Gaming Football Manager 2015

Been offered the Australia job. Going to leave Linfield at the end of the season. Not sure if internationals are right for me just yet, but only club jobs offered are from lower end League 1 / upper end League 2.

May stick with the national team only for a tournament and move on.

I wanna win the CL with Barca, then go on to a lower league club.. I just realised that I've never managed a club in La Liga or Serie A before

How is it that Chicharito can come one-on-one with the keeper 10 times in one match and put every single one of his shots straight at the keeper, but give him one ball outside the box with his back to the goal and he'll leather it straight up into the top corner.

The amount of times my wingers get behind the defence and one squares it to the other, who's almost standing inside the goal at that point and can just tap it into an open net, only to blast it straight at the keeper's face or a mile off target... Christ on a bike.

@Red Stone Your wingers pass!? I can train all of mine to look for pass rather than the shot and yet if they get a 2 on 1 with the goalkeeper they try and finish it themselves instead of taking the easy option and squaring it.

Used to be one of my fave tactics in 14. A winger whipping it far post to an insider forward for the tap in.

Have the striker as a dlf, f9 or treq. to drop and drag the centre backs with them, leaving the inside forward with practically a free route.

Mine shoot when they've got a clear shot on goal as well, but when the angle is tight and they're about on the edge of the box, close to the byline, they'll put in a low cross to the opposite winger who more often than not will miss.

It's the type of thing you see on Youtube compilations of the worst misses ever, yet it happens in every other game for me.

Absolutely smashing it with Crewe.

Sitting in 2nd mid Dec, somehow, hopefully I can hang on for promotion.

Too many johnny foreigners in the squad, but it'll take time to drop a few out. Still not sure what I should limit myself to, something between 6 and 8. Currently 11, I think. Would be easier if it was full fm, as rather than forigners, I'd limit non HG players rather than foreigners, but there are no HG rules(and no handy way of tracking who is/would be HG), like Callum Sanders, who's HG I'd imagine, but Welsh/Turkish.

Only one first team signing in the summer, a lad from Northampton Town in League 2 called Ivan Toney. Relatively quick, talented, and apparently Premiership potential.

On the downside, Sunderland are looking at Sanders. Maybe I can use the cash to land a few English talents. Already tried Dele Alli from MK Dons, but he's not interested, even thought about clicking "all players interested", but it'd probably cheapen the save. EDIT: The pro unlockable argument basically balances on "Fuck MK Dons".

So my time at Linfield has come to an end. 18/19 proved to be eventful. Failed to retain the title. Failed in 2 of 3 major cups but I thought that seeing I won those 3 comps, I'll focus on the one I haven't..the Setanta Cup. In the semi final vs Cork I was 5-1 down with 30 to go. Got it to 5-3. Second leg: 3-0 win. Quality.

That cup has always evaded me in my 4 years at the club. The Irish clubs are way ahead of Northern Irish clubs but getting to the final against Derry should be fun. My final game in charge of the club...ends in 3-0 defeat. :(

Final record with Linfield:
248 games
145 wins
27 draws
76 defeats

Who knows, maybe one day I'll be back to capture that fecking Setanta Cup..

Just seen a keeper miss bundling up the ball, only for it to roll between his legs.

Luckily it wasn't *my* keeper. Toney again with the accidental nutmeg. Actually he had two goals, and two assists, one of the assists should have been his hat trick, but it's one of those ones that was going in anyway that they incorrectly attribute as an OG to the keeper.

Moyes Watch: Just got relegated with Sunderland in 2018/19. They've stuck by him to be the man to promote them from League 1 next season :smirk:

Well, damn.

Got to the point where I changed my tactics to a 4-1-5 to give them room in the middle to save some honour. Just ended up scoring another couple of goals.

Well, Saunders is gone, sigh. Was getting uppity though, and pissed after I rejected Galatasaray. They came back, and I managed to talk them up to much more than I wanted first time around. 4.2m and a 50% of next sale.

Toney was outshining him,anyway.

