult for Arsenal. They have great budgets now, combined with some key sales, and transfers heavily focused on add ons. Maybe one or two of them would need to be Unhappy/Request.

Heck, with Crewe, I managed to turn 11m into 30, and with addons managed to get...

Leó, Lucas Boyé, Will Hughes, George Thorne, Dan Burn and Jason Steele. Will Hughes should have been the most of my budget alone.

As an aside, actually made a massive mistake on Steele, paid 2m, and about a month later Sam Johnstone was available, 300k, would have helped finances, though Steele is better.

Wait a couple of seasons, be successful during that time and get a good rep, compliment him as often as you can after performances etc and he'll develop an affinity to you and then declare interest etc to unsettle him. I got him for napoli for 67mill in the third or fourth season (with a 50% of the next fee to juve clause as well)

Madrid the cheeky cnuts wouldnt sell me one of their regen DMs, ended up setting up a deal worth pretty much 90 million for him. Immediately as soon as the deal was complete they lowballed me on one of my midfielders (Abdelhak Nouri), even though logic would dictate that I know they have a feckton of money. I ended up asking for 45 million in cash up front, no deals allowed, and they accepted the negotiation. I kinda wish I'd asked for more now and let them haggle down

Is it me or does "mark specific player" directly translate to "make sure this man has freedom of the stadium"?

I think the whole tight marking thing is bollocks. I concede a lot less since I stopped setting the defenders to mark tightly and close down business. Let the defenders set up as a wall basically, and try and break us down if you can.

As EvilChuck said, he wanted to come to me, so had been unhappy for over a year at Juve. I got a lot of money for Romero so tried a cheeky bid for Pogba and managed to sign him for 65mil. Bargain.

You're right. I tried it and basically the oppo just had to kick and run and they were one-on-one with the keeper. The defender follows the man even off the ball, away from the action leaving a massive gap.

The ME really takes that instruction seriously.

I man marked Higuain at Arsenal, 4 goals. Cnut.

In 14, I had Adam Vass, trained to a defensive peak, 20 marking, tackling and positioning. Having him man mark was literally removing the victim from the game.

Barca just spanked Liverpool 4-1 in the UCL Final. An ex Liverpool hero got a goal...Javier Mascherano with his first for the club after 5 years.

Hmm, closing in on January 2017, was looking at my squad, the loans and transfers that would all be tied up by the first. I thought, despite being mid season, it would be a handy time for a review of how my Crewe plans were going.

First, the truly baffling rise up the leagues, winning League One, and the Championship at first shot with a woefully under quality/rep team. Delighted with this, my tactic seems to be quite the underdog special. Won't be repeating this in the Prem, by looks of things, sitting comfortably mid table, though!

Keeping the squad English, I not so happy with this, I said 8, with half being from Ire/NI/Scot/Wales, but I haven't been keeping to it. Two issues, one being that my quick rise left me user-rep for the needed quality of player. The 2nd, the price of the ones that were available. Still, I've been managing to keep it 12 Eng/10 non-Eng, which I am happy with, compared to my usual squads which often barely have a local in them.

Youth Intakes, two special talents did pop up, and quite a few that have potential to be first team, or rotational players. Downside, Crewe seem to intake a fair few Welsh players.

Transfers. Ivan Toney is bafflingly good, and has grown to a fine Prem. player, 300k from League 2 Northampton Town. Picking up a few good English here and there, a wingback from League One that's also Prem quality(Jake Bidwell). Still, far more value in the foreign markets. Lucas Boyé for a couple of mil, will be a superstar, Léo for about 6 and addons(and Atléti picking up 22k of wage) was an incredible steal, just like he steals the show every single game. Got a potentially world class CM/AM from Rostock(German 3rd) for 1m. English clubs want multiple times that for average talents, ffs. Top Croatian regens seem to pop up regularly either without a club, or non-contract...

So, despite not nailing the goals completely, quite happy. Tbh, a few of my English lads are proper wank, shouldn't be in the Prem.

So Maximilian Meyer was a stater for me, and i had great plans for him. Munich came and signed him for 19m(clause). And now he played a grand total of zero second for them.

Here are the first set of Newgens I managed to capture.

I think my FB positions should be covered for now. :D

Oh and I definitely need to do something about Cartwright's heading. Heading 3 is pretty awful for any defender even a FB.

Chris Jones is "Fairly Sporting" too, hopefully you can fix that.

Yeah as well as his off the ball movement. It's pretty shit for a FB but I guess I can still use him as a defensive backup.

Another thing is that while all these players have at least 4 stars ratings I'm not quite sure they will all make at United. Especially considering that the lad I bought from Dortmund looks absolutely ace and Rafael is a home-grown player and will most likely be a top class player for another 6-8 years.

From 15 years, you should be able to get it to a reasonable level, I(personally, obv.) wouldn't mind it not being that high, as long as his other stats are good.

Those mental attributes at just 15 for the French kid, my word. He will be the most expensive player on the game at some point

Yeah he is also a 4 1/2 star talent. Cost me 15M € but I had to get him because you know he is going to be amazing. Also looks like a future team captain to me with determination 19 and leadership 18, Wright on the other hand could even be better in that regard.

Third season as Ajax-manager now! My two biggest stars in Balanta and Ødegaard left during the summer, as Chelsea and PSG came in with monster offers (compared to what I bought them for), and I've only bought bargains (i.e free transfers, youngsters or transfer listed players). Tello was upset, so brought him in at 1/3rd of his value, so my attacking trio of Ben Arfa, Tello and Chicarito is beautiful (on paper). Evans is a walking disaster at the back though, and I've conceded three times as many goals as last season, though it would always be hard to replace a CB partnership of Zouma and Balanta :(

Oh, and finally got out of my CL-group and even beat Chelsea in the last 16! 5-2 aggregat after winning 4-1 at home when they got a man sent off. Just beat BM 4-0 at home in the first leg of the quarter finals as well, never expected to get this far :D

Got drawn against City in the CL semis, after they've just beated PSG 7-0

Beat them 6-3 at home in the first game, in a crazy period where both teams scored twice during the 51,52,53 and 54th minute of the match

Berardi is just outstanding in this game. I'm having to play him on the right wing as an inside forward since I have to work Vietto and Rooney into the striker position in a 4-2-3-1 without pissing them off about playing time. It's worked out for the better in any case, since Berardi is pounding in goals and assists at a rate only bettered by Depay, which means the front four of the following line-up are all capable of winning games on their own:

-------- Vietto
- Depay - Mata - Berardi
-- Isco - Lucas Romero

Just a laughably good attack. The second string of Rooney, Götze, Januzaj, di Maria, Verratti and Gil Romero isn't half bad either, and Tielemans is starting to break through as well.

Good times ahead.