Haven't played much recently but just managed to top my CL group with Sampdoria. Was in a group with Celtic, PSG and Atletico so pretty pleased. Got Benfica in the next round, fancy my chances. Sitting equal top in the league too with Juventus. Two horse race so will see how that goes. Mourinho just got sacked from United. They've gone through about six managers already and keep spending loads of money. The whole place is in chaos because Mou stripped Rooney of the captaincy and gave it to Carrick, only then let Carrick leave on a free for some weird reason.

Regretted my move from Ajax to Barcelona after less then a month, so loaded up my Ajax-game again. That's allowed, right? :nervous:

Edit: Just one day after I rejected the Barca-gig, Man Utd wanted me.. It's going to be hard to keep refusing all these big clubs :D

Defending is dire on this game and my attack really struggles to score.

Yeah, I couldn't advocate sticking down a path that you're not enjoying. Videogames are meant to be fun.

My Ajax-team has conceded more after 7 games into the new season, then we did in the entire last season :( Damn Balanta had to leave, and Zoumas loan ended.. Evans has not been as great as I was hoping he would be, and this monster I brought in from City has been like Wes Brown at his very worst :(

Had a match with 26 shots (4 clear cut chances and 3 half chances) and one disallowed goal; and fail to score. Of course in the 83rd minute the opposition has their first (and only) effort for the match and score and I lose. So frustrating.

Hmm, MK Dons were leading the league, me in 2nd, but they choked hard(Arsenal levels), and are now 4th. I proceeded to win the league.

Now, all I need is for them to feck the playoffs, and hopefully Dele Alli with consider jumping ship.

Crewe have given me a decent budget too, 8.5m and 35kpw.

Hmm! Jesse Lingard is available, 900k and interested...

I don't play AMC or AMR/L's though..... he's accomplished at MC, and would be perfect for my AP(a) role....

Or, as it's FMC, I could swap my 3-5-2 DM to 3-5-2 AM.

So yeah David Moyes has left League 1 Sunderland to take on the Cardiff job. 22nd in the Championship.

His replacement at Sunderland is Jagielka.

What would Jagielka do...

Raheem Sterling is insane on this game. Attributes similar to Bale, 24 years old, 60 caps and 21 goals. Still at Liverpool who have been contending at the top of the league but yet to win. Chelsea won the league in 18/19 after two years of United and before that domination by City.

Is it possible to change it in the editor so that Asian teams can qualify for the Champions League?

Yeah, about done with this save. Starting to piss me off properly now.

Joao Teixeira was a free agent, made a bid. He accepted less money, and a smaller squad status to play in league 1, over joining me in the Championship.
Ezequiel Rescaldani was also a free agent, offered a trial, which he accepts. Once on trial, no fecking chance does he want to sign, despite no other club being interested.
A CB at Preston North End, one of the worst teams in League One, turned me down to stay there.
Any youngster for a big club. listed for loan, nope. All the nope.
Pretty much any worthwhile Englishman, get to feck.
Broke the bank on a Canadian GK, potential to be one of the best in the world, fails his work permit.

About the only good thing to happen was a regen CM from Luton Town who looks potentially smashing.

Signed Roberto Pereyra on a free, as you do, and he had a great season. Bayern make their interest public in the summer and Pereyra throws a fit when I tell him I want him to stay. The rest of the squad then come in and are basically up in arms about my treatment of him, telling me to feck him off.

Must be a real popular bloke in the dressing room. Anyways, a healthy £35 million profit in the end, and I got Isco, so who's laughing now?

Decided to take on a club job for the final third of 19/20 together with the Australia national job.

Applied for Hereford, in administration, 5 points from safety of Vanarama North.

Get laughed off.

Decided to plug away with Crewe, transfer deadline day now. Didn't get any stars yet, mostly the same squad as last season. No losses in the league, heh, lots of draws, though!

I like FM 2015 though, they capture the "primadona attitude" really well in this game, it's really something keeping them happy.

Lucas Romero was unhappy about wanting a new contract, he asked for 145k (he's currently on 30k).... tell him to do one, and it seems somehow there are huge players influence on the team, once I sold Rooney for mouthing off, the life gets better, and the unrest is gone completely.

I sold RvP (32 years old), and cull the academy (letting 19 players go) and there's no fuss at all
